Medical imaging inspection technology is a practical major obligatory course for college students in medical imaging major.In order to overcome the defects of traditional teaching,we try to improve teaching methods,to carry out opening laboratory system,and to establish picture archiving and communication system ( PACS ) laboratory for the cultivation of applied talents of medical imaging.

Objective To observe the clinical effects and nursing therapy of Jinchuangkangjungao ointment and infrared therapy in the treatment of chronic skin ulcers .Methods Seventy-five patients with chronic skin ulcers were divided into two groups :the experimental group(n=39) and the control group(n=36) .Jinchuangkangjungao ointment and infrared therapy were applied to the experimental group and the control group underwent conventional treatment ,including debridement ,dressing change and iodine wet compressing .The two group were both given basic nursing therapy .The effect and healing time were observed after 30 days . Results The experimental group′s total effective rate(92 .31% ) was significantly better than that of the control group(69 .44% ) , with significant difference(P<0 .01);The healing time of the experimental group[(11 .98 ± 6 .05)d] was significantly shorten than the control group[(16 .96 ± 7 .13)d] ,with significant difference(P<0 .05) .Conclusion Jinchuangkangjungao ointment combined with infrared therapy had noticeable effect in the treatment of chronic skin ulcers .

Objective To evaluate the long-term therapeutic effect of hyaluronic acid on adults with Kashia-Beck disease and the applicability of the joint dysfunction index.Methods A cluster-randomized,starch tablets-controlled trial was carried out depending on the joint dysfunction index of assessment for therapeutic efficacy on Kashin-Beck disease and self-assessment by patients of the Treatment Effect of Kaschin Beck Disease in Criterion.A total of 99 adults with Kashia-Beck disease were randomly divided into two groups:treatment group including 50 patients were intra-articular injected hyaluronic acid in knee weekly for 4 weeks,and the control group including 49 patients were treated with oral starch tablets for 3 months,2 tablets each time,3 times a day.We carried out 48 months follow-up and assessed the applicability of Kashia-Beck disease with treatment of hyaluronic acid.Results The improvement rates of joint dysfunction index were 80.0％ (40/50),83.0％ (39/47),86.4％ (38/44),85.7％(36/42),80.0％(36/45),and 47.1％(16/34) for 1 week and 1,2,3,6,48 months in treatment group,respectively,which were significantly higher than those of corresponding control group 25.0％ (12/48),28.3％ (13/46),33.3％ (16/48),25.0％ (10/40),30.0％ (12/40),and 21.4％ (6/28),and the differences were statistically significant between corresponding groups (x2=29.744,28.236,17.762,30.665,21.537,4.406; all P ＜ 0.05).Before treatment,the treatment group and control group in the joint dysfunction index scores were 7.59 ± 1.82 and 6.89 ± 1.97(t =1.837,P ＞ 0.05),respectively.After treatment,1 month follow up of the treatment group and control group in the joint dysfunction index scores were 3.44 ± 1.71 and 5.55 ± 2.34(t =4.972,P ＜ 0.01),respectively; 6 months follow up were 3.46 ± 2.78 and 6.10 ± 1.83(t =5.102,P ＜ 0.01),respectively; 48 months follow up were 5.13 ± 2.88 and 6.81 ± 3.07(t =2.219,P ＜ 0.05),respectively.The satisfaction of 85.1％ (40/47) in treatment group was significantly higher than that of 60.9％(28/46) in control group (Z =-4.012,P ＜ 0.01).Kappa value between joint dysfunction index and the overall evaluation of the treatment group after treatment was 0.526,which belong to moderate intensity of consistent degree (P ＜ 0.01).Conclusion The therapeutic effect of intra-articular injection of hyaluronic acid on adults with Kashia-Beck disease is significant and lasting,and the joint dysfunction index has better applicability to evaluate the long-term therapeutic effect.

Objective To evaluate the applicability of western Ontario and McMaster university osteoarthritis index (WOMAC) on Kaschin-Beck disease (KBD).Methods Clinical degree Ⅰ adult patients with KBD came from Yongshou and Linyou Counties in Shaanxi Province were investigated according to the historical diagnostic data and The Diagnosis Standard of Kashin-Beck Disease (GB 16003-1995),exclusion of other chronic diseases.Reliability of WOMAC was measured by retest reliability,1/2 coefficient and Cronbach'α reliability coefficient analysis; validity of the WOMAC was tested by the principal components,factor analysis and correlation analysis methods.Results Totally 200 adults patients with KBD were investigated,and 177 effective questionnaires were taken back (88.5 ％).Retest reliability was 0.754-0.853,1/2 coefficient was 0.886-0.971,and Cronbach'α reliability coefficient was 0.878-0.956.In three dimensions of WOMAC scale extracted a common factor,the cumulative variance contribution rate was 81.238％ through principal component factor.The pearson correlation coefficient between all items score of WOMAC and scale score and total score of WOMAC was more than 0.600.The differences of WOMAC score were not statistically significant in different ages,different grading of adult KBD patients (all P ＞ 0.05).Conclusion WOMAC scale used in KBD has good validity and reliability,but has low degree of differentiation.

Objective To investigate the improvement of quality of life of patient with Kashin-Beck disease (KBD) after knee joint cavity injection of hyaluronic acid.Methods Fifty KBD patients were selected in Yongshou County Shaanxi Province,and accepted knee joint cavity injection of hyaluronic acid (25 mg) for four times,one time a week.SF-36 health questionnaire was used to evaluate the quality of life of KBD patients,and the quality adjusted life years (QALYs) were calculated after 2 months.Results The total score of the quality of life of KBD patients was improved from 38.81 ± 17.39 to 49.35 ± 17.95 after knee joint cavity injection of hyaluronic acid.The scores of physiological function (PF),body pain (BP),general health (GH),energy (VT),social function (SF) and mental health (MH) in the eight dimensions of SF-36 scale were 54.42 ± 21.25,47.42 ± 20.80,48.00 ± 26.12,61.05 ± 19.14,68.09 ± 28.73 and 68.74 ± 14.85,respectively,after the treatment,which were higher than those before the treatment (41.51 ± 22.11,27.63 ± 11.78,38.76 ± 25.14,51.97 ± 18.14,57.89 ± 30.95 and 56.95 ± 20.47,t =-3.942,-6.344,-2.494,-2.785,-2.819 and-4.245,all P ＜ 0.05).The QALYs of KBD patients increased 0.051 ± 0.044 with 2 months followed up.Conclusion The quality of life (PF,BP,GH,VT,SF and MH) of KBD patients could be significantly improved after knee joint cavity injection of hyaluronic acid.

Objective To evaluate the effects of Ulinastatin (UTI) on the expressions of TNF-α,IL-6 and neurons apoptosis in cerebral cortex of rats after cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).Methods Thirty-six healthy male adult Wistar rats were induced ventricular fibrillation untreated for 7 min and then received CPR.The animals were infused UTI 100 000 U/kg or phosphate-buffered solution (PBS) at once after ROSC.At 2,4 and 8 h after ROSC,cerebral cortex were removed to determine the mRNA expressions and levels of TNF-α protein and IL-6 protein,the translocation ratio of NF-κB p65 from cytoplasm to nucleus and the apoptotic neurons.Results The plasma levels of TNF-α (ng/mL) in animals of UTI group were (17.7 ± 1.4),(21.9 ± 2.1) and (17.1 ± 0.6) at 2,4 and 8 h after ROSC respectively,and significantly lower than those in PBS group at the given intervals.Mean while,the levels of IL-6 (ng/mL) were (208.9 ± 14.1),(281.5 ±25.9) and (251.8 ± 15.3) at 2,4 and 8 h after ROSC respectivèly in animals of UTI group,and lower than those in PBS group.The expressions of TNF-α mRNA and IL-6 mRNA and protein levels of TNF-α and IL-6 in UTI group were both lower than those in PBS group at given intervals,respectively.The translocation ratio of NF-κB p65 from plasma to nucleus in PBS group at each given interval after ROSC was significantly higher than that in UTI group.The number of viable neurons in cerebral cortex in UTI group was higher than that in PBS group,while the number apoptosis neurons was fewer in UTI group.Conclusions UTI attenuated the general inflammatory response after ROSC in rat,decreased the activation of NF-κB pathway,and subsequently attenuated the expression of TNF-α and IL-6,and finally decreased the neurons apoptosis.

AIMTo establish HPLC chiral separation method for ketoprofen enantiomers by using Chirobiotic V chiral seperation phase (CSP) (A) and vancomycin as chiral mobile phase additives (B).

METHODSThe separation was first performed on Chirobiotic V CSP with the mobile phase of terahydrofran (THF)-0.5% triethylanine acetate(TEAA) buffer (15:85) at the flow rate of 0.7 mL.min-1. When using vancomycin as chiral mobile phase additive, the separation was carried out on C8 column (150 mm x 4.6 mm), the mobile phase was methanol-0.25% TEAA buffer (50:50), the flow rate was 0.7 mL.min-1. The effects of the concentration of vancomycin, organic modifier and the pH of the buffer on the resolution of ketoprofen enantiomers were investigated. Also, the feasibility of these two methods to be used as quantitative method was studied.

RESULTSKetoprofen enantiomers were separated at a baseline level under the chromatographic condition of both methods A and B, the resolution was 2.28 and 2.22, respectively. In method A the linearity of enantiomer was obtained from 0.5 mg.L-1 to 100 mg.L-1, the detectionlimit was 1 microgram.L-1. When using vancomycin as mobile phase additive the system was shown to have a high efficiency. In this system, the assay of enantiomer is linear from 2.5 mg.L-1 to 250 mg.L-1. The detection limit was 14.5 micrograms.L-1.

CONCLUSIONBoth methods can be used to detect optical purity of S-(+)-ketoprofen.

The standard treatment for colorectal cancer still have not been unified,especially the treatment for patients with locally advanced rectal cancer (T3 or T4 stage) is controversial,and multidisciplinary comprehensive treatment is recommended by most of the scholars.Precise preoperative diagnosis and staging for locally advanced rectal cancer is very important.Currently,transrectal ultrasound (TRUS),multi-slice spiral computed tomography,magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) are playing important roles in the preoperative diagnosis and staging,while controversies on the efficacies of different imaging diagnosis on the evaluation of rectal cancer exist between domestic and overseas scholars.From October 2010 to October 2012,the imaging data of 30 patients with locally advanced rectal cancer who were admitted to the Tumor Hospital of Yunnan Province were retrospectively analyzed.The results showed that TRUS,computed tumography and MRI had guidance value in preoperative tumor staging and evaluation of neoadjuvant therapy for patients with locally advanced rectal cancer,which provide a more reliable basis for the selection of appropriate treatment programs.

Object: To investigate the effects of Huaiqihuang Granule, a compound Chinese herbal medicine, on expressions of nephrin and podocin of slit diaphragm of glomerular podocytes in rats with adriamycin-induced nephrosis and to explore the mechanism in reducing the proteinuria. Methods: Twenty SD rats were randomly divided into five groups: control group, model group, glucocorticoid group, Huaiqihuang Granule group and Huaiqihuang Granule plus glucocorticoid group. The 24-hour urine was collected 7, 14, 21 and 28 days after adriamycin injection respectively to measure 24-hour urinary protein, and all rats were sacrificed after 28-day treatment. Pathological changes in renal tissues were observed under a light microscope and an electron microscope. Expressions of nephrin and podocin mRNAs in renal cortex were determined by real-time polymerase chain reaction, and protein levels of nephrin and podocin were detected by Western blotting. Results: (1) In the model group and the treatment groups, the level of urinary protein increased significantly from the 14th day. (2) Under the light microscope, inflammatory cells and slight fibroplasia were found in renal interstitium of the model group, but there were less inflammatory cells in renal interstitium in the intervention groups than in the model group. Under the electron microscope, 29 days after adriamycin injection, extensive fusion of foot processes was observed. (3) The expressions of nephrin and podocin were higher in treatment groups than in the model group. (4) Proteinuria level was negatively correlated with the expressions of nephrin mRNA and nephrin and podocin proteins. Conclusion: The above results indicate that Huaiqihuang Granule can maintain the integrity of the slid diaphragram in podocyte, alleviate the lesion of glomerular filtration membrane, and decrease the proteinuria by up-regulating the expressions of nephrin and podocin. Huaiqihuang Granule plus glucocorticoid maybe has better effects than glucocorticoid alone.

BACKGROUND:Reports have demonstrated that cytotoxicity produced by ferric oxide (Fe2O3) nanoparticles is associated with cellular lipid peroxidation. Whether Fe2O3 nanoparticles have toxicity to macrophages, and what is the association of toxic mechanism and oxidization?OBJECTIVE: To observe the effects of different concentrations of Fe2O3 nanoparticles on the oxidative damage of macrophages.DESIGN: A controlled observation experiment.SETTING: School of Public Health, Southeast University.MATERIALS: RAW264.7 cells were peritoneal macrophages of mouse and purchased from Shanghai Institute of cells, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Fe2O3 nanoparticles (30 nm) suspension was provided by Department of Biomedical Engineering, Southeast University). Fe2O3 nanoparticle suspension was placed in 60 ℃ water for 10 hours,then in 37 ℃ water overnight. This procedure was repeated 3 times for germicidal treatment. Then, the suspension was packed into small bottles and stored at 4 ℃ for later use. DMEM high glucose culture fluid (Gibco Company,USA); trypsinase (Difco Company, USA, imported); new-bom calf serum(Sijiqing Company, Hangzhou); hydrogen dioxide (H2O2, Gibco Company); Kits for measuring hydrogen dioxide(H2O2), hydroxy radical (·OH), superoxide anion radical (O2·-), lactic acid dehydrogenase, ultramicro ATP enzyme and Coomassie brilliant blue protein levels (Jiancheng Biotechnique Co., Ltd.,Nanjing).METHODS: This experiment was carried out in the laboratory of Department of Labor and Environmental Health, School of Public Health, Dongnan University between March 2006 and July 2006. RAW264.7 cells (Abelson murine leukemia virus-induced tumor) were cultured in DMEM (Gibco Company) containing 100 g/L fetal bovineserum, 100 000 U/L penicillin and 100 mg/L streptomycin in the environment of 5% CO2. Cell growth was observed under an inverted radical in the cells: 1.5×108 L-1 macrophages were inoculated to 24-well plate, 1 mLa well. After the macrophages were cultured for 24 hours in incubation at 37 ℃ in a humidified atmosphere containing 5% CO2. 1.070 0, 0.5350 and 0.2675 g/L Fe2O3 nanoparticles (30 nm) suspension-intervened macrophages were set as Fe2O3 nanoparticle group, and normal saline group was set as control group. Following the intervention of nanoparticles, macrophages were disrupted with Determination of the activities of lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), Na+-K+-ATPase and Ca2+-Mg2+-ATPase: Macrophages in the Fe2O3 nanoparticle group and control group were treated as above. The activities of LDH in culture medium were determined according to the instruction of reagent kit (Nanjing Jiancheng Bioengineering Co., Ltd). And the activities of Na+-K+-ATPase and Ca+-Mg2+-ATPase were also determined according to the instruction of reagent kit (Nanjing Jiancheng Bioengineering Co., Ltd) at low temperature. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: ①Effects of different concentrations of Fe2O3 nanoparticles on the production of H2O2, ·OH and O2·- in RAW264.7 cells.②Effects of different concentrations of Fe2O3 nanoparticles on the activities of LDH ,Na+-K+-ATPase and Ca2+-Mg2+-ATPase in RAW264.7 cell culture fluid.RESULTS: ① Level of ·OH free radical in Fe2O3 nanoparticle 0.267 5, 0.535 0, 1.070 0 g/L groups was higher than that in control group, respectively [(0.605±0.066), (0.410±0.080), (0.764±0.051), (0.285±0.057)mkat/g, P ＜ 0.05]; Level of respectively [(9.935±1.159), (8.912±0.131), (13.479±0.752), (5.635±0.475)μkat/g,P ＜ 0.05]; Level of H2O2 in Fe2O3 nanoparticle 1.070 0 g/L group was higher than that in the control group [(14.695±2.815), (2.397±0.399) mmol/L, P ＜increased (P ＜ 0.05). Fe2O3 nanoparticles had effects on the activities of Na+,K+-ATPase and Ca2+,Mg2+-ATPase. With the increase of dose of Fe2O3 nanoparticles, the activities of Na+-K+-ATPase and Ca2+-Mg2+-ATPase were gradually decreased. There were significant differences as compared with control group (P ＜ 0.05)CONCLUSION:Increasing dose of Fe2O3 nanoparticles wouldcause more H2O2,·OH and O2·- free radicals in the cells, increase cell membrane permeability and inhibit the activities of LDH, Na+-K+-ATPase and Ca2+-Mg2+-ATPase.
