Objective To explore the relationships of quality of life ( QOL ) and functional status in patients with malignant bone tumors after operation. Methods European organization for research and treatment of cancer quality of life questionnaire C30 (EORTC-QLQ-C30), social support revalued scale (SSRS) and Karnofsky performance scale (KPS) were used to investigate the levels of QOL, social support and functional status. The correlations between them were explored. Results The overall score by QOL was (58.33 ± 18.94). The score by KPS was positively related to somatic function, role function, social function, and general health status (P<0.01), but negatively related to tiredness, pains, insomnia and financial burden (P<0.01). Conclusions The QOL in patients with malignant bone tumors after operation is at a lower level and the function is at a medium level. Nurses should assess the function and make out interventional measures for them so as to improve their QOL.

Breast calcification is a specific sign of nonpalpable early breast cancer,the accurate localization and biopsy can obviously improve the diagnosis rate of early breast cancer,and imaging-guided needle localization is the premise of accurate biopsy of breast calcification.As the recommended guidance,mammography-guided localization and biopsy has certain limitations in localizing and biopsying breast calcification,however,high-resolution uhrasound makes it possible to localize the nonpalpable calcification in breast,and which has a certain advantage.

Objective To compare the efficacy and safety of 2 mg/d and 4 mg/d of terazosin in the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) with lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS).Methods A total of 120 BPH patients were randomly divided into 2 groups receiving 2 mg or 4 mg terazosin per day for 2 months. Arterial blood pressure, International Prostatic Symptom Score (IPSS) and peak flow rate (Qmax) before and after treatment were compared while side effects were estimated. Results Forty-six patients receiving 2 mg and 54 patients receiving 4 mg terazosin completed this study. Patients' age and pre-treatment blood pressure, IPSS and Qmax had no difference between the 2 groups. The improvement of IPSS (including obstructive score, irritating score and total IPSS) and Qmax was significantly better in 4 mg group. The percentage of patients experiencing greater than 30% improvement in Qmax in the 4 mg treatment groups was significantly higher than that of the 2 mg group (46.3% vs 23.9%, P=0.02). Side effects were rare and mild in both groups.Conclusion The improvements of IPSS and Qmax are significantly greater in 4 mg treatment of terazosin than that of 2 mg with no obvious increase of side effects.

Objective To investigate the relationship between diffusion time and diffusion tensor-derived parameters. Method Diffusion tensor data sets were obtained from 11 healthy volunteers using 8 different levels of diffusion time while keeping the diffusion sensitive gradient magnetic field strength fixed. Diffusion tensor-derived parameters with variant diffusion time for six regions of interest were calculated and compared. Result There was statistically significant difference in mean diffusivity (MD) of variant diffusion time (P0.05). Conclusion There is no diffusion time dependent in FA, but MD are diffusion time dependent. The reason may be attributed to the difference of the diffusion properties between the intra- and extra-cellular water molecules.

Fine needle aspiration cytopathology of the breast is an effective means of distinguishing malignant from benign,and the aspirated sample collections techniques is the primary and key part of fine needle aspiration.Fine needle aspiration cell block has been improved and used on preoperative breast cancer molecular portraits.This paper will provide an introduction to application of specimens collection techniques,application and development of fine needle aspiration cell block on preoperative breast cancer molecular portraits.

Objective To study the effect of high soluble oxygen fluid (HSOF) therapy on the expression of serum matrix metallop roteinases-9 (MMP-9) in patients with intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH). Methods 66 patients with ICH were randomized into routine therapy group and HSOF+ routine therapy group The levels of serum MMP-9 were detected by ELISA for at 1 d,3 d, 7d and 2 weeks after therapy. Objective To evaluate the methods of postoperative respiratory management and complications prevention of patients with myasthenia gravis who received thymectomy. Methods According to the accumulated scores of myasthenic crisis prediction, the patients with myasthenia gravis who underwent thymectomy in the past 5 years were divided into 2 groups: high risk group(12, n=11). The time of mechanical ventilation, restoration of muscle strength and spontaneously breathing during extubation, results of arterial blood gas analysis, body temperature, chest X-ray examination and sputum culture of each patient were analyzed. Objective To evaluate the training quality of anaesthesiology residents in different hospitals. Methods The scores of 125 residents,attending Shanghai resident clinic skill examination from 2005 to 2007,were analyzed. ResultsThe scores of examinees from municipal hospitals were higher than those from district hospitals,municipal specialized hospitals and traditional Chinese medicine hospitals.The scores of practice part were higher than those of theory part in all groups. Conclusion The training quality is related to the comprehensive strength of the hospital in which examinees work,but the training of theory knowledge still need to be strengthened.

Objective To investigate the role of serum in children with Kawasaki disease(KD)in acute stage and ?-globulin role in monocyte cell-produced leukotriene B4(LTB4).Meanwhile,to investigate the effects of the monocyte cell conditioned media(MCM)on the expression of leukotriene B4 receptor 2(BLT2)in endothelial.In order to understand whether LTB4-BLT2 pathway gets involved in vascular damage in KD and the mechanism of ?-globulin in the lessening vascular damage of KD.Methods The concentration of LTB4 in cell culture after the stimulation by serum of healthy children,serum of acute KD and serum of acute KD with ?-globulin were observed,respectively.The expression of BLT2 in the endothelial was determined by flow cytometry.Results 1.The serum of children with KD increased the concentration of LTB4 in MCM(P
