1.Modified circumcision with a disposable suture device.
National Journal of Andrology 2015;21(6):541-544
OBJECTIVETo improve the methods and reduce the complications of circumcision with a disposable suture device.
METHODSThis study included 325 male patients aged 14-65 (mean 28.9) years, treated for redundant prepuce or phimosis by modified (n = 201) or conventional circumcision with a disposable suture device (n = 124). We compared the incidence of complications and the patients' satisfaction between the two surgical methods.
RESULTSCompared with conventional circumcision, the modified method showed a significantly lower incidence of postoperative bleeding (14.52% vs 2.49% , P < 0.05) and a lower rate of second surgery for penile hematoma (4.03% vs 0.50%, P < 0.05). The patients' satisfaction was markedly higher with the modified method (91.94%) than with conventional circumcision (97.51%) (P < 0.05).
CONCLUSIONModified circumcision with the disposable suture device can significantly reduce the incidence of postoperative bleeding and penile hematoma and therefore deserves wide clinical application.

The present study was aimed to explore the relationship of transforming growth factor (TGF) beta3 gene SfaNI polymorphism (rs3917201 locus) and non-syndromic cleft lip with or without cleft palate (NSCL/P) in people of the Uygur's Nationality and Han's in Xinjiang, China. TGFbeta3 gene fragment including SfaNI was amplified and purified as the template of the primer extension reaction thenafter. The single base extension reaction was carried out u sing SNP specific extension primer. The products were purified and analyzed by MALDI-TOF. The test showed that there were not significantly different frequencies of AA, AG, GG genotypes and alleles between the whole NSCL/P group and the whole control group (P > 0.05). Within the Uygurs or Hans, the frequencies of genotypes between the whole NSCL/P group and the whole control group were not significantly different (P > 0.05). The distributions of the A, G alleles between the NSCL/P group and the control group were not significantly different within the Uygurs (P > 0.05), but significant different within the Hans (P < 0.05). In all the NSCL/P patients, frequencies of genotypes and alleles were not significantly different between Uygurs and Hans (P > 0.05), and not significantly different (P > 0.05) either between Uygurs and Hans in all the healthy persons. The results proved that TGFbeta3 gene SfaNI polymorphism may not be related to NSCL/P in Xinjiang Uygur people, while the occurrence of NSCL/P in Han population may be related to frequency of the A and G allele of SfaNI polymorphism.

OBJECTIVETo investigate molding technology of total alkaloids from Sophora alopecuroides freeze-dried powders and observe its inhibition effects on liver transplantation tumor in mice.
METHODWith color, clarity, water-soluble and formability as indexes, single factor tests were adopted to screen type and amount of filler, the concentration of total alkaloids in drug liquid, pH in order to determine optimum prescription of total alkaloids from S. alopecuroides freeze-dried powders, the lowest melting point was determined and freeze drying curve was drafted. Mice hepatoma H22 ascites tumor strain was sterile inoculated in right axillary subcutaneous of mice, and antitumor effect of total alkaloids from S. alopecuroides freeze-dried powders on liver transplantation tumor H22 in mice.
RESULTWhen selected 80 g x L(-1) as mannitol as filler, the concentration of total alkaloids in drug liquid was 25 g x L(-1) and pH 6.5-7.5, freeze-dried effect was optimum with fast reconstitute speed. Average inhibition rate of the big (120 mg x kg(-1)) and medium (60 mg x kg(-1)) dose group of total alkaloids from S. alopecuroides freeze-dried powders on liver transplantation tumor H22 in mice were 56.08% and 35.49%, respectively.
CONCLUSIONPreparation technology was reasonable, reproducible and stable, total alkaloids from S. alopecuroides freeze-dried powders had significant antitumor effect and showed a dose-effect relationship.

Chinese Journal of General Practitioners 2016;15(3):211-215
The records of 25 psychiatric patients ( clients ) who received case management from November 2009 to July 2010 were retrospectively analyzed. The factors related to the quality of professional relationship established between case managers and the clients were evaluated. The study revealed that timely supports, encourage and affirmation from case managers ( 40%) , the successful coordinate service (40%) , the active care for clients (24%) and helping to build up confidence and hope for clients (24%) were favourable factors for professional relationship establishment, while lack of desire to receive service and change from clients (24%) was adverse factor.

Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 2003;0(08):-
As the neuron-specific actin binding protein,Drebrin ( developmentally regulated brain protein) can affect spiny and synaptic morphology and function by changing the property of cytoskeleton, and modulate synaptic plasticity. Neural excitability regulates expression and activitiy of Drebrin through a variety of signaling molecules, making Drebrin' s function correlated with that of neurons. Under pathological conditions, the abnormal Drebrin affects synaptic plasticity, which leads to different degrees of cognitive dysfunction, and it is closely relates to the progress of cognitive dysfunction. Extensive studies of physiological and pathological functions of Drebrin in overall and molecular ways will not only contribute to a thorough understanding of cognitive dysfunction, but also develop the new target of therapeutics for cognitive dysfunction.

BACKGROUND:The residual alveolar ridge in edentulous patients with osteoporosis always presents with a poor shape, which increases the difficulty in complete denture restoration.Until now, there are no predictors for residual alveolar ridge resorption or guidelines on the frequency of denture relines.OBJECTIVE:To investigate the correlation between the frequency of complete denture relines and serum bone turnover markers, osteocalcin (OC) and cross-linked carboxy-terminal telopeptide of type Ⅰ collagen (CTX),in elderly edentulous patients with osteoporosis,in order to provide reference for complete denture repair.METHODS:According to inclusion criteria,50 elderly edentulous patients with osteoporosis who had complete dentures were recruited in the study randomly. The frequency of complete denture relines was surveyed by related questionnaire and medical record, and the serum OC and CTX levels were detected by electrochemiluminescence immunoassay.Related data were analyzed statistically via Pearson correlation analysis.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:It showed a strong positive correlation between the frequency of complete denture relines and the serum OC level (r=0.517,P < 0.01).No significant correlation between relines frequency and the serum CTX level was observed (r=0.278,P=0.051 > 0.05),but it showed a similar tendency between them. These findings indicate that to detect the levels of serum bone turnover markers may be conducive to evaluating curative effect of complete dentures in elderly edentulous patients with osteoporosis as well as to making subsequent diagnostic and therapeutic strategies.
