Objective To observe and evaluate the efficacy of the preventing antibiotic-associated diarrhea in infant with bacterial pneumonia using the live Clostridium butyricum and Bifidobacterium combined Powders. Methods 103 infants with bacterial pneumonia were randomly divided into the two groups,53 infants as the trial group,another 50 infants as the control group with normal antibacterial therapy,two or three hours afterword the live Clostridium butyricum and Bifidobacterium combined Powders was administered at dose of 0.5g ti-daily in the trial group,After diarrhea taken place,the live Clostridium butyricum and Bifidobacterium combined Powders was adminis-tered at dose of 0.5g ti-daily in the control group,to contrast the rate of secondary diarrhea and clinical efficacy in the two groups.Results The incidence of antibiotic-associated diarrhea was 13.2%( 7/53 ) in the trial group and 56.0%(28/50) in the control group (χ2 =21.00,P<0.01).There were significant differences between the two groups.Duration of diarrhea and period of treatment in the trial group was obviously shorter than that of the control group,the rate of dehydration in the trial group was lighter than that in the control group(χ2 =6.64,P<0.01). Conclusion The live Clostridium butyricum and Bifidobacterium combined powders with antibacterial therapy at reg-ular intervals can prevent antibiotic-associated diarrhea.It is worthy of preventive application.

BACKGROUND:To establish the real body’s artery model has its own limitations due to the diversity of different individual differences in the carotid artery and blood flow.
OBJECTIVE:To study the effect of different inlet velocity profiles of the common carotid artery and three different flow ratios of internal and external carotid artery on hemodynamics of the carotid artery.
METHODS:The carotid bifurcation TF-AHCB numerical model was established. Commercial software ANSYS was used to compute the flow field and calculate hematodynamic parameters, including velocity and wal shear stress. Then, their relationship with atherosclerosis was analyzed from different angles.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Flow ratio of internal and external carotid artery significantly influences the flow field of the simulated bifurcation of the carotid artery. Changes in the magnitude of inlet velocity cannot only alter the hematodynamic properties, but also change the range of mechanical mechanism.

Objective To observe the changes of serum CRP and plasma Fg in patients with chronic renal failure(CRF),to explore the effect of statins on inflammaory reaction in CRF patients.Methods 54 patients with CRF were randomly divided into non-statins group(routine therapy);atstina group(routine therapy plus simvastatin 20mg/d or pravastatin 20mg/d).Besides,a healthy control group consisted of 20 subjects was set up as control group.The changes of serum of CRP and plasma Fg of all groups before and four weeks after treatment were recorded.Results The serum CRP and plasma Fg levels increased in CRF patients,Which were significantly higher as compared to the control group.After treatment for four weeks,the level of CRP,Fg of matins group decreased significantly.The levels of CRP,Fg had no statistical changes in non-statins group.As compared to non-statins group,the differences of CRP,Fg levels after treatment in statins group were statistically significant respectively.Conclusions(1)Inilammaory reaction is a common condition in non-dialysis patients with CRF;(2)ststins show effects on decrease of CRP,Fg level in CRF patients,independently on the effect of decreasing hypedipemia.

Objective:To discuss the X-ray digital tomosynthesis (Digital Tomosynthesis, DTS) application value in the occult fractures of the scaphoid. Methods: we selected 19 patients in our hospital in 2012 examined by DTS, who were negative or highly suspicious of occult fracture with X-ray examination, and spiral CT (SCT) three-dimensional (3D) reconstructions were applied in seven patients. Results:There were 17 patients with fracture by DTS.7 patients showed fracture by spiral CT(SCT) three-dimensional(3D) reconstructions. Conclusion:Compared with X-ray examination, the image quality of Digital Tomosynthesis (DTS) is higher, which can show occult fracture better. Compared with CT, DTS can show spatial location of bony anatomy more clearly and can obtain more detailed information. With the important extension and supplement of CT and MRI, the distal tomosynthesisis is worth to be generalized for lower radiation, lower price, higher positive rate and high quality of the pictures.

Objective To report on an autosomal recessive pyramidal tract, corpus callosum and peripheral nerve degeneration in a family and to study its relationship with other complicated hereditary spastic paraparesis. Methods Neurological examination revealed the following findings. Proband was a 20 year old man who spoke slowly and developed mental retardation in his childhood. Gait disturbance with pyramidal signs and mild cerebellar ataxia were found when the patient was 16. Slight sensory disturbance was present in the lower extremities. His 23 year old sister had similar symptoms at beginning of disease when she was 17. Their clinical courses were bad progressively. Electromyogram showed nerve conduction velocity decrease in the nerve medianus and neurogenic process in the muscle tibialis anterior. Cranial MRI, muscle and nerve suralis biopsies were examined in proband patients. Results MRI showed thin corpus callosum with cerebral and cerebellar atrophy as well as enlargement of ventricle system. Myopathological findings were characterized by angular atrophy fibers in small groups with appearance of hypertrophy fibers. The nerve suralis biopsy showed degeneration and regeneration of myelinated axons. Conclusion Our study confirms that this family is hereditary spastic paraparesis with mental retardation, thin corpus callosum and polyneuropathy reported mostly in Japan. Axonal polyneuropathy is a common pathological feature of this disease.

Objective To evaluate the effect of sevoflurane preconditioning on intestinal injury in the patients undergoing resection for liver cancer.Methods Forty patients of both sexes,aged 20-60 yr,weighing 5075 kg,of ASA physical status Ⅱ or Ⅲ (liver function Child-Pugh grade A),undergoing resection for right liver cancer,were randomly divided into 2 groups (n =20 each):sevoflurane preconditioning group (S group) and control group (C group).Anesthesia was induced with target-controlled infusion of propofol and remifentanil.Tracheal intubation was facilitated with cisatracurium.Anesthesia was maintained with target-controlled infusion of propofol and remifentanil.S group inhaled sevoflurane with the end-tidal concentration of 2.0％ for 30 min starting from the end of intubation,followed by washout.Before induction (T0),immediately after hepatic portal was clamped (T1),at 1,3 and 6 h after occlusion of hepatic portal was released (T2-4) and at 24 h after operation (T5),arterial blood samples were obtained for determination of serum tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α),intestinal fatty acids binding protein (Ⅰ-FABP) and D-lactate levels.Results The concentrations of serum TNF-α and D-lactate started to rise at T2,peaked at T4,and started to decline at T5,and the serum Ⅰ-FABP concentrations started to rise at T2,peaked at T3,and started to decline at T4 in the two groups.The concentrations of serum TNF-α,Ⅰ-FABP and D-lactate were significantly lower in S group than in C group.Conclusion Sevoflurane preconditioning can inhibit inflammatory responses and reduce intestinal injury in the patients undergoing resection for liver cancer.

Objective To establish the reference interva1 for venous blood leukocyte count and classification among children from 1 month to 9 years old in the laboratory .Methods 2 213 health children aged from 1 month to 9 years old were retrospectively analyzed from October 2012 to March 2015 .White blood cells counts were analyzed statistically in 4 groups according to age ,classi‐fication was in 7 groups .The results were obtained by Sysmex series fully automatic blood analyzer .Results White blood cells de‐crease showed a trend of increase with age and fell to adult basic level after 7 years old .The changes of lymphocytes and neutrophils proportion along with ag were most obvious and had a certain regularity .Except for 3- <7 years‐old group ,there was no influence of gender factor in leukocyte count and classification .Conclusion The regional children′s white blood cells count and classification of the lab reference range were obtained which could improve the diagnosis .

BACKGROUND: Defected Laryngeal cartilage has many alternatives, including autologous cartilage, al ograft cartilage and metal stents. Although these materials can achieve desired outcomes in laryngeal cartilage defect repair, certain limitations exist. OBJECTIVE: To investigate the biocompatibility and properties of artificial ossicular chain reconstruction materials, and to explore the effect of artificial ossicular chain reconstruction materials on laryngeal cartilage defect repair. METHODS: Porous hydroxyapatite otosteon was prepared by high-temperature calcination of hydroxyapatite, fol owed by cultured in bone morphogenetic protein solution extracted from fresh human bone to construct bone morphogenetic protein-hydroxyapatite artificial ossicular chain reconstruction material. And then, the biocompatibility and characteristics of the material were analyzed. Forty adult male New Zealand white rabbits were randomly divided into porous hydroxyapatite group and artificial ossicular chain reconstruction material group (n=20 per group), and underwent repair with porous hydroxyapatite material and bone morphogenetic protein-hydroxyapatite artificial ossicular chain reconstruction material respectively after modeling of laryngeal cartilage defect. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: There was a significant difference in compressive strength of artificial ossicular chain reconstruction materials with different porosities. No symmetry sphere formed in hol ows of the outer surface of the material, with polygonal appearance and with a pore size of 100-200 μm. There were no obvious adverse reactions in both two groups after implantation, but in the artificial ossicular chain reconstruction material group, numerous fibrous connective tissues and obvious bone nodules appeared, and the degradation rate of the material was faster. These results suggest that the bone morphogenetic protein-hydroxyapatite artificial ossicular chain reconstruction material exhibits good biocompatibility and properties, which wil obtain satisfactory outcomes for laryngeal cartilage defect repair. So, the material holds a great value of clinical application.
