Method: Five hundreds and ninty-two patients were divided into an acupuncture group and a Chinese medicine group. Results: The total effective rate was 84.4% in the acupuncture group and 78.8% in the Chinese medicine group, and the curative effect was better in the former than in the latter (P<0.05);the change rate in abnormal electroencephalogram was better in the acupuncture group than in the Chinese medicine group (P<0.05); there was a significant correlation between the curative effect and age (P<0.01), and the curative effect of acupuncture was better in the young. Conclusion: Acupuncture treatment has a good effect on infantile attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, its total effective rate was higher and the changes in abnormal electroencephalogram was better than in the Chinese medicine group, and the curative effect was better in the liver-qi stagnation type and in the young.
5.Treatment of 84 Cases of Shoulder Periarthritis by Tuina plus Acupuncture
Journal of Acupuncture and Tuina Science 2003;1(2):47-49
Acupuncture, Tuina and combination of acupuncture and Tuina were used to treat 250 cases of shoulder periarthritis who were randomly divided into three groups. Bingfeng (SI 12) and Ashi points were selected and cupping therapy was also given following acupuncture in acupuncture group; pressing, kneading and plucking manipulations were performed in Tuina group, acupuncture plus Tuina were employed in group of acupuncture plus Tuina. The therapeutic results showed acupuncture plus Tuina was better than simple Tuina, and statistical analyses demonstrated P <0.05.
6.Clinical Observation of Nerve-near Needling for Occipital Neuralgia
Journal of Acupuncture and Tuina Science 2009;7(2):91-93
Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of nerve-near needling for occipital neuralgia.Methods:Eighty-two subjects were randomly allocated into two groups:treatment group in which 46 cases was treated by nerve-near needling[points Tianzhu(BL 10)and Tianyou(TE 16)were selected],and control group in which 36 cases were treated by conventional acupuncture[points Tianzhu(BL 10),Fengchi(GB 20),Baihui(GV 20),Shimian Ⅱ (Extra),Wangu(GB 12)and Hegu(LI 4)were selected].One course of treatment consisted of 3.5 times, and three courses of treatment were given at most before calculating efficacy. Results:The short-term total effective rate was 93.5%in the treatment group and 69.4%in the control group, with a statistically significant difference between the two groups(P<0.01);the long-term total effective rate Was 64.1%in the treatment group and 43.3%in the control group, with a statistically significant difierence between the two groups(P<0.05).Conclusion:Nerve-near needling is better than conventional acupuncture in treating occipital neuralgia.

Journal of Acupuncture and Tuina Science 2006;4(5):274-278
Objective: To research the clinical curative effect and explore the mechanism of penetrating of scalp-point on acute hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH). Methods: 66 patients were randomly divided into two groups: one is the scalp-point therapeutic group, the other is the western medicine group. The two groups were all treated by dehydration, etc. In addition, there are 20 normal people to be set as the healthy group. To select the nervous functional deficit mark, activity of daily living (ADL) form, the amount S-100B protein as indexes and analysis the results. Results: the recordings indicate the patients' Serum S-100B protein are related with nervous functional deficiency mark. After 28 days, the recovery of patients' nervous function of scalp acupuncture group was obviously superior to that of control group (P<0.05). Conclusions: The results suggested that the patients' Serum S-100B had positive correlation with nervous functional deficit; The penetrating of scalp-point had the better regulatory effect on the level of Serum S-100B, and could improve the nervous functional deficit and ADL, so as to improve the coordination and compensation function and the general nervous function between cortical functional areas
