1. Preparation of valved tricuspid stent and in vitro experimental implantation to tricuspid position through catheter
Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 2010;29(2):200-202
Objective: To prepare valved tricuspid stent and to discuss the techniques of transcatheter tricuspid valve replacement in vitro. Methods: We designed a self-expandable stent made of super-elastic Ni-Ti shape memory alloy. The stent was composed of double disks with tubular linkage between them. A valvular ring made of nitinol wire was sutured on the tubular part. Fresh sheep pericardium was decellularized, treated with 0.6% glutaraldehyde solution for 48 h and then sutured on the valvular ring. Through a 16-French sheath positioned in the right ventricle of isolated sheep heart via vena cava, the device was delivered into the tricuspid valve. When the right ventricle disk was deployed, it was applied to the tricuspid annulus by pulling back the external sheath. Then the waist and the right atrial disk were deployed in the annulus and right atrium, respectively, by pulling the sheath. Thus the whole device was deployed in the native tricuspid. Water was injected into the right ventricle to test the competence of the prosthetic heart valves. Results: The prepared valved tricuspid stent could be stably positioned at the native valves. There was no stent migration when it was repeatedly pulled. The two disks sandwiched the native tricuspid valve with one disk lying in the right ventricle and the other one in the right atrium. The prosthetic heart valves showed satisfactory function without structure damage. Conclusion: This self-expandable stent is well designed and can be safely implanted in the tricuspid valve position via transcatheter approach; and the function of the stent is satisfactory.

Aim To investigate the effects of propafenone on myocardium inotropism and explore it’s possible mechanism in isolated papillary muscle of guinea pig. Methods Developed tension (DT), maximum rate of contraction (+dT/dt_ max) and maxi-mum rate of relaxation (-dT/dt_ max) were measured during propafenone perfusion before and after administration of L-type calcium channel blocker, nicardipine and selective Na+/Ca 2+ exchanger inhibitor, KB-R7943. Results ①At concentration of 0.1,1,10,30 ?mol?L -1,propafenone attenuated DT from control (0.18?0.05) g to (0.14?0.03), (0.12?0.03), (0.08?0.02), (0.05?0.02) g respectively (P

Objective To explore the effects of formaldehyde (FA) on the contents of CD3, CD4, CD8 and the activity of SOD and the contents of MDA in the spleen and thymus of mice. Methods 30 Kunming mice were randomly divided into 5 groups, 6 in each and treated with FA: the negative control group, 1 mg/m3, 3 mg/m3, 5 mg/m3 and the positive control group (treated with cyclophosphamide, CP). The mice were exposed to FA by static state inhalation in a chamber for 14 days, then the contents of CD3, CD4, CD8, MDA and the activity of SOD in the liver, spleen and thymus were determined. Results The contents of CD3, CD4, CD8 in the spleen and thymus showed a significant decreasing as the exposure dose increasing, an obvious dose-response relation was seen and there were significant differences between FA exposed groups and the control group (P

The major challenge in the development of recombinant biologics lies in generating and isolating rare high-producing stable single clone in a short period of time. The selection marker is an essential component of the plasmid vector, it plays an important part in the generation and screening of producing cell lines. Engineering the selection marker to enhance the stringency of selection for high producing cells is one of the most effective approaches to improve the cell line development process. Here, using Chinese hamaster overy (CHO) cells as an example, we introduce the application of selection marker for generation of recombinant biologics producing mammalian cell lines, methods of engineering the selection markers to enhance the selection stringency, and propose considerations on cell substrate stability and selection marker safety, in order to provide references for high-efficiency development of recombinant biologics.

Primer pair was designed as self-template during the amplification by PCR. It’s an easy way to construct a series of multi-copy genes. This method can be available for the amplification of DNA probes and the development of vaccines. It’s considered as a convenient and simple method for the cloning of multi-copy genes.

Objective:To analyze the long term stability of the hard and soft tissues of the skeletal class III malocclusion after ortho-dontic-surgery by Meta-analysis.Methods:The randomized controlled trials(RCT),quasi-randomized controlled trials and clinical case-control trials(CCT)about the long-term stability of skeletal class III malocclusion after orthodontic-surgery was collected from Co-chrane Library,PubMed,Medline,CNKI,VIP and Wanfang databases from inception to December 31,2013 by literature search. Two professionally trained reviewers evaluated the quality of the screened literatures, scored literatures with the NOS evaluation tool, and collectd data and information of the literatures with medium and higher quality.Revman5.2 was used for the Meta-analysis.Results:4 CCTs articles and 178 cases were included. The results of Meta-analysis showed that:1.The stability of the hard tissue:the differ-ence of SNA(WMD =-0.58,95%CI[-1.18,0.02]),SNB (WMD =0.25,95%CI[-0.42,0.91]),ANB(WMD =-0.70, 95%CI[-1.44,0.04])and MP-SN(WMD =0.39,95%CI[-0.25,1.04])at post-operation and 3 years after operation had no statistical significance.Point A remained relatively stable position and point B had some replace 3 years after surgery compared with that at post-operative.2.The stability analysis of soft tissue:the healing effect of the soft tissue was stable, except the LowerlipeNperp had some recurrence 3 years after surgery. Conclusion:In the long term, after orthodontic and surgical treatment for skeletal class III malocclusion the hard and soft tissues kept stabile except a little replapse of the mandibular and the LowerlipeNperp.

Objective To research the indoor air pollution in offices induced by decoration and its health effects. Methods According to the completed time, the offices were divided into 6 groups (2 month group, 2-4 month group, 5-8 month group, 9-11 month group, 12-18 month group, over 5 year group). The concentration of indoor air pollutants was determined and 617 people from the decorated offices were randomly selected to finish the questionnaires on health. Results The over standard rate of formaldehyde, benzene and ammonia in indoor air was the highest in 2 month group, 100%, 87.3%, 83.9% respectively. The concentration of indoor air pollutants decreased as the time went on, about one year after decoration, the concentrations were lower than the standard limits (GB/T 18883-2002). The adverse response rate of the staff members in offices decorated group (76.4%) was significantly higher than that in the control group (30.9%) (P
