objective To investigate the clinicopathological features of mini-cancer of the stomach. Method In this study,out of 296 early gastric cancer cases there were 34 cases of early gastric cancer in which tumor diameter was≤10 mm,among those there were 5 cases with tumor size≤2 mm and 29 cases of the size 2～10 mm. Result Mini-cancer accunted for 2% of all early gastric cancers in this series:All these mini-cancers were of intramucosal cancer(100%),while that took up to 45%in control group in which tumors were between≥2 mm and≤10 mm:Tumors were high or moderately differentiated pathologically in 100%of mini-cancers and 55%in control group.None of mini-cancer patients had lymph node metastasis,however,1 of 29 patients in control group had lymph node metastasis.Both groups had no blood vessel and lymphatic vessel invasion:The differentiation concordance rate between superficial lesions and invasive fronts in mini-cancer was 100%,higher than 86%in control group. Conclusion Gastric mini-cancer is usually of high differentiation,low tumor invasion and low rate of lympy node metastasis than control group.Endoscopic therapy is applicable for most gastric mini-cancers.

Objective To study the development of impulsive personality in junior middle school students of Changsha, and to explore its relationship with parental rearing patterns. Methods 409 students were investigated by Egna Minnenav Barndoms Uppfostran ( EMBU ) and Barratt Impulsivity Scale ( BIS-11 ). Results Male and female had significant difference in attention impulsiveness scores((20.56 ±3.60) vs ( 19.63 ±3.07) , P< 0.01). Grade 7 and Grade 9 had significant difference in attention and motor impulsiveness scores((20. 58 ± 3.47)vs (19.63 ±3.46) , P<0.05;(20. 31 ±4.37)vs (21.75 ±4.00) , P< 0.01). Parental warmth and understanding was negatively correlated with attention , non-planning and total scores of impulsiveness ( r= - 0. 23 ～ -0.33, P<0.01). Parental refusal and rejection was positively correlated with total and factors of BIS-11 ( r = 0. 23 ～0. 33 , P<0. 01 ) . Parental punishment and rigor was positively correlated with motor and total scores of im-pulsiveness( r = 0.22 -0.26, P<0.01). Parental over-interference and overprotection was positively correlated with motor impulsiveness ( r = 0. 23 ～0. 34, P<0. 01). Mother's punishment and rigor was positively correlated with attention impulsiveness( r = 0.22, P<0. 01 ). Father' s overprotection and Mother' s over-interference and overprotection was positively correlated with total scores of impulsiveness ( r = 0. 23 ;0. 25 , P < 0. 01) . Stepwise regression analysis revealed that factors and total of BIS-11 explained by patterns rearing were 12% ,14% ,15% and 19% . Conclusion Rearing patterns can severely impact the development of impulsive personality. Impulsive personality is positively predicted by parental rearing patterns.

Traditional Chinese ancient prescriptions have been used for treatment of liver cancer for a long history and the scientific and rational compatibility is a great wealth for modern research and development (R&D) of new drugs. The research and development of new drugs are often accompanied with a large investment, a long cycle and a high risk, especially for the anti-tumor drugs R&D which are facing more risks and lower successful rate. In this research, the regularity of compatibility of drugs was analyzed from 124 anti-hepatoma ancient prescriptions by computer program. The results can offer help to the R&D of anti-hepatoma new drugs and reduce the risk of drug screening. In addition, we surveyed 22 companies in this field from six provinces such as Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin and so on and obtained 240 risk assessment questionaires. Then we used qualitative analysis method to interpret the greatest impacts for the risks in the process of R&D, production and sales of anti-hepatoma new drugs. The study provides a basis for anti-liver cancer drugs R&D researchers, who can take effective measures to reduce the R&D risks and improve successful rate.

Risk monitoring of new Chinese patent anti-hepatoma drugs is tracking recognized risks and residual risks, identifying emerging risk and ensure the implementation of the plan, estimating the process of reducing effectiveness. The paper is mainly through understanding the status of Chinese patent anti-hepatoma drugs, the content, characteristic and analysis method of dynamic risk monitoring, and then select the risk control indicators, collect risk information. Finally, puts forward the thought of anti-hepatoma drugs listed evaluation in our country, and try to establish the model of dynamic risk management of anti-hepatoma drugs.

Objective:The present study was designed to test the hypothesis that inflammation is involved in the end-organ damage(EOD) induced by sinoaortic denervation(SAD) in rats.Method:SAD was performed in male Sprague-Dawley rats at the age of 10 weeks.Under anaesthesia,aortic nerves were cut and the sinus region of the carotid artery was stripped and painted with 10% phenol.Pathological evaluation of EOD and the determination of plasma or tissue levels of the factors related to inflammation,including thromboxane B2(TXB2) interleukin-1(IL-1),tumour necrosis factor α(TNF-α) and reactive oxygen species(ROS) were performed at 16 weeks after SAD.Pathological evaluation of EOD included heart weigh ratio,myocardial and blood vessel hydroxyproline and collagen volume fraction,glomerular injury score and number of infiltrating inflammatory cells.Indomethacin(20 mg/kg per day,orally) or vitamin E(100 mg/kg per day,orally) was administered for 12 weeks,beginning from4 weeks after SAD,to observe their effects on SAD-induced EOD.Results:There were significant fibrosis and inflammatory infiltration in the myocardium and blood vessels,represented by higher hydroxyproline and collagen volume fraction,and a large amount of inflammatory cells in the tissues of SAD rats.Heart weight and kidney glomerular injury score were significantly higher in ed significantly after SAD.Indomethacin and vitamin E significantly decreased the contents of some factors related to inflammation in SAD rats.Both drugs also alleviated myocardial and vessel fibrosis,inflammatory infiltration and kidney damage.Conclusion:Inflammation is involved in the organ damage induced by SAD in rats.

Objective To study the influence of pre-injection of donor apoptotic cells in the survival of islet grafts and the function of T lymphocytes in the peripheral blood. Methods The donor apoptotic cells and necrotic cells were ob-tained respectively by X-irradiation from electron linear accelerator and a heat-shock procedure (water bath box 56℃, 1 h). The diabetic rats for islet transplantation (n=42) were induced by a single intraperitoneal injection of streptozotocin (STZ), then were randomly divided into four groups:rats were injected by physiological saline group (n=9), normal cells group (n=12), apoptotic donor cell group (n=12) and necrotic donor cell group (n=9). On the seventh day, each group received islet transplantation under the renal capsule. The blood glucose level was detected to reflect the survival of the islets. The periph-eral blood samples of three rats in each group were obtained at different observation times. The proliferative activity of T lym-phocytes was determined by MTT method. The levels of cytokines interferon (IFN)-γ, interleukin (IL)-10 in peripheral blood were measured by Luminex 100 Integrated System, and transforming growth factor (TGF)-β1 by ELISA respectively at 0 d, 1 week, 2 weeks and after rejection. Results The survival time of islets was significantly prolonged by the pre-intervention of apoptotic cells, and the proliferative activity of T lymphocytes stimulated by ConA was inhibited. Meanwhile, the extent of the increased level of IFN-γwas inhibited significantly at 1 week and 2 weeks after transplantation (P<0.05), the levels of IL-10 and TGF-β1 were significantly increased before transplantation, 1 week and 2 weeks after transplantation (P<0.05). Conclusion Our results demonstrated that the pre-treatment of donor apoptotic cells can regulate the recipient’s immune reactive state by inhibiting the proliferative activity of T lymphocytes and changing the levels of cytokines from different sub-sets of T lymphocytes, and finally resulted in the prolonging of the survival of islet grafts.

Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) is a human herpesvirus associated with important human diseases, including infectious mononucleosis syndrome, malignant lymphoma, and nasopharyngeal carcinoma. The mechanism of EBV entry into host cells remains a subject of intensive research. After decades of study, researchers have identified several key proteins and different patterns of EBV intrusion into host cells. The viral surface glycoproteins, gp350/220, gp42, gB, gH, and gL, are involved in interactions with the CR2 receptor on the surface of B lymphocytes during viral entry. However, the majority of epithelial cells lack CR2 receptor expression, which makes viral invasion much more complex than in B lymphocytes. Three different models have been proposed to explain how EBV enters epithelial cells: (1) "transfer of infection", mediated by B lymphocytes or Langerhans cells; (2) EBV utilizes its own proteins during the process of fusion with the cell membrane; and (3) progeny virions arising from EBV-infected epithelial cells cross lateral membranes into adjacent epithelial cells. This review will discuss the relevant mechanism of viral entry into B lymphocytes and epithelial cells during EBV infection.

OBJECTIVETo explore clinical efficacy of Yiguanjian Decoction (YD) combined Adefovir Dipivoxil Tablet (ADT) in treating HBeAg negative chronic viral hepatitis B (CVHB) active compensated liver cirrhosis (LC) patients.

METHODSTotally 68 HBeAg negative CVHB active compensated LC patients initially treated were assigned to the treatment group and the control group using random digit table, 34 in each group. Patients in the control group took ADT alone, 10 mg each time, once per day. Those in the treatment group additionally took YD, one dose per day. The therapeutic course for all was 48 weeks. Levels of alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), total bilirubin (TBil) were detected once in every two weeks. Hepatitis B virus (HBV)-DNA and four items of serum liver fibrosis [procollagen type I (PCN), hyaluronidase (HA), procollagen III peptide (PCIII), laminin (LN)] were detected once per every 4 weeks. Abdominal ultrasound B was performed before and after treatment. The inner diameter of the portal vein and the size of spleen were recorded. The fibrosis degree of liver was evaluated using Fibroscan. Efficacy of Chinese medicine (CM) was evaluated between the two groups before and after treatment using CM syndrome integrals. Efficacy of Western medicine (WM) was also evaluated between the two groups using Child-Pugh grading. Results Compared with before treatment in the same group, ALT and AST levels restored to normal levels, HBV-DNA turned negative (HBV-DNA < or = 1 x 10(2)) in the two groups after 48-week treatment. Besides, levels of TBil, ALB, PCIV, HA, PCIII, and LN obviously decreased (P < 0.05, P < 0.01). Results of ultrasound B showed the inner diameter of the portal vein and the size of spleen decreased. Fibroscan results showed that the elasticity value of the liver obviously decreased (P < 0.05). Besides, post-treatment levels of PCIV, HA, PCEJ, and LN, and the elasticity value of the liver decreased more obviously in the treatment group than in the control group (P < 0.01). There was no statistical difference in post-treatment levels of ALT, AST, TBil, ALB, inner diameter of the portal vein, or the size of spleen between the two groups (P > 0.05). Compared with before treatment in the same group, scores of Chinese medical syndrome and Child-Pugh scores decreased in the two groups after treatment (P < 0.05, P < 0.01). Besides, scores of Chinese medical syndrome decreased more obviously in the treatment group than in the control group (P < 0.05). The effective rate was 8824% (30/34) in the treatment group, higher than that of the control group [67.65% (23/34)] with statistical difference (P <0.05). Conclusion Combined treatment of YD and ADT could significantly improve symptoms of CM and fibrosis degree of liver of HBeAg negative CVHB active compensated LC patients.
