Objective To study the prospective memory and the severity of the impairment of event- based prospective memory(EBPM)and time-based prospective memory(TBPM)in normally aging adults. The ultimate goal of post-genome research is to understand a complete set of proteins in a living organism for their expression pattern and biological function,which is called proteomics.One of the major challenges in proteome research is to study the protein-protein interactions,and the emerging bioinformatics approaches present us tremendous advantages when dealing with protein interaction networking and data analysis.Useful bioinformatics tools include protein-protein interaction network mapping,topology of the network,structure of the module and comparison of the network.The technology advancement in this field brings further understandings to the structure and function of cells at the proteome level,which may eventually lead to the discovery of new drug targets and design methods.This paper attempts to review the current researches on protein-protein interaction with an emphasis on bioinformatics intervention,and also summarizes some widely used methods for network analysis.

Alimentary tract duplications are rare congenital anomalies that usually present in childhood and occasionally in adults. They are most common in the ileum, but can occur anywhere along the alimentary tract from the mouth to the anus. We report a 24-year-old woman who presented with a giant chylous ileum cyst duplication. To our knowledge, there is only one other report of a patient with a giant chylous cyst in the literature.

We describe two cases in which a forceps imprintdeveloped in the AcrySof ReSTOR IOL optic whileinserting these IOLs into the cartridge with straightclamping forceps. In case 1 ,the AcrySof ReSTOR IOL wasexplanted and observed under scanning electronmicroscopy (SEM). The SEM showed that the stepdesign of ReSTOR Multifocal IOL was well maintained. Incase 2, visual acuity, contrast sensitivity and wavefrontmeasurements were performed and no specific changeswere found. Strong evidence does not exist that suggeststhe on-axis forceps imprint can significantly compromisevisual acuity.

San'ao Decoction (SD) and its analogous formulas derived in the following generations are common used prescriptions for treating pulmonary diseases with principal symptoms such as cough and asthma. They are usually compatible with Chinese herbs for facilitating Fei, dispelling wind, resolving phlegm and fluid retention. Material bases in these formulas are mainly derived from Chinese drugs, but dissolution contents of active components are changed and new components are produced after compatibility. By multilevel effect evaluation, these analogous formulas all have commonness in ventilating Fei and superiorities of evidence-based derivation. The effect pathway of commonness was involved in cell structure protection, anti-inflammation, antioxidant, and immunoregulation.

Objective To evaluate the efficacy of premedication of pronase and simethicone before upper gastrointestinal endoscopy. Methods A total of 4 690 patients undergoing upper gastrointestinal en?doscopy from January 2014 to November 2014 were recruited at gastrointestinal endoscopy center in Beijing Military General Hospital. All patients were randomized into 3 groups. The pronase plus simethicone group( n=1 602) took 40 ml mixed solution of pronase, sodium bicarbonate and simethicone orally 20 minutes before endoscopy. The simethicone group( n=1 548) took 40 ml simethicone orally 20 minutes before endoscopy. And the control group( n=1 540) took 10 ml lidocaine hydrochloride mucilage orally 5 minutes before endos?copy. The visibility during gastroscopy was observed. Results Each patient underwent gastroscopy, and no severe adverse event occurred during the procedure. The visibility of 82?3%( n=1 318) of the pronase plus simethicone group, 67?7%( n=1 048) of the simethicone group and 28?1% patients( n=432) of the control group respectively reached grade A or B. The visibility during gastroscopy in the pronase plus simethicone group was higher than that in the simethicone group(χ2=89?42, P=0?000) , while that in the simethicone group was higher than that of the control group(χ2=486?30, P=0?000). Conclusion Premedication of pronase and simethicone can improve the visibility during gastroscopy.
