1.Doppler hemorrhoid artery ligation combined with lauromacrogal sclerosis injection in treatment of hemorrhoids
International Journal of Surgery 2012;39(4):254-256
ObjectiveTo study the clinical value of minimally invasive treatment of the doppler-guided hemorrhoid artery ligation with lauromacrogal sclerosis injection in treatment of hemorrhoids.MethodsA retrospective analysis was made on treatment of 32 cases with hemorrhoids using doppler-guided hemorrhoid artery ligation combined with lauromacrogal sclerosis injection.ResultsAccording to the branch of the Chinese Medical Association by the Surgery the clinical diagnosis and Treatment Guidelines of Hemorrhoids (draft),the Ⅰ degree hemorrhoid was found in 1 case,Ⅱ degree hemorrhoids in 18 cases,Ⅲ degree hemorrhoids in 13 cases.Recovery was found in 32 cases. The longest follow-up time was 30 weeks. No relapse was found. ConclusionsDoppler-guided hemorrhoid artery ligation combined with lauromacrogal case sclerosis injection is a low aggressive minimally invasive method to treat hemorrhoid and has small trauma, definite effect, less pain, fewer complications, and short course and other advantages, but the longterm outcome needs further observation.

Echinococcosis is a zoonotic parasitic disease caused by infection of Echinococcus granulosus and Echinococcus multilocularis in the human body, which may endanger the health and life of patients.Surgical treatment is presently the main method for the treatment of echinococcosis, with drug therapy as a subsidiary measure. The paper summarizes the advances in the treatment of echinococcosis.

Journal of Practical Stomatology 2009;25(6):850-853
Objective: To explore the pathogenesis of oral lichen planus (OLP) by examining the expressions of hypoxia-inducible factor-la and RTP801 in OLP. Methods: To determine the expression levels of HIF-la and RTP801 in 24 OLP tissues and 12 normal oral mucosa tissues by real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR. Results; The expression of HIF-1α in OLP was higher than that in normal oral mucosa(P <0.05), while the expression of RTP801 in OLP was lower than that in normal oral mucosa( P <0.05). Conclusion; The abnormal expressions of HIF-la and RTP801 may play an important role in the pathogenesis of oral lichen planus. HIF-1α might be a potential molecular target for the treatment of OLP.

Chinese Journal of Digestion 2001;0(08):-
Objective To assess the expression patterns of apoptosis-related genes in human pancreatic cancer cells (Patu-8988)induced by Kanglaite (KLT), a novel anti-cancer botanical product. Methods The apoptosis of Patu-8988 cells was determined by flow cytometry with Annexin V-FITC and propidium iodide staining. A human apoptosis microarray containing 96 cDNA fragments was used to detect gene expressions, and followed by Western blot analysis to confirm changes in expression of selected gene products. Results KLT induced apoptosis of Patu-8988 cells in a time-dependent manner. cDNA microarray analysis identified 5 down-regulated genes and 12 up-regulated genes (more than three fold) in the first 24 h as a consequence of treatment. Western blot performed for P53, Bcl-2, Bax and Caspase-3 were consistent with the microarray results. The enhanced activity of Caspases-3 was evidently verified by the cleavage of the 89?103 form of poly ADP-ribose polymerase. Conclusion KLT could alter the expression profile of apoptosis- related genes in human pancreatic Patu-8988 cancer cells, which provides valuable insight into the tentative signaling pathways mediating the outcome of KLT-induced apoptosis.

Free fatty acids generated from the metabolites of fat have been demonstrated to stimulate the neutrophils to produce reactive oxygen species ( ROS) such as hydrogen peroxide and chlorous peroxide .It has shown that free fatty acid is closely related with myocardial, vascular endothelium, liver, lung and other tissue damage. The mechanism of erythrocyte injury is oxidation of mem-brane polyunsaturated fatty acids and cytosolic hemoglobin by ROS .High levels of free fatty acids can increase the formation of active reaction molecular ROS , thus initiating the oxidative stress reaction .Active molecules can oxalate and damage the DNA , protein, lipid and other molecules of RBC .It has revealed the relationship between free fatty acids and erythrocytes injury , which provided a new di-rection in the research of oxidative anemia .This article reviews the advances in the research of this subject in recent years .

Objective To assess the diagnostic value of apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) in the classification of solid nodules of brain parenchymal tuberculosis and response evaluation of patients. Methods Brain parenchymal lesions of 128 patients, with clinically and (or) pathologically confirmed brain parenchymal tuberculosis were analyzed retrospectively. Results Significant differences were observed in the average ADC values between enhanced areas and edematous areas of homogeneously enhancing and ring-enhancing lesions in all 128 patients before treatment(P<0.05).In 52 patients, the average ADC values of enhanced areas and edema areas in homogeneously enhancing and ring-enhancing lesions were significantly different before and after the treatment(P<0.05).Conclusion The ADC values in different areas of solid nodules of brain parenchymal tuberculosis are different, so can be used as a supplement to magnetic resonance imaging diagnosis and classification. After anti-tuberculosis treatment, the ADC values can be used as an observational indicator in follow-up.

The value of prophylactic cranial irradiation (PCI) for small cell lung cancer (SCLC) remains controversial. From Nov.1987 to Jan. 1993, thirty-one patients with small cell lung cancer received PCI. PCI was given for complete remission SCLC patients after chemotherapy and chest radiotherapy. The total dose of PCI was 40Gy in 26 cases, 30~
