Objective To review the clinical operation methods of abdominal incisional hernia. Methods Classification, operation method and fellow-up of 78 patients with abdominal incisional hernia were retrospectively analyzed. Results The average time of fellow-up was 26 months. Nineteen cases were repaired with simple suture with 3 cases (15.8%) recurrence, 57 cases were repaired with man-made material with 2 case (3.4%) recurrence. Conclusions Individual operation method should be chosen according to body condition, classification of the size of abdominal loss and abdominal hypertension. It is an effective method to repair the hernia of abdominal incision with man-made material.

Objective To investigate the relationship between accompanying infection and the change of immunologic function in type 2 diabetes mellitus ( T2DM) patients.Methods One hundred and fifteen T2DM patients with infection and 95 T2DM patients with no infection were selected,and 102 subjects with no history of dia-betes were selected as no diabetetes with infection group.The venous blood of all groups were sampled after an over-night fast of 12h.Glycosylated hemoglobin a1c(HbA1c) level was tested by glycosylated hemoglobin automatic analy-zer.The levels of T cell subsets including CD3 ,CD4 ,CD8 ,NK cell and B cell ratio were tested by flow cytometry,Ig and complement level was tested by immune nephelometry.Results The level of body mass indices(BMI) in T2DM patients with infection group[(27.39 ±9.18) kg/m2 ] and with no infection group[(26.15 ±7.39) kg/m2 ] were higher than no diabetes with infection group (24.21 ±5.37)kg/m2 (t =2.548,4.702,all P <0.05).The levels of IgG,IgA,IgM,C3 ,C4 in T2DM with infection group were (11.83 ±3.92)mg/mL,(3.02 ±0.96)mg/mL,(3.38 ± 0.82)mg/mL,(1.70 ±0.38)mg/mL,(0.52 ±0.18)mg/mL,which in T2DM with non infection group were (12.46 ± 2.47)mg/mL,(2.63 ±1.37)mg/mL,(2.91 ±1.79)mg/mL,(1.58 ±0.43)mg/mL,(0.46 ±0.31)mg/mL,which in no diabetetes with infection group were (13.26 ±3.74)mg/mL,(2.06 ±1.86)mg/mL,(2.49 ±1.01)mg/mL, (1.19 ±0.82)mg/mL,(0.30 ±0.05)mg/mL.In T2DM with non infection group and T2DM with infection group, humoral immunity index including the level of IgG was lower and IgA,IgM,C3 ,C4 levels were higher than no dia-betetes with infection group,the differences were statistically significant(t =7.052,23.059,12.617,18.326,8.730, all P <0.05).The levels of CD4 ,CD8 ,NK,CD4 /CD8 ,CD3 were (37.68 ±8.39)%,(31.58 ±6.98)%,(10.76 ± 6.49)%,(1.19 ±0.75),(62.83 ±5.28)% in T2DM with infection group,which in T2DM with non infection group were (39.23 ±10.28)%,(27.61 ±5.65)%,(14.89 ±7.12)%,(1.39 ±1.01),(64.19 ±6.46)%,which in no diabetes with infection group were (42.91 ±5.67)%,(25.17 ±7.25)%,(16.39 ±6.24)%,(1.86 ±0.82), (73.65 ±9.10)%.Cellular immunity index containing CD4 ,CD8 ,NK,CD4 /CD8 ,CD3 levels decreased more signifi-cantly than no diabetic group,T2DMI group compared with T2DM group,the levels of IgG,CD4 ,CD8 ,NK,B cell ratio, CD4 /CD8 ,CD3 decreased obviously,while the levels of IgA,IgM,C3 declined greatly,there were significant differences (t =11.038,8.237,18.549,25.871,2.436,all P <0.05).Conclusion Patients with T2DM have humoral and cellular immunity abnormalities,T2DM patients with infection is closely related with the imbalance of immunologic function.

Objective: To observe the changes of heart rate and the contents of angiotensin Ⅱ(AngⅡ) in blood plasma in ventricular tachycardia(VT) rats with electro-acupuncture(EA) on ‘daling’(PC7). Methods: 40 SD rats were randomly divided into normal, model, treatment and control groups with 10 cases in each. VT model was duplicated by inject CsCl in femoral vein. To observe the rats’ electrocardiogram (ECG) and record their heart rates. EA was applied to‘daling’ (PC7) on treatment group and applied to‘Taiyuan’ (LU9) on control group for 5 minutes. Then, we detected the contents of AngⅡ in the rats’blood plasma respectively. Results: The heart rate and contents of AngⅡin rat increased obviously in model group were (547?30) time/min and (353.21?49.12)pg/mL). They restored to the normal state after EA ‘daling’ (PC7) are(474?25)time/min and(268.44?47.49)pg/ mL.But the effect was not obvious in ‘Taiyuan’ (LU9). Conclusion VT rat heart can be prompted to restore to the normal state after EA ‘daling’(PC7); AngⅡ played an important role in VT.

Objective To study the effects of p27kip1 gene on the apoptosis in esophageal carcinoma cell lines EC 9706. Methods A replication deficient adenovirus vector encoding p27kip1(ad p27kip1) was constructed and human esophageal carcinoma cell lines EC 9706 were transduced in vitro. The cell apoptosis were determined by flow cytometry, TUNEL technique and DNA fragmentation analysis. Results Ad p27kip1 containing the p27kip1 sequence was successfully constructed and the virus titer was 1.24?10 12 CFU/ml. The transduction efficiency was 100% when multplicity of infection≥50. Objective To investigate the effects of inhibiting ubiquitin proteasome pathway(UPP) on proliferation of gastric carcinoma cells and the possible mechanism was discussed. Methods The gastric carcinoma cell strain SGC 7901 was treated with MG 132 to inhibit its UPP specially. The effect of growth suppression on cells was evaluated with MTT assay. Objective To evaluate the clinical safety and efficacy of HIFU treatment of hepatic metastases from colorectal cancer.Methods 20 tumor lesions in 14 patients with hepatic metastases from colonectal cancer were treated with HIFU therapy.The vital signs,main organs'functions,examination of MRI and complications were observed.Results Vital signs of all the 14 patients were stable.The function of liver and kidney were normal and life quality were improved with elevation of Karnofsky in 5 patients.On MRI examination,the MRI signals of treating area of 20 tumor lesion in 14 patients decreased remarkably with disappearance of blood supply and a thin layer of edematous intensified zone was detected on the margin of lesion.6 patients were found to have cord-like burning scar on skin.Conclusion HIFU treatment is safe and effective in treatment of hepatic metastases from colorectal cancer.

Objective To study prognosis of patients with fulminant hepatitis after plasma ex- change treatment using model for end-stage liver disease(MELD)scoring system.Methods 160 pa- tients were randomly divided into plasma exchange group and control group,and MELD score was calculated according to the original formula for each patient.The efficacy of plasma exchange was as- sessed by mortality and improvement in biochemical parameters and MELD score.Results The levels of total bilirubin(TBIL),INR and MELD score of patients whose MELD scores were between 30 and 40[TBIL,(379.4?40.4)?mol/L; INR,2.5?0.2; MELD,30.8?3.8]were lower than before PE treatment[TBIL,(509.7?64.6)?mol/L;INR,3.5?0.3;MELD,37.3?3.5].The levels of TBIL and INR and MELD score of patients whose MELD scores were higher than 40 [TBIL,(595.6?61.5)?mol/L;INR,3.8?0.4;MELD,39.8?3.5]were lower than before PE treatmem [TBIL, (650.4?66.3)?mol/L;INR,4.4?0.6;MELD,45.2?4.2].The mortality of patients in PE group with MELD score from 30 and 40 was 50.0%,while it was 86.7% in control group,showing significant differ- ence between PE group and control group(P＜0.01).The mortality of patients with MELD scores higher than 40 was 91.2% in PE group and 100% in control group,showing no significant difference between these two groups(P＞0.05).Conclusions Plasma exchange treatment can decrease the serum TBIL level, INR and MELD score of patients with fulminant hepatitis and improve liver function.Compared with the control group,plasma exchange can significantly decrease the mortality of patients in PE group with MELD score from 30 to 40,but no effect on patients with MELD score higher than 40.
