Objective To conduct a preliminary examination of the factor structure and the reliability and validity of a revised Chinese version of the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory-Form Y (STAI-Y) by using the large sample of migrant children. Methods Perform Exploratory Factor Analysis with half of the data (n =5477) from a large-scale questionnaire survey of students in Grades 4-9 at 58 schools for migrants in Beijing, then conduct Confirmatory Factor Analysis with the other half (n =5476).Results The results of state anxiety and trait anxiety both showed two factors. However, the indicators of trait anxiety were not ideal as seen from the following:the total explained variance was 39.22%,the relationship between the factors and items was not in accordance with the original English version, and the correlation between the two factors was unstable in the different samples (r =-0.17,P < 0.001 ; r =-0.06,P < 0.001).In addition, the factor loading of items 24 ( I wish I could be as happy as others) was low. Conclusion The state anxiety portion of this revised Chinese version of the STAI-Y is structured by the factors state anxiety present and state anxiety absent, and with good reliability and validity as well.Nevertheless, the trait anxiety portion of this revised Chinese version of the STAI-Y is structured by the factors trait anxiety present and trait anxiety absent,it shows unstable reliability and validity.

Objective To compare the immune protective effect of different antigens of Trichinella spiralis:excretory-secretory(ES) antigen of adult worms, ES antigen of muscle larva and their mixed antigens in mice. Methods ES antigens of Trichinella spiralis adult worms and muscle larva were produced by the physiological saline culture methods. The ES antigens of Trichinella spiralis adult worms, muscle larva and the mix were used to immunize mice 3 times at 7 day interval, adjuvant control and normal control were set up. Seven day after the final immunization, each mouse was orally challenged with 200 Trichinella spiralis larva. Intestinal adult worms and muscle larva of Trichinella spiralis of each group were recoveried and examined on Day 7 and Day 30 post-challenge,respectively. Results The intestinal adult worms of Trichinella spiralis reduced by 87.95%, 69.48% and 84.34% in the adult worm ES antigen group, muscle larval ES antigen group and their mixed antigen group, respectively, while muscle larva reduced by 74.79%, 87.97% and 86.87% respectively. Adult worm reduction rates of the adult worm ES antigen group and mixed antigen group were higher than those of muscle larval ES antigen group (P

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the protective effects of rosiglitazone maleate on renal ischemia-reperfusion injury in mice and its mechanism.METHODS: 30 mice were randomly divided into sham operation group(normal saline),model group(normal saline) and rosiglitazone maleate group(rosiglitazone maleate 5 mg?kg-1?d-1).Three groups received relevant drugs for 10 days.Renal ischemia-reperfusion injury model was induced in model group and rosiglitazone maleate group by clipping the renal pedicle 40 minutes after the last administration. The renal index, the content of blood urea nitrogen(BUN) and creatinine(Cr),the content of malondialdehyde(MDA),the activities of superoxide dismutase(SOD) and glutathione peroxidase(GSH-Px) in renal tissue were detected.Pathological change of renal tissue was observed by HE stain.RESULTS: Compared with model group, the renal index of the mice in rosiglitazone maleate group reduced(P

Hepatitis B virus ( HBV) is an important pathogen threatening to human health. Up to date, various of cell infection models and animal models for HBV and the host are widely used in the exploring research of infection mechanism, new drug development and effective therapeutic method for HBV. However, these models have some defects, such as low infection rate, rather short infective stage, and comparatively large species differences with human, and so on. Among them, the biggest problem is that these models cannot completely simulate HBV infection process and pathological changes naturally occurred in human. Herein, the major HBV infection models developed in the past fifteen years, as well as the latest research progress, are presented as a brief review, to provide a reference for constructing novel HBV infection models in the future.

Objective:To determine the correlation of BCG concentration in Freund complete adjuvant ( FCA) and severity of arthritis during arthritis establishment in DBA 1/j male mice induced by bovine type Ⅱcollagen. Methods:CIA was induced by the im-munization of DBA1/j mice with bovine type Ⅱcollagen and BCG of various concentrations dissolved in FCA.To ascertain the effects administering the collagen booster,CIA-related features(including body weight, clinical scoring of arthritis),TNF-αin serum and the histopathological changes in the spleen and the joints regions were measured.Results:4 mg/ml BCG induced more serious arthritis than 1 mg/ml in DBA1/j mice after collagen exposure. Conclusion:There is a positive correlation of arthritis severity with BCG.Which indicates that selection of adjuvant with suitable BCG concentration could determine pathological outcome in CIA mouse model .

Objective To discuss drug application and nursing experience during CT contrast enhancement in infants. Methods CT contrast enhancement with Ultravist, one of the non-ionic contrast media, was performed on 202 infants. Before examination, all the infants were calmed with Diazepam or Chloral Hydrate(10% in concentration). The doses of the drugs were determined by the weight of these infants. Results Non-ionic contrast media was not absolutely safe and a few infants had side effects.Only 7 infants had positive allergic tests. The results of CT contrast enhancement on 202 infants were satisfied. Conclusion During CT enhancement, appropriate use of contrast media and sedatives as well as proper nursing according to the infants’ age will get a better result.

Objective:To determine the sensitivity of SMMC-7721 cells to mDRA-6,the synergistic damage effect of mDRA-6 and adriamycin on human hepatocellular carcimoma cell lines and its possible mechanism.Methods:SMMC-7721 cells were cultured with RPMI1640 medium in regular condition. The morphology was observed by microscope.Cytotoxicity was examined by MTT assay. Apoptosis were detected by flow cytometry.Results:(1)The apoptosis of SMMC-7721 cells could be induced by mDRA-6,1.89 ?g/ml of mDRA-6 cound kill 36% of the cells;(2)Concentration-dependent cytotoxicity of adriamycin was exhibited in SMMC-7721 cells;(3)The combination of mDRA-6 and adriamycin exhibited synergistic effect on SMMC-7721 cells.2 ?g/ml of mDRA6 and 40 ng/ml of adriamycin killed 60%SMMC-7721.Conclusion:MDRA-6 can induce SMMC-7721 cell apoptosis. The combination of mDRA-6 and adriamycin exhibit synergistic effect on SMMC-7721 cells.

Purpose:To study the diagnosis and treatment of urachal carcinoma, and to improve its prognosis. Methods:Three patients with urachal carcinoma are described. In addition, many related literatures from Medline and Chinese journals are reviewed. Results:All three cases were presented with subumbilical masses, and received urachectomy and partial cystectomy. One of them had Bricker's sugery. Two patients survived for 53 and 25 months without tumor. Conclusions:History and physical examination should be given special emphasis. Early detection and well planned regimen can improve the patients' prognosis.

Acta Nutrimenta Sinica 1956;0(03):-
As an excellent unicellular biological model, Tetrahymena pyriformis S1 has been employed in studying the biological effects of the chemical elements. The nutritious and/or toxic effects on T. pyriformis S1 induced by As, Se, Te, Re, Ir have been observed. Trace amounts of As, Se, Re and Ir added in the peptone-glucose culture medium could stimulate the cell proliferation of T. pyriformis in the following range of concentration respectively: As 0.03-0.05 ppm, Se 0.01-1.0 ppm, Re 0.02-0.08 ppm, Ir 1.0-3.0 ppm, whereas Te only showed its inhibitory effect on the growth of cells.
