Objective To establish the preferable puberty pathological aggression animal model.Methods The experimental models were established towards puberty rats by frustration test of non-reward and instigation test.Rat models were tested for specificity using open-field test,saccharine test,elevated plus-maze(EPM)and olfactory sensibility.Results ①Compared with normal aggression(52.5±5.36)and control group(8.83±1.34)in total aggressive times,the pathological aggression group(101.17±2.85)increased significantly(P<0.01);②Some behavior items of each model group were moderately or hishly correlated to total score(r=0.379～0.929);③There was a significant difference between pathological aggression group and normal aggression group in the numbers of attack toward vulnerable-body regions,persistence attack after intruder displayed submissive and hish attack/threat ratios(P<0.01);④The pathological aggression group did not show depression,anxiety and olfactory disorder,except for space cognitive function(P>0.05).However,the normal aggression group displayed obvious depressive mood.Conclusion Each behavioral index matches the criteria of pathological aggression model.Meanwhile,it also excludes other factors of disturbing the specificity of the model.It suggests this model may be preferable puberty pathological aggression animal model.

Objective To separate and purify intrahepatic macrophages from Microtus fortis Mf and identify its phagocy?tosis. Methods The intrahepatic macrophages from Mf were separated and purified by perfusion collagenase digestion and density gradient centrifugation. The function of the cells was identified by FACS analysis and ink phagocytosis activity. Results The macrophage cells from the liver of Mf were obtained. These cells were bright and circular and grew adhering to the wall. The proportion of the living cells was 95%. The binding rate of these cells from Mf with anti?mouse CD14 antibody Clone Sa2?8 was about 50%of the rate of macrophage from C57BL/6 mice with this monoclonal antibody. The result of ink?phagocytosis ex?periment of macrophage cells from the liver of Mf was positive. Conclusion The method above mentioned is useful to separate and purify macrophage from the liver of Mf. The study builds the foundation for further research on macrophages of Mf against Schistosoma japonicum.

Exosomes are nanosized lipid vesicles released from cells .They are believed to contain proteins, lipids and nucleic acid cargos , and are capable of deliver their cargos to recipient cells , which in turn alter the expression of genes in neighboring cells .An increasing body of evidence indicates that they play a pivotal role in cell-to-cell communication , which is hijacked during various physiological and pathological conditions , such as myocardial damage , angiogenesis , cardiac remodeling and atherogenesis plaque formation .Further research of intercellular communication mediated by exosomes may potentially aid in the possible application of exosomes for biomarker discovery , curative effects , as well as prognosis of cardiovascular diseases , even the use of exosomes as a therapeutic drug delivery system on the basis of the exosome′s ability to target specific cells , and transfer genetic materials.

Objective To study the profiles of decompression sickness(DCS) in various kinds of animals and to find out the target organ of decompression sickness by providing a basic experimental method for establishing animal models.Method Eleven kinds of animals were exposed to different pressures for different times at different compression/decompression rates.They were monitored at the precordial regions with Doppler flow meter for bubble sounds after decompression to normal pressure,to obtain a record about the developing course of the DCS.Pathological examinations of the bulbar conjunctiva were also made. Result Bubble sound of grade IV were recorded at the precordial regions after decompression.Among them,75%~100% incurred DCS with a diverse extent. Animals developed DCS showed vascular spasm,dysfunction and endothelial tumefaction.Conclusion Each of the 11 kinds of animals can serve as a model of DCS and the processes of development of DCS in various animals are similar.Blood vessels are the target organs of decompression sickness.

A high-performance liquid chromatography method of pre-column derivatization with 1-phenyl-3-methyl-5 -pyrazolone (PMP) has been established for determination of 6 kinds of monosaccharides simultaneously. A special Agilent HC-C18 column (4. 6 mm x 250 mm, 5 microm), optimized for the separation of PMP derivatives, was used at ambient temperature of 40 degrees C. The PMP derivatives elution was performed with a mixture of 0.1 mol x L(-1) phosphate buffer (pH 6. 8) and acetonitrile in a ratio of 84: 16 at a flow rate of 1 mL x min(-1), and UV absorbance of the effluent was monitored at 245 nm. The results showed that the polysaccharides from exopleura of Ginkgo biloba were acidic heteropolysaccharides mainly containing mannose, rhamnose, D-galacturonic acid, glucose, galactose, arabinose, with the molar ratio of 0.032: 0.14: 0.296: 0.403:0.106: 0.046.

Objective To introduce the experience of management of inverted papilloma in frontal sinus in hospital. Methods Six patients with inverted papilloma in frontal sinus treated between 1999 and 2006 were reported, with special emphasis on the clinical symptoms, surgical technique and prognosis. Results Among 6 patients with frontal sinus involvement, there were 5 males and 1 female, aged between 24 and 66 years. All 6 patients were managed with endoscopic resection and additional open approach (giabellar nasal keyhole approach). Follow-up ranged from 2 - 8 years. Five patients treated with this protocol remained disease free, and 1 patient died of tumor recurrence and malignant degeneration 16 years after the first surgical management of sinonasal inverted papilloma. Conclusions The appropriate management of inverted papilloma involving the frontal sinus is combined open/endoscopic approach. The tumor extended into the lateral, far superior, and anterior aspects of the frontal sinus is truly at the limits of current endoscopic instrumentation. In order to avoid recurrence, the tumor must be reseeted completely during the operation. Postoperative radiotherapy is not absolutely necessary.

Objective To observe the clinical effect and comfortable degree of the mode of super hair removal. Methods The mode of super hair removal was used to depilate the hair nearby the hair line, cheeks, upper lip, beard, ventrum, areola of breast, axillary cavity, extremities, bikini area and so on. The total number of sites was 1 000. Some sites that were especially susceptible to pain, for example, upper lip and buccal region, were smeared with compound lidocaine cream for 1 hour at least before treatment. Results Hairs in the areas of extremities, ventrum, back and axillary cavity generally needed 4 to 5 times to eradicate, and the patients had no evident discomfortableness; hairs near to the upper lip and lower mandible generally needed 5 to 7 times to reach the effect which the patient was content, and anesthetics was indispensable, or the patients would present discomfortableness. Conclusions The mode of super hair removal is more effective, quicker and more comfortable in comparison with conventional methods. Therefore, it deserves to be spread.

Objective: To investigate the characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndromes and their elements in patients with posthepatitic cirrhosis by analyzing the relationships between signs and symptoms and biochemical parameters. Methods: A total of 440 patients with hepatitis B cirrhosis treated in Shanghai Public Health Center and Shuguang Hospital, Longhua Hospital and Central Hospital of Putuo District Affiliated to Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine during January 2002 to January 2006 were enrolled in this study. Signs and symptoms and biochemical information of patients were collected by using a self-designed questionnaire regarding the four examinations of TCM. Signs and symptoms were firstly analyzed to find the frequency of occurrence. Then, the patients were divided into two groups according to non-existent or existent sign and symptom and the correlations between the signs and symptoms which occurred most frequently and their biochemical parameters were analyzed. Results: Sixteen symptoms which occurred most frequently were fatigue, colored urine, liver palms, opaque complexion, string-like pulse, weakness at waist and knees, dry month and bitter taste in the mouth, profuse dreaminess and poor sleepiness, heaviness of limbs, abdominal distention, yellow eyes, fine pulse, impetuosity and susceptibility to rage, splenomegaly, poor appetite, and distension and fullness in the chest and hypochondrium. A previous study on syndrome differentiation of 900 patients with posthepatitic cirrhosis showed 4 syndrome patterns: internal accumulation of dampness-heat, liver-kidney yin deficiency, internal accumulation of blood stasis-heat, and liver depression and spleen deficiency. Further analysis showed that internal accumulation of dampness-heat syndrome was characterized by obvious hepatic inflammation, poor synthesis function and more asctites. Liver-kidney yin deficiency syndrome was characterized by low-level hepatic inflammation, poor synthesis function and more ascites. Internal accumulation of blood stasis-heat syndrome was characterized by low-level hepatic inflammation, poorer synthesis function, ascites and splenomegalia, and liver depression and spleen deficiency syndrome was characterized by slight hepatic inflammation, synthesis function injury, decreased internal portal vein diameter and less ascites. Conclusion: Different syndrome patterns have different pathological features, showing the complexity and polymorphism of syndrome construction.
