Student preparation for laboratory sessions is the first step of conducting laboratory experiments. It makes students maximize use of laboratory time and efficiently perform laboratory exercises in open labs. In view of teaching features and requirements of Microbiology experiment, we designed and developed ‘Online Student Preparation and Management System of Microbiology Experiment’, which integrated func- tions of student preparation for laboratory sessions and teacher management. In the system each experiment consists of six successive parts, viz., learning objectives, principle, materials and equipments, procedure video, manipulation simulation and online quiz. Teaching practices showed that the application of the system enhanced the preparing quality and makes the management of the experiment teaching more normalized and efficient. It was an effective measure in improving experimental teaching of Microbiology.

In order to demonstrate PTB bind to HPRE,reverse transcription,PCR-mediated detection, were used.HepG2.2.15 cell line and HBs-HPRE transient expression cells were adopted to identify PTB function in HBV life cycle. The results showed that PTB could directly bind to HPRE RNA.Functional analysis indicated that PTB could inhibit the expression of HBs antigen and this inhibition was in a dose-dependent manner in HepG2.2.15 cells.Higher expression of HBs in cells transfected pcDNA3-HBs-HPRE comparing with pcDNA3-HBs,and this high expression could also be inhibited by PTB.The data demonstrated that PTB inhibits HBs expression by interacting with HPRE.

Journal of Huazhong University of Science and Technology (Medical Sciences) 2018;38(4):684-690
U-shaped sacral fractures are rare and often difficult to diagnose primarily due to the difficulty in obtaining adequate imaging and the severe associated injuries. These fractures are highly unstable and frequently cause neurological deficits. The majority of surgeons have limited experience in management of U-shaped sacral fractures. No standard treatment protocol for U-shaped sacral fractures has been available till now. This study aimed to examine the management of U-shaped sacral fractures and the early outcomes.Clinical data of 15 consecutive patients with U-shaped sacral fracture who were admitted to our trauma center between 2009 and 2014 were retrospectively analyzed.Demographics, fracture classification, mechanism of injury and operative treatment and deformity angle were assessed. All the patients were treated with lumbopelvic fixation or (and) sacral decompression.EQ-5d score was applied to evaluate the patients' quality of life.Of the 15 consecutive patients with U-shaped sacral fracture, the mean age was 28.8 years (range:15-55 years) at the time of injury. There were 6 females and 9 males. The mean followup time was 22.7 months (range:9-47 months) and mean full weight-bearing time was 9.9 weeks (range:8-14 weeks).Ten patients received lumbopelvic fixation and sacral decompression, one lombosacral fixation, and 4 merely sacral decompression due to delayed diagnosis or surgery. The post-operation deformity angle (mean 27.87°,and range:8°-90°) of the sacrum was smaller than that pre-operation (mean 35.67;range:15-90) with no significance difference noted. At the latest follow-up,all patients obtained neurological recovery with different extents.Visual analogue score (VAS) was reduced from preoperative 7.07 (range:5-9) to postoperetive 1.93 (range:1-3).All patients could walk without any aid after treatment.Eight patients were able to care for themselves and undertook some daily activities.Five patients had returned to work full time.In conclusion, lumbopelvic fixation is an effective method for stabilization of U-shaped sacral fractures with fewer complications developed.Effective reduction and firm fixation are the prerequisite of early mobilization and neurological recovery.Sacral decompression effectively promotes neurological recovery even in patients with old U-shaped sacral fractures.

Chinese Journal of Medical Instrumentation 2002;26(5):316-338
The proposed registration algorithm based on wavelet transform is a multi-resolution block matching one, which exploits the hierarchical self-similarity of Digital Subtraction Angiography images. This method befittingly trades off between the estimation precision and computational complexity, because the registration precision is from coarse to fine, which reduces the searching complexity of motion vector. This technique has been proved that the convergence speed is exponential. The proposed method takes full advantage of the precise location both temporally and frequently which characterizes the wavelet transform. Both the matching speed and consistency are boosted without the loss of matching performance.

OBJECTIVE:
To evaluate clinical effects of posterior root tear of lateral meniscus through bone tunnel suture under arthroscopy.
METHODS:
From January 2012 to December 2014, 23 patients with posterior root tear of lateral meniscus repaired through bone tunnel suture under arthroscopy, including 15 males and 8 females, aged from 19 to 48 years old with an average age of (25.0±4.7) years old; 10 knees on the left side and 13 knees on the right side. Complications were observed, Lysholm score before and after operation at 12 months were used to evaluate clinical results, and VAS score was applied to assess pain relief. MRI was used to check recovery outcomes of lateral meniscus injury.
RESULTS:
All patients were followed up from 13 to 24 months with an average of (17.0±4.3) months. No injury of vessels, nerve and incision infection occurred. Motion of knee joint of 19 patients reached normal, 4 patients manifested limited activity of knee joint at12 months after operation. Postoperative Lysholm score 88.52±6.48 at 12 months was higher than that of before operation 46.12±7.35; Postoperative VAS score 0.8±0.7 at 12 months was lower than that of before operation 4.3±1.6.
CONCLUSIONS
Bone tunnel suture under arthroscopy for the treatment of posterior root tear of lateral meniscus could relieve pain, decrease postoperative complications and obtain good clinical efficacy.

Chinese Journal of Digestive Endoscopy 2018;35(1):27-31
Objective To investigate the efficiency and safety of endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD)for rectal neuroendocrine neoplasm(NEN). Methods A retrospective analysis was performed on data collected from 58 consecutive patients with rectal NEN,who underwent endoscopic ultrasonography and followed by ESD from January 2006 to January 2016 at Peking University First Hospital. Patients′endoscopic and pathological features, clinical manifestations, R0 resection rate and follow-up results were studied. Results En bloc resection was achieved for all of the 58 lesions with a mean diameter of 7.6 mm(range 3.0-18.0 mm). The complete resection rate was 94.8%(55/58). One patient showed postoperative bleeding. The diameter of lesion more than 15 mm increased the risk of non-R0 resection(P<0.05). During the mean follow-up of 3.2 years(range 1.2-11.2 years), all patients remained free from local recurrence. However, distant metastasis was detected in 1 NEN G2 patient with lymphatic invasion(1.7%). Conclusion ESD is effective for treatment of rectal NEN with diameter less than 15 mm and causes less complications. Tumor features and stage determine the risk of distant metastasis,so long-term follow-up is essential.

OBJECTIVETo explore diagnostic value of MRI on posterior root tear of medial and lateral meniscus.
METHODSFrom January 2012 to January 2016, clinical data of 43 patients with meniscal posterior root tear confirmed by arthroscopy were retrospective analyzed, including 25 males and 18 females, aged from 27 to 69 years old with an average age of(42.5±8.3)years old;27 cases on the right side and 16 cases on the left side. MRI examinations of 43 patients with tear of posterior meniscus root confirmed by knee arthroscopies were retrospectively reviewed. MRI images were double-blinded, independently, retrospectively scored by two imaging physicians. Sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of MRI diagnosis of lateral and medial meniscus posterior root tear were calculated, and knee ligament injury and meniscal dislocation were calculated.
RESULTSForty-three of 143 patients were diagnosed with meniscus posterior root tears by arthroscopy, including 19 patients with lateral tears and 24 patients with medial tears. The sensitivity, specificity and accuracy in diagnosis of posterior medial meniscus root tears for doctor A were 91.67%, 86.6% and 83.9% respectively, and for doctor B were 87.5%, 87.4% and 87.4%, 19 patients with medial meniscal protrusion and 2 patients with anterior cruciate ligament tear. The sensitivity, specificity and accuracy in diagnosis of posterior lateral meniscus root tears for doctor A were 73.7%, 79.9% and 79% respectively, and for doctor B were 78.9%, 82.3% and 82.5%, 4 patients with lateral meniscus herniation and 16 patients with cruciate ligament tear. Kappa statistics for posterior medial meniscus root tears and posterior lateral meniscus root tears were 0.84 and 0.72.
CONCLUSIONSMRI could effectively demonstrate imaging features of medial and lateral meniscal root tear and its accompanying signs. It could provide the basis for preoperative diagnosis of clinicians, and be worthy to be popularized.
