Objective To describe the preoperative factors of prolonged intensive care unit length of stay after coronary artery bypass grafting. Methods From 1997 to 2009, 1318 patients underwent isolated CABG in our hospital. Retrospective analysis was performed on these cases. Univariate and multivariate analyses for preoperative risk factors were performed. Prolonged length of ICU stay was defined as initial admission to ICU exceeding 72 h. Results The mean age of patients ( 322women and 996 men) was (67.4±9.4) years. Of 1318 patients undergoing isolated CABG from 1997 to 2009, 205 experienced prolonged length of ICU stay. The length of ICU stay was (40.1 ± 22.5 ) hours and ( 122.6 ± 48.7 ) hours separately.Overall in-hospital mortality was higher among these 205 patients ( 13.7% vs. 1.2%, P ＜0.05 ). The overall mortality was 3.1%. In univariate analyses, there were statistically significant differences with respect to the percentage of CPB, total bypass time, cross-clamp time, number of distal anastomoses, use of pressor agent, use of intro-aortic balloon pump,time of ventilation and hospital mortality. The significant risk factors were age, NYHA class Ⅲ/Ⅳ, left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF) ＜0.40, renal failure, cerebrovascular and/or peripheral vascular disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, recent acute myocardial infarction, prior percutaneous coronary intervention, left main stenosi, three-vessels disease. The variables entered into the multivariate logistic regression were age, NYHA class Ⅲ/Ⅳ, LVEF ＜0.40, renal failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, recent acute myocardial infarction, prior percutaneous coronary intervention, three-vessels disease. According to the outcome of multivariate logistic regression, we can conclude the model of probability forecast and create a new variable named Pre. The area under ROC curve of the new variable Pre was larger than other variables. Conclusion The main risk factors of prolonged ICU length of stay were LVEF ＜ 0.40, recent acute myocardial infarction, renal failure and chronic obstructive pulmorary disease. The AUC of variable Pre was higher than other' s , which indicated that new variable Pre combining each variable was more valuable than single variable with respect to prediction. A predicted probability of 0. 754 was used as cut-off point for the prognostic test.

Objective To evaluate the clinical efficacy of Memotherm TM stent,a type of metallic stent in the management of secondary ureteropelvic junction obstruction. Methods From October 1995 to June 2001,13 cases (10 males and 3 females,mean age of 41 years) of secondary ureteropelvic junction obstruction underwent the Memotherm TM stenting.They were all followed up for an average of 26 months by B ultrasound,IVU,radionuclide renography and ureteroscopy. Results Of the 13 case,8 were cured,and 3 achieved improvement,while 2 cases failed.The main complications of endoprosthetic fibrotic stricture occurred in 5 cases.The forceps or YAG laser through ureteroscopy was used to remove the endoprosthetic fibrotic tissues. Conclusions Memotherm TM stent is mostly effective in the treatment of patients with secondary ureteropelvic junction obstruction,especially for patients who has undergone multiple operations or those are ineligible for open surgery.This procedure can significantly reduce the recurrence of ureterostenosis.

Objective To summarize the causes of failed drainage of double J ureteral stents following ureteroscopy. Methods From June 2000 to March 2003,the double J ureteral stents were placed for 3972 patients (2184 males and 1788 females)following ureteroscopy.The stents were placed through retrograde approach in 3138 cases,through antegrade approach in 1497 cases.The patients were followed up until the ureteral stents were retrieved. Results Of the 4635 cases,failed drainage of double J ureteral stent was found in 115 cases (2.48%).The main causes were severe extra luminal obstruction,serious steinstrasse,severe ureteral stricture and overperiod placement of ureteral stents. Conclusions Correctly identifying the indications for ureteroscopy and the placement of double J ureteral stents as well as close follow up are the keys to reduce the failure rate of drainage of double J ureteral stents following ureteroscopy.

[Objective] To study the effect of anti-infective reconstituted bone xenograft(ARBX)on treating chronic hematogenous osteomyelitis as one-stage grafting.[Method]ARBX was used to treat 24 cases of chronic hematogenous osteomyelitis as one-stage grafting after debridement since September of 2001,17 cases of which were followed up for an average period of 34 months(range,12 to 79 months).[Result]Except 1 case failed to cure,and 1 resulted in recurrence of infection,and 1 with large segmental bone defect nonunion post-operatively,other 14 cases were cured,the cure rate was 82.4% which was better than traditional therapy.[Conclusion]ARBX has high osteoinductive activity and enhanced anti-infective capability,which enables it to be used as primary grafting to treat chronic hematogenous osteomyelitis.

Objective To study the possible protective mechanisms of Anisodamine against liver injury induced by hemorrhage shock(HS). Methods In this study, we established animal models induced by HS and endotoxin, observed the expressions of NF-?B mRNA and heat shock protein 70(HSP 70) mRNA by In-situ hybridization (ISH) in liver kupffercells(KC) and studied the pathologic changes of the liver tissue by microscope. Results After stimulus of HS and injection of endotoxin, the mRNA expressions of HSP70 and NF-?B in KC were (0.1565?0.0260) and (0.1659?0.0103),respectively, and significantly higher than those in the control group (0.0328?0.0201; 0.0256?0.0043)(P

Objective　Standard method of testing serum fluoride was tested and verified by certified reference material CRM of free fluo ride component in cattle serum (GBW 09143～09144).The method was suited for fluor ide research to assess its practical value.Methods　ISE-standard curve,linear relationship,linear range,sensitive and precision were disired result by CRM.400 serum of fluoride in rats were measured.Results　The linear ranges of the method were 0.02～5.0 mg/L,r=0.9999,b=57.8,and test lower limit was 0.013 mg/L.The test value was equal to standard value.Conclusions　The standard method is accurate,sensitive,convenient and small sample is used;and it is easy to spread.Thus,it has been of practical value.

Objective To investigate the effects of spindle poisons (Vincristine, VCR and Colchicine, COL) on the tk gene of mouse lymphoma cells. Methods L5178Y cells were treated with VCR and COL at different concentrations. Determination of cytotoxicity, cell inoculation efficiency, relative survival rate, relative suspension growth rate and mutation frequency was performed. Results The relative survival rate and suspension growth rate of L5178Y cells decreased significantly with the increasing doses of VCR and COL. The mutation frequency of tk gene induced by VCR (0.5～2.5 ng/ml) and COL(10～50 ng/ml) was 1～3 times higher than that of spontaneous mutation frequency of L5178Y cells. Conclusion VCR and COL have obvious cytotoxic and mutagenic effects on tk gene in L5178Y cells.

AIM: To compare brucine with the mixed solution of brucine and nano-liposomes to observe analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects of the brucine nano-liposome for local use on skin were studied. METHODS: The effects of brucine,brucine and nano-liposomes mixed solution,brucine nano-liposome,on the edema of mouse ear induced by dimethylbenzene and the writhing induced by acetic acid were investigated. RESULTS: The results showed that brucine nano-liposomes exhibited better anti-inflammatory and analgesic activities than the brucine.(P

Objective To evaluate the situation of blood concentration detection in Zunyi city by the way of analyzing the practice of blood concentration detection for the past 4 years .Methods The bood samples of 194 928 persons who were voluntary blood donators since full implementation of centralized blood test from February 2011 to December 2014 were analysed .Results The unqualified rates of the 5 detection indicators from the seven blood center banks were closed to the centre blood station ,which was rang from 3 .15% to 4 .85% ,the total unqualified rate was 3 .72% and no significant difference was found(P> 0 .05) .Since the concentration of blood detection ,blood donators in the 7 blood center blood banks increased year by year .Conclusion Blood concen-tration detection improves the blood test quality in this single region ,and promotes the development of blood donation career .
