Orthopedic Journal of China 2006;0(11):-
[Objective]To evaluate the clinical results of the patients with severe kyphosis and paraplegia in differnt spine segment due to tuberculosis of thoracic and lumbar which had been treated by different surgical procedure. [Methods]There were a total of 23 patients, 16 male and 7 female in this stuady. The average age were 25 years, ranging from 12~56 years old. Tuberculosis lesion were located in different spine segment(T1~4)four cases, (T5~10)four cases, (T11~L2) nine cases,(L3~5) six cases, two vertebral bodies were involved in 8 patients and three vertebralbodies involved in 12 patients. Surgical procedure:four patients treated through modified anterior cervico-thoracic approach.Five patients treated through one stageposterior total vertebral osteotomy, other patients combined with anterior-posterior approach, according to the patient's surgical situation, twelve patients accepted anterior and posterior combined operation, two patients were treated by two stages. The period of bone grafting fusion, kyphosis deformity correction degree ,and neurological function recovery record were investigated postoperatively.[Results]All patients got solid fusion in a average of seven months. The kyphosis deformity was corrected 49? in average, which was maintained well within follow-up period. Patients neurological function deficiency achieved completely recovery, the longest time being within 10 months. All patients were cured thoroughly and there was no seroius complication.[Conclusion]Different surgical procedure should be selected, according to different spine segments due to tuberculosis of thoracic and lumbar vertebrae with the extent of severe kyphosis and paraplegia, it can achieve thoroughly debridement of tubereulosis, solid interbody fusion, good correction of deformity and forever stability of spine with anterior or posterior internal fixation. It could get successful rehablitation for patient’s neurological function and improve the patient’s life quality.

Objective To study the cause, clinical characteristics and treatment of HFmrEF,HFrEF and HFpEF patients. Methods Three hundred and eighty-five heart failure (HF) patients aged ≥60 years admitted to our hospital from January 2016 to March 2017 were divided into HFrEF group (n=96),HFmrEF group (n=34) and HFpEF group (n=255) according to their ejection fraction.Their demographic data,HF cause, clinical characteristics, cardiac ultrasonographic data, laboratory testing data and therapies were recorded.Their clinical characteristics were compared. Results The number of males was greater and the cardiac function grade Ⅳ was higher in HFmrEF group than in HFrEF and HFpEF groups. The incidence of hypertension was the highest followed by that of valvular disease. The number of HFmrEF patients who used intravenous nitrates, spironolactone and milrinone was greater than that of HFpEF and HFrEF patients who used intravenous nitrates, spironolactone and milrinone. The serum creatinine level was higher in HFmrEF patients than in HFpEF and HFrEF patients at the time when they were discharged. Conclusion Hypertension and valvular disease are the mian risk factors for HFmrEF.The number of males is greater and the cardiac function grade Ⅳ is higher in HFmrEF patients than in HFrEF and HFpEF patients. The serum creatinine level is higher and the outcome is better in HFmrEF patients than in HFrEF and HFpEF patients at the time when they are discharged.

OBJECTIVE:To prepare and appraise eucalyptus oil?-cyclodextrin inclusion compound, and to testify the feasibility of transforming the dosage form of eucalyptus oil by clathration techniques.METHODS:The physicochemical properties of inclusion compound was identified by thin-layer chromatography(TLC),infrared spectroscopy(IR),ultra-violet spectroscopy(UV)and gas chromatograph mass spectrometer(GC-MS),respectively.Meanwhile,the changes in constituents and clathration outcomes of eucalyptus oil before and after clathration were also investigated.RESULTS:The analytic result of TLC,IR and UV showed that stable inclusion compound has been formed from eucalyptus oil and?-cy?clodextrin.The result of GC-MS demonstrated that there was no significant change in the essential components and the percentage composition of eucalyptus oil before and after inclusion.CONCLUSION:Stable inclusion compound can be made from eucalyptus oil and?-cyclodextrin meanwhile without changes in main components and the percentage composition of eucalyptus oil.

Objective To isolate and identify differential expression genes associated with multidrug resistance of leukemia . Methods Differential expression genes between leukemia cell line K 562 and resistant cell lines K562/DOX were isolated by using suppression subtractive hybridization (SSH) technique .Total RNA were extracted .cDNA were synthesized and digested by restric-tion enzyme Rsa Ⅰ ,then connected with adopter1 and adopter2R ,and linked with pMD19-T vector .Constructed vectors were trans-ferred into E .coli .Subtracted cDNA library was constructed ,and the positive clones were screened according to base sequences and homologous sequences .The differential expression genes were indentified by comparison analysis of Gene Bank database .Results A total of 220 differential expression genes were sequenced ,including hemoglobin ,ribosomes and mitochondria related genes ,and heat shock factor binding protein 1 (HSPB1) gene and other genes .Conclusion SSH method and molecular cloning technique could be used to construct subtracted cDNA library of differential expression genes between drug resistant and not -resistant leukemia cells , which might be useful for further screening and cloning of differential expression genes of multidrug resistant tumor cells .

Objective To investigate whether the neutrophil serine proteinase 3 (PR 3),a specific autoantigen of C ANCA,could induce human fetal glomerular endothelial cell apoptosis in vitro .Methods PR 3 was isolated from polymorphonuclear leukocytes obtained from C ANCA positive children with SLE.The cultured glomerular endothelial cells from human fetal kidneys were treated with PR 3 and apoptosis was assessed by different methods including the propidium iodide staining,DNA fragmentation analysis, and morphology observation. Results Percentage of apoptotic cells significantly increased ( P

Objective: To investigate the effect of adhesion of Lactobacillus reuteri JCM1081 to enterocyte-like HT-29 cells on filamentous cytoskeleton. Methods:Cultured human intestinal enterocyte-like HT-29 cells were used.Cell permeability was examined in vitro by Evans blue labeled albumin and Examination of F-actin was conducted by direct immuno-fluorescence labeling using fluorescein labeled phalloidin. Results:Lactobacillus reuteri JCM1081 did not alter cell integrity and prevented the increase in permeability induced by enteropathogenic Escherichia coli infection. The distribution of F-actin were also not altered. Conclusion :Lactobacillus reuteri JCM1081 exerts a protective effect against the filamentous cytoskeleton rearrangement and permeability lesions promoted by enteropathogenic Escherichia coli infection.
