This study was aimed to observe the effects of Gui Curcuma extract on proliferation, collagen production, and matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) expression by hepatic stellate cells (HSC-LX2). HSC-LX2 were cultured in DMEM broth (10% FBS), then treated with Gui Curcuma extract (with the concentration of 0, 22.5, 45, 90 μmol·L-1) for 24 h. The proliferation of HSC-LX2 was measured by MTT assay; injury in HSC-LX2 was indicated with LDH re-lease; collagen I production was detected by ELISA; and MMP-l expression was determined by Western blot. The re-sults showed that Gui Curcuma extract (with the concentration of 22.5, 45, 90 μmol·L-1) dose-dependently inhibited proliferation of HSC-LX2 by 16.2%, 43.9%, 59.4% in MTT assay, respectively. The IC50 was 59.1 μmol·L-1. There was no significant impact on LDH release. The Gui Curcuma extract (with the concentration of 45, 90 μmol·L-1) can significantly reduce the expression of collagen I level (P< 0.01), whereas MMP-1 expression was significantly uplift-ed (P< 0.05) by Gui Curcuma extract (with the concentration of 45, 90 μmol·L-1) in Western blot. It was concluded that Gui Curcuma extract had the potential to prevent hepatic fibrosis, through inhibiting proliferation and collagen I production, and increasing MMP-1 protein expression.

Objective To investigate the in vitro effect of sirolimus on the apoptosis of a cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma cell line, Colo-16 cells. Methods Cultured Colo-16 cells were treated with different concentrations (50, 100, 150, 200 nmol/L) of sirolimus for various durations ( 12, 24, 48, 72 hours). Subse-quently, cell proliferation was detected by MTT assay, and cell apoptosis by Annexin V-FITC and PI double staining. Morphological changes of the cells were observed with Hoechst 33258 fluorescent staining. Total RNA was extracted from Colo-16 cells treated with sirolimus for 48 hours, and subjected to reverse tran-scription (RT)-PCR for the detection of mRNA expression of B cell lymphoma/leukmia-2 (Bcl-2) and Bcl-2-associated X Protein (Bax). Results Sirolimus inhibited the proliferation of Colo-16 cells in a time-and dose-dependent fashion. The early apoptosis rate was 7.26%±0.26%, 8.34% ±0.19%, 9.86%±0.14%, 11.92% ±0.15% in Colo-16 cells treated with sirolimus of 50, 100, 150, and 200 nmol/L, respectively, signifi-candy higher than that in untreated cells (1.53%±0.09%, P < 0.05); a positive correlation was observed between the apoptosis rate and concentrations of sirolimus (r = 0.955, P = 0.000). Typical morphological changes of apoptosis, such as chromatin condensation and margination as well as nuclear fragmentation were observed by fluorescence staining. After treatment with sirolimus for 48 hours, a significant decrease was observed in the mRNA expression of Bcl-2, while an increase in that of Bax was noticed. Conclusion Sirolimus could induce Colo-16 cells apoptosis in vitro, which may be associated with the modulation of expression of apoptosis-regnlating genes, such as Bcl-2 and Bax.

Lots of studies implicate that pathological high-frequency oscillation (HFO) was associated with epilepsy. In recent years, new recording technologies have advanced such that, at high temporal and spatial resolutions, high-frequency oscillation can be recorded in partial epilepsy by intracranial electrodes. More and more researchers focus on the study of high frequency oscillation. The techniques, which were used to record, automatic mine, analysis and quantify high-frequency oscillation, are develop quickly. As a new biomarker of epilepsy, high-frequency oscillation can reflect the epileptic form activity. The HFO has a great value in localization of human epileptic brain and epilepsy surgery.

To discuss the etiology, pathogenesis, therapies and prescriptions of psycho-cardiological abnormality of patients with coronary heart disease. According to the advance in modern diagnosis and treatment, the authors believed that psycho-cardiological abnormality of patients with coronary heart disease is closely related with mental stresses, like anxiety, depression and insomnia. It is mostly caused by emotional injury and expressed in heart, liver, spleen and kidney. The pathogenesis is heart-liver hyperactivity, yin deficiency in heart and kidney, and insufficiency in heart and spleen. The full recognition of etiology and pathogenesis of psycho-cardiological abnormality of patients with coronary heart disease and the combined treatment of disease and syndromes are of great significance to reduce mental stress and other risk factors, prevent and treat coronary heart disease and improve prognosis.

Chinese Journal of Practical Nursing 2016;32(11):863-867
Objective To investigate the current situation of nursing research based on Omaha system in China. Methods All the nursing research based on Omaha System were retrieved and collected by using China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang database and VIP database, NoteExpress software for the management of documents was used. Based on the classification of nursing research literature, a content analysis of system analysis model analyzed the documents had been retrieved. Results Sixty-four pieces of literature were included, and thirteen categories system were formed. The transverse reliability coefficient of all kinds of system were 0.940-1.000, the longitudinal reliability coefficient were 0.658-1.000. Conclusions The study of nursing research based on Omaha system in China is booming, which is also facing challenges, and has a broad space for exploration.

Objective To dump and recover the expired data in No.1 Military Medical Project, avoiding the waste of large amount of storage space and improving the operation performance of hospital information system. Methods After clearing the backup table, the data from the original table backup was put into the backup table. The data was unloaded from the backup table to a file, and then the file was saved. The data in the original table was deleted, but it could be restored to the table when needed, and the corresponding data could be obtained through the application program. Results The storage space was enlarged after data dump. Conclusion The dump of the expired data can make data management more scientific and hospital information system run more smoothly.

BACKGROUND: Femoral prosthesis malrotation will lead to various complications, such as femoro-tibial and patellofemoral instability, and maladjustment of patellar movement trajectory, further affecting the recovery of the knee function.OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the influence of the rotation angle of the femoral prosthesis on the knee joint function after total knee arthroplasty (TKA).METHODS: Totally 146 patients (186 knees) undergoing TKA in the Department of Joint Surgery, Zhenjiang First People's Hospital from January 2010 to January 2014 were selected. Afterwards, the femoral condyle torsion angle was measured on CT to evaluate the rotational position of the femoral prosthesis. According to the condyle torsion angle, all the patients were divided into three groups: normal group (n=74, extorsion angle 3°-intorsion angle 3°), intorsion group (n=15, intorsion angle > 3°) and group (n=58, extorsion angle > 3°). All the patients were followed up for 3 years.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: (1) The order of the activity function score was as follows: the normal group > extorsion group > intorsion group (P < 0.05). The standard activity, free activity and senior activity scores were highest in the normal group, followed by the extorsion group, and lowest in the intorsion group (P < 0.05). However, the standing and walking scores, as well as the satisfaction and expected scores did not differ significantly among groups. (2) That is to say, the rotational position of the femoral prosthesis influences the long-term knee joint function after TKA, so we should pay attention to the femoral prosthesis malrotation.
