1.Analysis of Correlation between the Number of Macrophages in Deep Burn Wound and the Concentrations of sTNFR and sVCAM-I in Wound Fluid
Journal of Shanghai Jiaotong University(Medical Science) 2006;0(08):-
Objective To detect the concentrations of (soluble TNF receptor type,sTNFR-I, sTNFR-II) and (soluble vascular cell adhesion molecule-1,sVCAM-I) in deep burn wound fluids and the number of macrophages in different stage of human deep burn wound, and to analyse the correlation between them. Methods The wound fluid was collected with sponge during the dressing change, and then the concentrations of sTNFR-I, sTNFR-II and sVCAM-I were detected by ELISA. The tissues of burn wound were collected at operation, and the tissue slices were dyed with HE.The macrophages were marked by immunohistochemistry with antibody of CD68, and then the number of macrophages was counted under the microscope. Results The concentrations of sTNFR-I and sTNFR-II in burn wound fluid and the number of macrophages in burn wound were significantly increased two days postburn, which maintained at high levels until the wound healed. The concentration of sVCAM-I was decreased immediately after the burn until the wound healed. The correlation coefficient between the concentrations of sTNFR-I, sTNFR-II, sVCAM-I and the number of macrophages were 0.95, 0.97 and -0.37, respectively. Conclusion The number of macrophages has a strong correlation with sTNFR-I and sTNFR-II in human deep burn wound, and has a weak correlation with sVCAM-I,which suggests that the macrophages may play a cooperative role with sTNFR in burn wound healing.

Chinese Journal of Diabetes 2008;0(07):-
Objective To examine the circulating glucose and body weight in the transgenic MKR mouse model who expressed dominant-negative IGF-1 receptor and insulin receptor in skeletal muscle leading to systemic insulin resistance and diabetes. Methods MKR mice were genotyped by PCR analysis of tail DNA.And in these mice we examined the circulating glucose and body weight once a week from 1 to 16 weeks of age, and the circulating insulin and glucose tolerance at age of two-month-old by using C57 mice as controls. Results The descendents of MKR mice kept hereditary feature. And these mice had hyperglycaemia from 3 weeks of age,and an increasing body weight slowly(P

Objective To investigate the effect of Mepilex on pressure sores in patients at lateral position after craniocerebral surgery. Methods Toally 60 patients lying at lateral position after craniocerebral surgery were randomized into two groups in equal number with random digit table:the control group and experiment group. In the control group,Gel pad was used to prevent and treat the pressure sores and in the experiment group Mepilex was used between the compressed skin and operation table before setting the position. The skin conditions of the two groups were observed after operation.Result The prophylactic effect of pressure sore in the experiment group was significantly better than that in the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion Mepilex can prevent the skin pressure sores in the patients at lateral position after cerebral surgery.
