Shenfu injection is a common clinical medicine. To explore the common clinical medical combinations with Shenfu injection the real world, 25 704 patients who used Shenfu injection were selected from the hospital information system (HIS) database established by Clinical and Basic Research Institute for Traditional Chinese Medicine of China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences. The association rules were applied in a correlation analysis on common medical combinations with Shenfu injection in the patients. According to the findings, when Shenfu injection was combined with a single medicine in clinic, the ratio of using Omeprazole, Lidocaine or Furosemide were respectively 22.19%, 20.32%, 19.61%; when Shenfu injection was combined with two medicines, the top three medical combinations were respectively midazolam + omeprazole (11.01%), lidocaine + omeprazole (10.8%) and propofol + midazolam (10.76%); when Shenfu injection was combined with three medicines, the top three medical combinations were respectively propofol + fentany + midazolam (8.83%), remifentanil + propofol + midazolam (8.77% ) and propofol + midazolam + omeprazole (8.77%). According to the further analysis, the combination of Shenfu injection and Propofol + Fentany + Midazolam may reduce the incidence of hypotension and bradycardia during anesthesia, accelerate recovery after anesthesia and relieve the synergistic effect after anesthesia. The combination of Shenfu injection and furosemide may show the synergistic effect in treating the acute left ventricular failure by reducing the returned blood volume and increasing the myocardial contractile force and vitality. The combination of Shenfu injection and Omeprazole may play the synergistic effect in shortening the digestive tract ulcer healing time, reducing the ulcer recurrence and preventing hemorrhagic shock and stress ulcer caused by shock in treating ulcer hemorrhage.

2.Effects of ear point needle embedding therapy on memory disorder and expression of beta-amyloid protein in the rat of vascular dementia.
Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion 2006;26(11):804-808
OBJECTIVETo study the mechanism of auricular acupuncture for improvement of learning and memory disorders in the rat of vascular dementia (VD).
METHODSThe vascular dementia rat model was made by 4-vessel occlusion method. Four groups, a sham operation group, a normal control group, a model group and an auricular acupuncture group were set up. After acupuncture was given at auricular points, Brain and Kidney. Immunohistochemical analysis, behavioural observation and computer image analysis were made.
RESULTSAuricular acupuncture could decrease significantly the beta-amyloid protein (A beta) immunoreactivive neurons and increase its average optical density in the parietal cortex of the VD rats (P < 0.05).
CONCLUSIONAuricular acupuncture can reduce or inhibit the over-production of Abeta in the brain, so as to improve the learning and memory capacity of the VD model rat.

The recombinaut porcine insulin precursor(PIP)produced by Pichia pastoris in shake-flask and 501.fermenter was investigated respectively. The results indicated that 60h induction time length and 2.0%~2.5% methanol addition every day was optimum in shake- flask. The process in 50L fermenter was consisted of batch,feed-batch and induction phases. The relationship between dry cell weight(y) and culture time (t) in growth phase(batch and feed-batch phase)could be described by model y=0.6525e~(0.1907t).Glycerol and ammonia were almost used for cell growth and maintain, and no by-product was observed in batch and fed-batch phase Only 80% ammonia and 70% methanol were used by cell in induction phase.By comparison the results of shake-flask and 50L fermenter,it was concluded that the limit- ing factor in the fermentation of shake-flask and 50L fermenter was dissolved oxygen(DO)and.carbon source, respectively. When scaling the result of shake-flask to 501.fermenter,the control strategy was adapted for 50L fermenter by increasing the feed rate of methanol and the maximum PIP concentration reached 1.72 g/L.

Acta Physiologica Sinica 2001;53(1):72-74
Hypoxic preconditioning with different simulated altitudes (3?000 m and 5?000 m) was performed on Wistar rats and the evoked population spikes were recorded from the hippocampal slices of these rats. The results showed that the appearance of hypoxic injury potential (HIP) and the disappearance of presynaptic volley (PV) were significantly delayed in response to acute lethal hypoxia. HIP and PV delay became more apparent when the hypoxic preconditioning altitude was increased from 3?000 m to 5?000 m. After reoxygenation, the recovery rate of PV in hypoxic preconditioning groups at 3?000 m and 5?000 m was apparently higher than that of control. The above results suggest that hypoxic preconditioning of animals in vivo increases hypoxic tolerance of hippocampal neurons.

Objective:
High mobility group box 3 (HMGB3) plays an important role in the development of various cancer. This study aims to explore whether HMGB3 regulates cervical cancer (CC) progression and elucidate the underlying mechanism.
Methods:
HMGB3 expression in clinical patients' tumor samples were determined by real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) and western blot. HMGB3 overexpression/knockdown were used to investigate its function. Cell apoptosis and cycle were detected by Annexin V/PI staining and flow cytometry. In vivo tumor model was made by subcutaneous injection of HeLa cells transfected with shRNAs targeting HMGB3 (shHMGB31) into the flank area of nude mice. Western blot was used to detect the levels of β-catenin, c-Myc, and matrix metalloproteinase-7 (MMP-7) in Hela and CaSki cells transfected with sh-HMGB3 or shRNAs targeting β-catenin.
Results:
Both messenger RNA and protein levels of HMGB3 were upregulated in CC tissues from patients. High expression level of HMGB3 had positive correlation with serosal invasion, lymph metastasis, and tumor sizes in CC patient. Functional experiments showed that HMGB3 could promote CC cell proliferation both in vitro and in vivo. The expression levels of c-Myc and MMP-7 were increased, resulting in regulating cell apoptosis, cell cycle, and activating Wnt/β-catenin pathway.
Conclusions
Our data indicated that HMGB3 may serve as an oncoprotein. It could be used as a potential prognostic marker and represent a promising therapeutic strategy for CC treatment.

OBJECTIVETo study the reconstructive effect of the dissociate bone flap to repair the macrosis depressed skull fracture on the frontal and orbit part.
METHODSThe coronal scalp flap was elevated and dissociate bone flap was expanding to the 2cm width beside the edge of depressed skull fracture. The first step was to extract the dissociate bone flap and make there is an area for operating . Then extract free bone fragments, and elevate the depressed orbital lamina and use the biological glue to stick it to its position. The free fragments extracted were stacked into a whole one and it to its position in use of the biological glue on the dissociate bone flap. The uneven inner table should was smoother with bon-wax. The prosthetic dissociate bone flap was put back on its position and fixation.
RESULTSFrom January 2000 to December 2004, 17 cases of the macrosis depressed skull fracture on the frontal and orbit part undertaken plastic surgery by the dissociate bone flap to treat the macrosis depressed skull fracture and obtained excellent curative effect.
CONCLUSIONSUsing dissociate bone flap to treat the mocrosis depressed skull fracture on the frontal and orbit part can avoid the complication of the traditional operation, and make the method become a plastic surgical operation.
