Objective:To establish an HPLC method for the determination of gallic acid,quercetin and kaempferol in Gongyanping capsules. Methods:HPLC was applied with the chromatographic conditions as follows: The chromatographic column was Agilent-SB C18 (250 mm × 4. 6 mm,5 μm) at 30℃; the mobile phrase was methanol-0. 3% phosphoric acid solution with gradient elution; the flow rate was 1. 0 ml·min-1. Results: The linearity relationship of gallic acid, quercetin and kaempferol was within the range of 98.200-491.00 μg·ml-1(r=0.999 9), 7.520-37.600 μg·ml-1(r=0.999 9) and 4.940-24.700 μg·ml-1(r=0.999 9), re-spectively;the average recovery was 96. 74%(RSD=1. 33%), 98. 18%(RSD=1. 70%) and 97. 04%(RSD=1. 28%),respective-ly. Conclusion:The method is simple, accurate and repeatable.

Objective To investigate the clinical effects of VATS lobectomy and VATS segmentectomy in the treatment of old age patients with non small cell lung cancer for stage Ⅰ.Methods 140 patients with non small cell lung cancer for stage Ⅰ were chosen and randomly divided into two group including group A(70 patients)with VATS lobectomy and group B(70 patients)with VATS segmentectomy;and the perioperative clinical indicators,level of lung function and CRP before and after operation and survival rate with follow-up of both groups were compared.Results The operation time,intraoperative blood loss amount,chest drainage volume and time and hospitalization staying time of group B[(118.15±33.61)min,(59.25±10.61)ml,(641.56±135.17)ml,(3.42±0.77)d and(5.08±1.32)d] were significantly better than group A[(135.33±40.10)min,(83.33±14.15)ml,(783.89±180.61)ml、(4.38±0.94)d和(6.52±1.58)d](P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the number of lymph node dissection between group A(12.67±2.64)and group B(12.38±2.58)(P<0.05).The levels of FVC and FEV1 after operation of group B was significantly higher than group A(P<0.05).The levels of CRP after operation of group B was significantly lower than group A(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the 1 year survival rate with follow-up between group A(94.29%)and group B(94.29%)(P>0.05).Conclusion Compared with VATS lobectomy,VATS segmentectomy in the treatment of old age patients with non small cell lung cancer for stage Ⅰ can efficiently reduce surgical trauma degree,accelerate the recovery process of body,protect the lung ventilation function and be helpful to reduce the inflammatory response levels.

Objective To understand the attitude of health workers towards people living with HIV and AIDS(PLWHA) and AIDS knowledge and desire for related training among them in selected hospitals in Beijing.Method Convenience sampling was used to select health workers from 32 hospitals of different levels in 4 districts within Beijing.Anonymous self-administrated questionnaires were used to collect the information regarding AIDS knowledge and desire for relevant training.Results A total of 1 292 health workers completed the questionnaire.They demonstrated a moderate level of general AIDS knowledge,but a low level of knowledge related to AIDS diagnosis and therapy.Of them 39.7% had received specialized AIDS training and 96% had strongly desire for such specialized training.Most health workers sympathized with PLWHA and understood their situation,while some of them were afraid of PLWHA and wanted to have minimal contact with PLWHA.91.3% of the health workers expressed that PLWHA should have the same rights to medical services.At the same time,49.2% of the health workers stated that they would not like to work in hospitals or departments which accepted PLWHA.80% of the health workers expressed concern over acquiring HIV infection in the workplace.52.7% of them thought that they had a risk of becoming infected in the workplace.Conclusion The level of AIDS knowledge among health workers in Beijing needs to be improved.Specialized training to enhance and develop health workers knowledge of prevention,diagnosis and treatment of AIDS is required.Most of the health workers do not discriminate against PLWHA,but they express concern over infection in the workplace.

Objective To evaluate the risk of cardiovascular adverse events using nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs during the perioperative period.Methods A systematic review of formally published in English and Chinese literature was conducted by using computerized database on PubMed, Web of Science, Medline, Cochrane Library, CNKI and Wanfang database.The literature about controlled clinical study of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs in perioperative use, a prospective cohort study and a retrospective review were collected.The cardiovascular risk was evaluated by the number of adverse cardiovascular events cases (myocardial infarction, angina, myocardial ischemia, arrhythmia) occurred during the period of drug use.The relevant data was extracted and their heterogeneity was tested.Results A total of 8 articles including 15 623 patients met the inclusion criteria, including 5 articles (n=13 019) on non-selective nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, and 3 articles (n=2 604) about selective (cyclooxygenase 2) COX-2 inhibitors.Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs used in the perioperative or a short term would reduce the risk of adverse cardiovascular events (OR=0.59, 95%CI 0.45-0.77, P=0.000 1), non-selective nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs using in the perioperative or a short term would reduce the risk of adverse cardiovascular events, the difference being statistically significant (OR=0.42, 95%CI 0.31-0.58, P＜0.001).A selective COX-2 inhibitor using in the perioperative or short-term might increase cardiovascular adverse events (OR=2.53, 95%CI 1.26-5.09, P=0.009).Conclusion Non-selective nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs should be chosen for patients at high risk of adverse cardiovascular events during the perioperative period.

All of the thrombolytic agents currently approved for use in humans are plasminogen activators, the application of which is limited by bleeding complications at vascular injury sites and plasminogen content in the thrombus. Plasmin is rapidly neutral-ized in the circulation by α2-antiplasmin and tolerated without bleeding. With the application of catheter-based delivery, the unique bio-chemical properties of plasmin make it a safe and effective direct fibrinolytics. Plasmin derivatives, including miniplasmin,Δ-plasmin and microplsmin, display more thrombolysis efficacy and better hemostatic safety in preclinical study and clinical trials. This review sum-marizes the current information on plasmin and its derivatives, including the advances on biochemical properties, preclinical and clinical trials.

Objective To describe nursing assistants' experience of caring for dementia patients with behavioral symptoms.Methods A descriptive qualitative design was used in this study.Twelve nursing assistants for dementia patients were recruited.A semi-structured interview was used to collect the data.The interview was related to nursing assistants' experience of caring for patients with behavioral symptoms.Content analysis was used to explicate the meaning of the interview data.Results Three themes were extracted:having multiple stressors; learning by practice; seeking mutual support from other nursing assistants.Conclusions Nursing assistants had multiple stressors from caring dementia patients with behavioral symptoms.Continuing supply of training on strategies of coping with behavioral symptoms as well as the emotional support are especially required.

Diabetic nephropathy is one of the most serious complications of diabetes mellitus and it seriously endangers people's health.Some previous studies indicate that the occurrence and development of diabetic nephropathy is not positively associated with control of blood glucose and course of disease,Its development has family aggregation and ethnic differences.In addition to environmental factors,genetic factors play an important role in the process of occurrence and development of diabetic nephropathy,Many genetic mutations can lead to a high degree of susceptibility to diabetic nephropathy.Discovery of some related genes of diabetic nephropathy and elucidation of these genes function provide an effective means in the early diagnosis,gene therapy and individualized drug therapy of diabetic nephropathy.In this review the action and function of discovered related genes of diabetic nephropathy are summarized.
