1.Clinical analysis of antiplatelet therapy-induced gastrointestinal injury in the elderly
Chinese Journal of Geriatrics 2011;30(5):358-361
Objective To compare the risk effects of different antiplatelet therapies on gastrointestinal injury and summarize the endoscopic characteristics of gastrointestinal mucosal injury in the elderly. Methods The dyspepsia symptoms, gastrointestinal bleeding and endoscopic findings were retrospectively evaluated among 577 patients who received the antiplatelet therapy with aspirin and/or clopidogrel. Results The risk of dyspepsia symptoms and gastrointestinal bleeding was slightly higher in clopidogrel group than in aspirin group (both P>0.05, x2=0.48, 0.72), and OR (95% CI): 1.10 (0.59-2.07) and 1.74 (0.48-6.33), for the risk of dyspepsia symptoms and gastrointestinal bleeding, respectively. In aspirin plus clopidogrel group, the risk of dyspepsia symptoms had no significant increase as compared with aspirin or clopidogrel group (x2=0.37, 0.03, for aspirin or clopidogrel group, respectively, both P>0.05), but the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding was significantly higher than in aspirin group (x2=5.43, P<0.05), OR (95% CI): 4.77 (1.15-19.79) and slightly higher than in clopidogrel group (P>0.05). In this study, 57 patients received endoscopy and the detection rate of erosion or ulcer was 78.9%. Erosion (61.4%) was most in the gastric antrum; gastric ulcer (10.6%) located in gastric antrum and angle; duodenal ulcer (18.0%) located in bulb. In patients with dyspepsia symptoms erosion (70.5%), were most likely found but patients with gastrointestinal bleeding showed mainly ulcer (69.2%). Conclusions In the elderly the use of clopidogrel alone is not safer than low-dose aspirin and the combination would increase the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding. The detection rate of erosion or ulcer is high in patients with symptoms. Patients with dyspepsia symptoms most likely show erosion, but patients with gastrointestinal bleeding have mainly ulcer and complex ulcers more common.

International Journal of Surgery 2009;36(11):742-744
Objective To study the effects and mechanism of evodiamine on human colon cancer cell. Methods After human colon cancer SW620 cell were treated with different doses of evodiamine, the growth of anchorage independence of cancer cell was studied by colony formation in soft agar, and invasion ability was determined by Boyden chamber, and the level of mRNA and protein of midkine gene was detected by real time RT-PCR and Western blot assay, respectively. Results Ecodiamine could significantly inhibit both invasion ability and anchorage independence growth in dose-dependent manners. The level of mRNA and pro-tein of midkine of cancer cells treated with evodiamine reduced in time-and dose-dependent manners Conclusion Evodiamine could inhibit invasion of colon carcinoma cell through down-regulating of midkine expression.

Chinese Journal of cardiovascular Rehabilitation Medicine 2015;24(3):258-260
Objective:To observe the difference of results of treadmill exercise test (TET) between male smokers and non-smokers .Methods:A total of 200 men with long-term smoking ≥20 cigarette per day were screened from outpatients and treated as smoking group .Another 200 men with similar age ,who didn’ t smoke at all ,were regarded as non-smoking control group (control group) .There were no medical history for hypertension ,hyperlipidemia ,diabetes ,and were nega-tive for electrocardiography and color echocardiography (exclude left ventricular hypertrophy etc .organic heart disease) in two groups .TET results and incidence rate of acute myocardial infarction (AMI) within two years were compared between two groups .Results:Compared with control group ,there were significant rise in TET positive rate (37. 5% vs .57. 5% , P<0.001) and incidence rate of AMI (8.5% vs .17.5% ,P=0.007) within two years in smoking group .Conclusion:Risk of suffering from coronary artery disease is more high in smokers among men .

Gefitinib and erlotinib play important roles, which as the representative of the epidermal growth factor receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitors for non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).However, preclinical and clinical studies find that many patients exist primary or acquired drug resistance to this drug, which limits the use of molecular targeted therapy drugs. At present, there are many studies focus on delaying or reversing drug resistance and developing new targets, which provide more potential for the molecular targeted therapy of NSCIC.

Chinese Journal of Experimental Ophthalmology 2011;29(6):489-494
Background A stable diabetic cataract animal model is a premise for screening and evaluating the drug for cataract therapy.Galactose cataract model is widely used in relevant experimental study, but the onset, extent and the type of lens opacification may be different due to different modeling way. Objective This study was to investigate the manifestations and pathological characteristics of cataract induced by D-galactose.Methods Fifty-six SPF SD rats were randomly divided into cataract-model group and control group and 28 rats for each group.50% D-galactose feed was given daily in model group, and regular feed was given in control group.Lenses of rats were examined under the slit lamp through the 30-day period at a 2-day interval, and then the opacity of lenses was graded on the modified Suryanarayana criteria. The body weight of rats was recorded and compared between two groups at day 5,10,15,20,25 and 30.The lenses samples were obtained for the histopathological examination by hemotoxylin and eosin staining. The wet weight, dry weight of the lenes and their ratio were detected and compared between these two groups. The use of animals followed the Regulation for the Administration of Affair Concerning Experimental Animals by State Science and Technology Commission. Results The body weight was reduced in model rats compared with control rats with the statistically significant difference from 10 days through 30 days(P<0.05).The different grades of opacification of lens cortical and nuclear progressed in model rats throughout the experiment duration, but the lenses were clear in control rats. The slit-lamp microscopy and pathological examinations revealed that lenses opacity in model rats started from the cortex at the equator zone and developed towards central zone gradually with the lapse of experimental time.Following the entire opacity of lens cortex, lens nucleus were cloudy and expanded. The swelling and degeneration of the fiber cells in lens cortex, the differentiation, migration and denuclearation delay of lens epithelial cells were seen in model rats under the light microscope. The wet weight of lenses was increased and the dry weight was decreased in model rats in comparison with control rats in experimental 30 days, showing significant difference between two groups(t=138.571,t=52.468,P<0.05).Conclusion The development of galactose-induced cataract animal model resemble one of age-related cortical cataract in human with the similar generating mechanism. This cataract model is reproducible and classifiable.

Orthopedic Journal of China 2006;0(06):-
[Objective]To explore the clinic results of the locking compression plate fixation for the acetabular fractures.[Method]Twenty-three patients were treated in the author's department, 16 of them were male and 7 were female patients. The ages ranged from 21 to 61 years, and mean age was 43.3 years.Ninteen patients had been injured in an automobile accident,3 were fell from height and 1 was crushed by a heavy object. The patients were classified according to Letournel classification. There were 7 anterior column fractures,3 posterior wall fractures,5 anterior wall fractures,2 transverse fractures,1 anterior column and posterior column fracture,1 T shape fracture, 3 posterior wall and posterior column fractures,1 transverse and posterior wall fracture.[Result]All the incisions healed during the primary procedure and all the patients were available at follow-up ranging from 3 to 24 months(average 20.1 months). The average intraoperation time was 123 minutes(50~235 minutes),and the intraoperative blood loss was 100 to 1500 ml.The patinents underwent blood transfusion from 0 ml to 1 200 ml.According to Matt's criteria, the rate of excellent and good was 73.9%(17/23).[Conclusion]The locking compression plate fixation is one of the effective methods for treatment of acetabular fractures, with the advantages of being simple and minimally traumatic.
