Objective To introduce a patent: The assembled equipment of external counterpulsation with an oxygen mask in the treatment of ischemic diseases that has been opened by the national property right bureau of knowledge.Methods Based on the current equipment,oxygen was provided with a mask along with external counterpulsation.Results It could enhance blood stream as well as the blood oxygen rate.Conclusion Assembled equipment of external counterpulsation with oxygen mask can enhance cure speed and rate in the treatment of ischemic diseases.

Gastroesophageal reflux disease( GERD)is a common gastrointestinal disorder during pregnancy. Several factors including decreased lower esophageal sphincter pressure, increased intra-abdominal pressure secondary to the enlarged gravid uterus and alteration in gastrointestinal motility have been linked to the pathogenesis of GERD. Diagnosis and treatment of diseases during pregnancy are unique. Life-style modifications are helpful for the majority of patients. When considering medical therapy,a step-up therapy from antacids,H2 receptor antagonists to proton pump inhibitors should be followed. In patients without a prior history of reflux,symptoms usually are relieved after delivery.

Objective To investigate the diagnostic value of growth hormone(GH) stimulating test in dwarfism of children and related influencing factors .Methods Arginine and L‐dopa were applied to perform GH stimulating test in 642 children with dwarf‐ism .GH levels were detected at 30 ,60 ,90 ,120 ,150 ,180 min after stimulation .All children were divided into GH deficiency (GHD) group ,with peak value of GH less than 10 ng/mL ,and non‐GHD group ,with peak value of GH at least 10 ng/mL .Physical and la‐boratory data of the two groups were compared .Results The proportion of children with GHD and without GHD were 68 .69%and 31 .31% ,respectively ,and with statistical difference(χ2 =6 .19 ,P<0 .05) .The GH peak value ,with a delay ,mainly appeared at 30 and 150 min after stimulation ,accounting for 22 .42% and 34 .27% .Levels of age ,body height standard deviation ,body mass in‐dex ,alanine aminotransferase ,aspartate aminotransferase ,insulin growth factor‐1 and 25‐hydroxyl vitamin D were statistically dif‐ferent between the two groups(P<0 .05) .Conclusion Arginine and L‐dopa combined stimulating test could be used for the diagno‐sis of GHD in children with dwarfism .GH level might be correlated with various physical and laboratory parameters ,which should be considered for the diagnosis of GHD .

ObjectiveTo observe the efficacy and safety of house dust mite vaccine in the treatment of house dust mite-allergic rhinitis.Methods47 patients with allergic rhinitis were recruited into the study.The course of SIT was treated by house dust mite vaccine for 51 weeks.Self-contrast method was used to compare the symptom score,nasal airway resistance before and after treatment.Then we observed the security in the process of injection.ResultsThe symptom score was (7.40 ± 1.64) vs ( 3.40 ± 1.50 ) pre and post therapy.Nasal airway resistance were (2.02 ±0.72) vs ( 1.06 ± 0.81 ) kPa · s -1 · L-1.Both the values of the data had significant differences( t =15.49,4.44,all P ＜ 0.01 ).No serious adverse reaction was observed.ConclusionSIT was able to improve the clinical symptoms and decrease nasal airway resistance.House dust mite vaccine was an effect and safe drug for the dust mite allergic asthma patients.

Objective To investigate the differences of symptoms,physical signs and examinations in childhood and adult patients with Marfan syndrome.Methods Twenty-four children diagnosed as Marfan syndrome were investigated and evaluated synthetically in symptoms,physical signs and examinations.The positive rate of each item was analyzed to find the differences between childhood and adult patients.Results Among 24 patients,thorax and spinal deformity were found in 19 children(79%),leptosome type existed in 16 children(67%),dolichostenomelia was found in 15 children(63%).The dilation of the aortic sinus was detected in 16 children ((67%),)and the dilations of left ventricle and mitral regurgitation were found in 3 children(13%) with echocardiogram.Conclusions It is critical ascertain the abnormalities in cardiovascular system and give intervention,and it is expected to prolong the patients′ life by slowing down the changes in aortic walls.

BACKGROUND:Besides drug therapy, regenerative therapy is now a matter of global interest in treating osteoporosis. Therefore, it is also important to find better candidate cels. OBJECTIVE:To cognize the status of drug therapies for osteoporosis and stem cels as regenerative therapy. METHODS:A computer-based search of PubMed was performed by the first author to retrieve articles relevant to stem cel therapy for osteoporosis published from January 2000 to December 2014. The keywords were osteoporosis, drug therapy, bone regenerative medicine, stem cel therapy, which appeared in the title, abstract or keywords, and the relevant references were also looked up. Articles published recently or in authoritative journals were preferred, and finaly 39 articles were included in result analysis. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Yoshikazu Mikami and co-workers from Japan found two novel bone formation accelerators, SST-VEDI and SSH-BMI, which provides a new direction for related studies on drug therapy. Due to the osteogenesis ability, lack of ethical controversy and less damage, de-differentiated fat cels and pulp stem cels may be promising candidate cels for bone regeneration medicine.

Objective The anti tumor and anti metastasis effects of angiocytotoxic therapy (TNP 470/Gemcitabine) were investigated using a model of human pancreatic carcinoma by surgical orthotopic implantation (SOI). Methods The SOI model was developed by suturing small pieces of SW1990 tumors into the tail of pancreas in nude mice. Twenty four male mice were randomly divided into control group, G100 group receiving 100 mg/kg Gemcitabine intraperitoneally injection on days 0,3,6 and 9 after transplantation, and T30 group receiving 30 mg/kg TNP 470 subcutaneous injection on alternate days for 8 weeks. Another thirty two male mice were randomly divided into control group, T15 group, G50 group and combination group (TNP 470 30 mg/kg+ Gemcitabine 50 mg/kg). Animals were sacrificed ten weeks after transplantation. Results G100 group had a significant inhibitory effect on tumor growth of pancreatic carcinoma compared to T30 group, while the metastasis of tumor was significantly inhibited by T30 group compared to G100 group. Neither G100 group nor T30 group showed a significant improvement on survival rate. T15 group and G50 group alone had no significant inhibitory effect on the tumor growth and its metastasis. Mean while a significant anti tumor, anti metastatic effect and a significant improvement on the survival rate were observed in combination group. The inhibitory effect of G50 group was enhanced by 2 times with T30, and 2/8 of the tumors bearing animals were cured by the combination therapy. Although anterior cervical fusion has been a conventional surgical treatment for cervical spondylosis, concerns for the possible accelerated degeneration of adjacent segments after fusion have been growing. Fusion can also lead to other drawbacks, such as alteration of spinal biomechanics, graft and hardware complications, and chronic pain at the harvest site. In addition, it must be realized that decompression, not fusion, is the primary goal of anterior cervical surgery. Since the artificial cervical disc replacement can preserve enough motion after neural decompression with adequate stability, it provides a new surgical therapy for cervical spondylosis. This paper summarizes the progress in the related research field and makes comments on the current developments and future prospects of cervical arthroplasty.
