Objective To explore the methods for endoscopy nasal microsurgery and multiple techniques in treatment of nasopharyngeal angiofibromas. Methods CT, MRI and digial substraction angiography (DSA) and endoscopic examination had been used. ALL 12 patients accepted preoperative feeding artery embolum, hypotention anesthesia and injected adrenaline-lidocaine. Microelectrotomy-electrocoagulation had been used to remove tumor. Results All patients were treated by endoscopic nasal surgery. No complications had occurred. No recurrence were found in follow-up period. Conclusion The important factors to reduce amount of introperative bleeding are to select proper operative patients and use multiple techniques. Endoscopy nasal surgery has dominance in reducing complications, wound, tumor recurrence, operative time and nasal function.

Objective To describe the MRI features and pathologic findings of biliary cystadenocarcinoma(BCAC)and to assess the diagnostic value of MRI in those tumors.Methods Five cases of BCAC were collected.All cases were proved by pathology.Non-enhanced and multiphase-enhanced MRI were performed in all cases.MRCP were performed in two cases.The MRI features of the five cases were reviewed retrospectively and correlated with pathologic findings.Results Histological evidence demonstrated five cases of BCAC.Four cases were solitary,whereas the other case was multifocal.All cases were solid and cystic lesions.Two cases were unilocular,whereas the other three cases were multilocular. Multiple mural nodules and irregular thickening cystic walls were presented in all cases.The cystic parts of the lesions were homogeneous in signal intensity and showed no enhancement after contrast administration in the five BCAC.Septa were present in three BCAC with multilocular cyst.On MRCP the bile duct dilatation was found in two BCAC.Conclusion MRI can reveal the characteristic findings of BCAC and accurate preoperative diagnosis can be made.

To further explore the clinical effect of massage therapy on navel,the related ancient literatures were arranged and analyzed,and several methods in ancient clinical were introduced, including stroking navel, rubbing navel, pushing navel, tapping navel and puffing navel. In addition, the theoretical basis of massage therapy on navel were discussed. The results revealed ancient literatures offered abundant theoretical basis to modern clinical practice, and there were evidences of treating gastroenteric and gynecological diseases with this therapy. Comprehensively, through the study of ancient literatures and modern research, therapy of massage on navel is believed to be promising and will gain popularity in the future.

Objective To determine the relationship between expression of topoisomerase Ⅱ α and clinicopathological factors,overall survival in colorectal caner.Methods Expression of topoisomerase Ⅱ α was measured using EnVision immunohistochemistry in 490 colorectal cancer patients.The relationship between topoisomerase Ⅱ α expression and various clinicopathological parameters was analyzed.Kaplan-Meier analyses and multivariate analyses were used to evaluate the significance of topoisomerase Ⅱ α expression in prognosis prediction.Results Overexpression of topoisomerase Ⅱ α was found to be related with lower T stage ( P =0.042 ),lower N stage ( P =0.038 ),and possibly with lower recurrence rate ( P =0.053 ).Kaplan- Meier analyses showed that overexpression of topoisomerase Ⅱ α was related with prolonged overall survival (P =0.022 ) and prolonged disease-free survival ( P =0.036).Multivariate analyses showed that elevated serum CEA ( P ＜ 0.001 ),elevated serum CA199 ( P =0.002 ),poor differentiation ( P =0.001 ),advanced Dukes stage ( P ＜ 0.001 ) and lower expression of topoisomerase Ⅱ α( P =0.017 ) were independent predictive factors for poor prognosis.Conclusions Expression of topoisomerase Ⅱ α is a favorable predictive factor for colorectal cancer,and would be useful in prognosis prediction and treatment selection for early colorectal cancer and malignant colorectal polyps,especially when it is used in combinations with serum CEA,CA199 and differentiation.

Objective:To investigate roles of autophagy in ameliorating sepsis-induced acute lung injury by allicinin in mice.Methods:A total of 152 male Balb/c mice (8-week old) were randomly divided into a sham group,a septic model group,an allicin treatment group,and an autophagy inhibition group.Septic mouse model was established by cecal ligation and puncture (CLP).Mice in the allicin treatment group were given allicin (30 mg/kg,intra-peritoneal injection) at 6 and 12 h,while those in the autophagy inhibition group were given autophagy inhibitor 3-MA (15 mg/kg,intra-peritoneal injection) at half an hour after allicin administration.Mice in the model and sham group were administered with the same amount of saline.Twenty mice in each group were randomly chosen to observe the 7 d survival rate.The other 12 mice were killed at 24 h,and the bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) (n=6) and lung tissues (n=6) were collected.ELISA was used to detect the tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) and interleukin-6 (IL-6) in the BALF.Hematoxylin-eosin staining was preformed to show the morphological changes in the lung tissues.Malondialdehyde (MDA) content and the activity of superoxide dismutase (SOD) in the lung tissues were examined.The expression of LC3B and Beclin-1 was determined by immunohistochemical analysis.Results:Compared with the sham group,the 7 d survival rate and lung SOD activity were decreased in the CLP group (P<0.05);the lung morphological damage score,the levels of TNF-α and IL-6 in the BALF,MDA content in the lung,and expression of LC3B and Beclin-1 were increased greatly in the CLP group (P<0.05).Compared with the CLP group,the 7 d survival rate,lung SOD activity and the expressions of LC3B and Beclin-1 were increased significantly in the allicin treatment group (P<0.05);the lung morphological damage scores,the levels of TNF-α and IL-6 in the BALF and MDA content in the lung were decreased obviously in the allicin treatment group (P<0.05).Compared with the allicin treatment group,the 7 d survival rate,lung SOD activity,and the expressions of LC3B and Beclin-1 were decreased in the 3-MA group (P<0.05);the lung morphological damage scores,the levels of TNF-α and IL-6 in the BALF,and MDA content in the lung were increased significantly in the 3-MA group (P<0.05).Conclusion:Allicin may ameliorate sepsis-induced acute lung injury in mice by enhancing the level of autophagy.
