Objective To investigate the effect of sodium ozagrel injection on hemorheology, endothelin (ET) and nitrogen monoxidum (NO) of patients with non-ST segment elevation myocardial infarction (NSEMI). Methods A total of 81 NSEMI patients were divided randomly into two groups: control group and experimental group. Isosorbide mononitrate, low molecular heparin and simvastatin were administered in the control group while sodium ozagrel was added to the experimental group apart from the above-mentioned drugs. The clinical effect of sodium ozagrel was observed. The changes in the indexes of hemorheology, ET and NO were analyzed. Results The clinical effect was significantly better in the experimental group than in the control group (P<0.05). The level of ET was obviously lower after treatment than that in the experimental group and the control group before treatment (P<0.05). The level of NO was obviously higher after treatment than that in the experimental group and the control group before treatment (P<0.05). The changes of ET and NO in the experimental group post-treatment were more significant than those in the control group after-treatment (P<0.05). The level of hemorheology index after treatment was lower than that before treatment in the experimental group (P<0.05). High-shear rate of whole blood viscosity, platelet adherence rate, and fibrin as hemorheology indexes were lower after-treatment than those pretherapy in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Sodium ozagrel injection could affect hemorheology,ET and NO of patients with non-ST segment elevation myocardial infarction. Thefore, the therapeutic efficacy can be better if sodium ozagrel is added to the conventional therapy.

Objective To retrospectively analyze clinical outcomes of brain metastases treated with Cyberknffe. Methods From Aug. 2006 to Aug. 2007, 40 patients with brain metastases treated with Cy-berknife in Tianjin Cancer Hospital were included. Totally 68 brain metastatic lesions were treated. The maximal diameter was 0.4 -7.5 cm (average 1.9 cm). The primary tumor of 35 patients was partial re-ponse or stable to the previous treatment at the diagnosis of brain metastasis. The geometric center of target volume was set as the isocenter and the nominal standard dose point. More than 95% target volume was cov-ered by 80% isodose surface. Hypofractionated radiation was 18 -36 Gy given in 1 -5 fractions of 5 -25 Gy. Results The Follow-up rate was 95%. The clinical symptom remission rate (including complete and partial remission) at one week after Cyberknife treatment was 90% (36/40). The therapeutic effective rate (CR + PR + SD) was 94% (64/68) after three months follow-up, which was evaluated by contrast-en-hanced CT or MRI. The 3-month local control and 1-year survival rates were 78% (53/68) and 68% (27/40). New brain metastatic lesions outside the radiation field occurred in 14 patients within 3 months, which was independent of age, whole brain irradiation, number or maximal diameter of original lesions, frac-tion dose, frequency or total dose of Cyberknife treatment. Conclusions Cyberknife, used as the primary treatment of brain metastases, can achieve good clinical outcomes.

BACKGROUND:Stem cels from the apical papila are a new kind of mesenchymal stem cels, and whether it can
be used in root regeneration is the key to the present study. OBJECTIVE:To culture rat stem cels from the apical papila and periodontal ligament stem celsin vitro, and to compare the biology behaviors of these two kinds of cels, thereby providing experimental basis for the application of stem cels from the apical papila in root regeneration. METHODS:The apical papila, as wel as the periodontal ligament tissues from the healthy mandibular teeth of young rats were digested and cultured. Immunophenotypes of stem cels from the apical papila and periodontal ligament stem cels were detected by immunofluorescence technique. Then, cel growth curves were determined by MTT method and mineralized nodule formation was observed by alizarin red staining. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Stem cels from the apical papila and periodontal ligament stem cels were both positive for STRO-1. Stem cels from the apical papila were positive for CD90 and weakly positive for CD146. Periodontal ligament stem cels were positive for CD146 and weakly positive for CD90. The absorbance values of stem cels from the apical papila and periodontal ligament stem cels increased with the increasing of time and became stable at 8 days. Since the 4th day, the proliferation capacity of stem cels from the apical papila was significantly stronger than that of periodontal ligament stem cels (P < 0.05). Both of stem cels are visible to have mineralized nodule formation. Compared with the periodontal ligament stem cels, stem cels from the apical papila were stained obviously deeper and had more mineralized nodules. These results show that stem cels from the apical papila have stronger proliferation capacity and mineralization ability than periodontal ligament stem cels. Methyl valerate (MVA) pathway is one of the important ways for synthesis of terpenoids. This study was based on data of the transcriptome sequencing of Magnolia officinalis, the associated genes MoACOT, MoHMGS, MoHMGR, MoMK in methyl valerate (MVA) pathway, were completed in detail by using bioinformatics methods. The results of analysis showed that MoACOT and MoMK were stable hydrophobic proteins, MoHMGS and MoHMGR were unstable hydrophobic protein. The secondary structures of all proteins were hybrid architecture, and alpha helical were the major motifs. There were no clear transmembrane domains in MoACOT, MoHMGS and MoMK, but two transmembrane domains were founded in MoHMGR which were from 39-61 aa and 82-104 aa resepectively. The results of evolutionary relationship analysis showed that MoACOT, MoHMGS, MoHMGR and MoMK had relative close relationship to angiosperm or dicotyledonous plants, and accorded with genetic evolution rule. From transcriptome data, transcripted level of MoACOT, MoHMGS, MoHMGR, MoMK in M. officinalis and M. officinalis var. biloba was not significantly different. The result provided theoretical reference for study on Methyl valerate (MVA) pathway of terpenoid of M. officinalis.
