In this article, HPLC fingerprint analysis method for total flavonoids from pollen of Brassica campestris L.was established., The HPLC fingerprint was performed on Waters C18 column (250 mm × 4.6 mm, 5 μm), eluted gradiently with the mixture of acetonitrile and 0.4% phosphoric acid aqueous solution at a flow rate of 0.8 mL·min-1. The column temperature was 40℃. The detection wavelength was 320 nm. The HPLC standard fingerprint of total flavonoids from pollen of Brassica campestrisL. was established, and 16 common peaks were calibrated. The method was simple, stable, and reproducible. It could be applied for quality control of total flavonoids from pollen of Brassica campestris L.

Objective To evaluate the influence of different surface roughness on final surface texture of glazed ceramic. Methods Sixty porcelain discs were fabricated and randomly divided into five groups (n=12), which were sequentially grounded with water-cooled sandpapers of decreasing abrasiveness (220# , 400# , 600# , 800# and 1200# grit), and then all the specimens were glazed. Before and after glazing, the surface roughness (Ra) μm of the same specimens were evaluated quantitatively with profilometer and qualitatively using scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Results The smoothest surfaces were obtained with 1 200# sandpapers griting prior to overglazing (Ra =0. 19 μm),and 220# sandpapers griting prior to overglazing displayed the roughest surfaces (Ra =0. 55 μm) ; each group displayed significant difference before and after glazing (P < 0. 05). The images obtained through SEM were consistent with the profilometer readings. Conclusions The results suggest that decreasing the surface roughness of dental ceramic prior to glazing is of great importance in order to obtain the smoothest surface after glazing.

OBJECTIVE:To study the optimum formation technics of Xuesaitong drop pill.METHODS:Parallel tests were conducted on the dosage of different base materials and the main drug with the forming percentage and the rate of qualified weight as the index of evaluation, the orthogonal test was conducted on the4factors,including the temperature of drops and the liquor condensate, the drug height in the drug storage tank and the dropping distance.RESULTS:The ratio of base materials and the main drug was2.5∶1.The optimum forming technics could be seen as follows, the height of the drug storage tank was3cm,the temperature of drops was90℃,the dropping distance was5cm and the temperature of the liquor condensate was12.5℃.CONCLUSION:There was a high rate of end product of dropping pill prepared with this optimum process, which was in conformity with the standard stated in the Chinese Pharmacopoeia.

OBJECTIVETo explore the correlation between electronic bronchus mirror and Chinese medical syndrome typing of Mycoplasma pneumonia children.
METHODSTotally 198 Mycoplasma pneumonia children inpatients were assigned to three syndrome types according to Chinese medical syndrome typing and self-formulated typing standards of electronic bronchus mirror, i.e., Fei-qi accumulation of damp and heat syndrome, Fei-qi accumulation of toxicity and heat syndrome, deficient vital qi leading to lingering of pathogen syndrome. The correlation between electronic bronchus mirror and Chinese medical syndrome typing was explored.
RESULTSAs for comparison between electronic bronchus mirror and Chinese medical syndrome typing, Kappa value (K^) was 0.645 and Spearman coefficient correlation (r) was 0.653 (P < 0.01) for Fei-qi accumulation of damp and heat syndrome; K^ was 0.724 and r(s) was 0.727 (P < 0.01) for Fei-qi accumulation of toxicity and heat syndrome; K^ was 0.506 and r(s) was 0.515 (P < 0.01) for deficient vital qi leading to lingering of pathogen syndrome.
CONCLUSIONChinese medical syndrome typing of Mycoplasma pneumonia children was moderately in line with inspection typing under electronic bronchoscope with significant correlation.

Objective To evaluate the blood-saving effect of tranexamic acid in pediatric patients undergoing radical correction of tetralogy of Fallot with cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB).Methods A total of 56 children of both sexes, aged 11 months-14 yr,with body mass index of 9.8-21.4 kg/m2,of ASA physical status Ⅱ or Ⅲ,with left ventricular ejection fraction >50%,scheduled for elective radical correction of tetralogy of Fallot with CPB,were randomly divided into 2 groups using a random number table:tranexamic acid group (TA group,n =30) and normal saline group (NS group,n =26).Anesthesia was induced with iv midazolam, sufentanil, vecuronium and propofol. The children were endotracheally intubated and mechanically ventilated.Anesthesia was maintained with inhalation of 1%-2% sevoflurane and infusion of propofol, sufentanil and vecuronium. After induction of anesthesia,a loading dose of tranexamic acid l0 mg/kg was intravenously infused over 20 min before skin incision, followed by infusion at a rate of 10 mg · kg-1 · h 1 until the end of surgery in TA group, while the equal volume of normal saline was given instead in NS group. The volume of chest tube drainage at 24 h after surgery and volume of allogeneic red blood cells, fresh frozen plasma, platelet and cryoprecipitate transfused were recorded. The requirement for re-thoracotomy for bleeding, and the incidence of hepatic artery and portal vein thrombosis were also recorded. Results Compared to NS group, the volume of chest tube drainage at 24 h after surgery and volume of allogeneic red blood cells, fresh frozen plasma, platelet and cryoprecipitate transfused were significantly reduced in TA group. No re-thoracotomy was required in TA group, and the rate of re-thoracotomy was 15% in NS group. No hepatic artery and portal vein thrombosis were detected in group TA.Conclusion Tranexamic acid (loading dose 10 mg/kg,maintenance dose 10 mg· kg-1 · h-1) can provide blood-saving effect and has high security in pediatric patients undergoing radical correction of tetralogy of Fallot with CPB.

Aim To investigate the effects of meloxi-cam on the proliferation, migration and expression of PTEN of human colorectal cancer LoVo cells.Meth-ods The colony formation test was used to detect the effect of meloxicam on the proliferation of LoVo cells. The cell migration assay was applied to analyze the effect of meloxicam on LoVo cells activity. The RT-PCR assay was used to detect the effect of meloxicam on the mRNA expression of PCNA and PTEN gene. The western blot assay was applied to analyze the effects of meloxicam on the expression of PTEN pro-tein.The recombinant adenovirus and Annexin-V assay were used to testify the relationship between PTEN gene and anti-cancer effect of meloxicam. Results Compared with the control group, meloxicam could in-hibit the colony formation and PCNA protein expression of LoVo cells. At 48 h and 80 μmol·L -1 ,the expres-sion of PCNA protein was reduced to 61 .57% ± 2.81 %(T =7.086,P =0.01 9),the mRNA expres-sion of PTEN gene increased to 1 60.43% ±4.71 %(T=24.244,P =0.002),and the expression of PTEN protein increased to 1 52.63% ±3.33%(T =27.359, P =0.001 ).Results Annexin-V test indicated that the anti-cancer effect of meloxicam was associated with the up-regulated expression of PTEN.Conclusions Meloxicam can inhibit the proliferation and migration of LoVo cells by up-regulating the expression of PTEN.
