BACKGROUND: Surgery is a main method to reconstruct the stability of spine after compression fracture. But the reconstruction of spinal stability for patients undergoing conventional therapy remains unclear.OBJECTIVE: To explore whether spinal stability training is effective on improving pain and motor function of patients with vertebral osteoporotic fractures.METHODS: Patients with vertebral osteoporotic fractures were divided into two groups. The study group was treated with conventional treatments and individualized spinal stabilization training, while the control group received conventional treatments alone. All the subjects were evaluated before and after treatment by numeric pain rating scale (NPRS), 3-meter timed up and go (TUG) and Oswestry functional limitation index (OFLI). The results were compared between the two groups.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: A total of 27 patients were included, including 16 patients in the study group and 11 in the control group. After 4-week treatment, TUG and OFLI in the study group decreased significantly compared with the control group (P < 0.05). But there was no statistical significance between the two groups in the level of NPRS and the amount of changes (P > 0.05). Symptoms and function of both groups were improved after treatments. Individualized spinal stability training is effective to restore the motor function and may be helpful for reducing pain for patients with vertebral osteoporotic fractures combined with conventional treatments.

Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2015;(15):2351-2355
BACKGROUND:With the development of microsurgical techniques, free flap transplantation has been widely used, which can solve the problem of insufficient local tissues.
OBJECTIVE:To observe the clinical effects of latissimus dorsi free flap transfer on the repair of al kinds of body surface defects, as wel as the role in complete tissue and functional reconstruction.
METHODS:From 2010 to 2013, 18 cases of various types of body surface defects were selected and using the microsurgical techniques, these complex wounds were repaired with free latissimus dorsi myocutaneous flaps. According to defect reason, primary wounds were treated for arteriovenous separation in the recipient zone. Most of the flaps were latissimus dorsi myocutaneous flaps at the affected side which were cut according to the wound size. If the cut muscle flap had a larger size and secondary wounds were difficult to be directly sutured, free skin grafts could be used to cover the residual secondary wounds.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:After transplantation, al the flaps survived with normal blood supply and wel-recovered function. Patients were more satisfied with the flap appearance. Latissimus dorsi myocutaneous flaps characterized as large donor area and secluded location have a great advantage in the repair of complex wounds using microsurgical techniques that can improve the survival rate of latissimus dorsi myocutaneous flaps.

Chinese Journal of Clinical Nutrition 2016;24(2):115-120
Objective To evaluate the accuracy of different methods in detecting free amino acids in plasma.Method 40 blood samples from healthy volunteers were analyzed by an automatic amino acid analyzer ( Li+system) and the results compared with previous reports using other analyzers. Results The results ob-tained by this analyzer for major amino acids [asparagine (Asn), glutamic acid (Glu), glutamine (Gln), valine (Val), tyrosine (Tyr), phenylalanine (Phe), ornithine (Orn), arginine (Arg)] were similar with those previously reported using other amino acid analyzers ( all P>0.05 ) and liquid chromatography tandem-mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) (all P>0.05).Except for Glu and Tyr, the results for major amino acids showed large deviation compared to the results from high performance liquid chromatography ( HPLC) ( all P<0.05).Conclusion The amino acid analyzer (Li+) and LC-MS/MS (iTRAQ kit) could accurately detect free amino acids in plasma.

Objective To explore the clinical significance of Ezrin and β?catenin in breast cancer. Methods Immunohistochemical staining method was adopted to detect Ezrin and β?catenin protein expression level in 145 cases of breast cancer tissues, and their correlation with clinical data and prognosis of breast cancer was analyzed. Results Ezrin was expressed in 70 cases(48.3%),β?catenin was expressed in 82 cases (56.6%),and there was significantly negative correlation(r=0.267,P=0.001). The higher histologic grade of breast cancer, the higher expres?sion level of Ezrin(P=0.007),and the lower expression level of β?catenin(P<0.001). Ezrin expression level was increased significantly(P=0.027),but β?catenin expression level was reduced significantly(P=0.011)in lymph node positive breast cancer tissue. Ezrin expression was sig?nificantly correlated with shorter overall survival(P=0.004)and disease free survival(P=0.017)of breast cancer patients, but β?catenin expres?sion was significantly correlated with longer overall survival(P<0.001)and disease free survival(P=0.001)of breast cancer patients. However , Ezrin and β?catenin were not the independent risk factors of breast cancer patients as determined by multivariate Cox regression. Conclusion Ez?rin was significantly negative correlated with β?catenin in breast cancer. They play a role in the progression and poor prognosis of breast cancer , which can be used as breast cancer treatment targets.

Objective To analyse the clinical manifestations of mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia(MPP) with 23SrRNA A2063G gene mutation, and improve the ability of diagnosis and treatment of patient infected with MPP.Methods MP-DNA was detected by fluorescent quantitative real-time PCR in sputum specimens from 36 children with MPP,then we detected the drug resistance gene mutation sites by nest-PCR and DNA sequencing,on this basis we classified into two groups of macrolide-resistant MP and macrolide-sensitive MP,and compared the clinical manifestations, laboratory findings, chest imagings and treatment between two groups. Results Of these 36 cases of MPP,24 cases had macrolide-resistant gene mutation with an A2063G transition in domain V of the 23SrRNA,12 cases had no macrolide-resistant gene mutation.Compared to macrolide-sensitive MP group,macrolide-resistant MP group had longer hospitalization duration, longer total cough period, longer total febrile period, longer fever duration after macrolide therapy, longer course of disease, and had higher white blood cells counts and CRP.In the macrolide-resistant MP group, the temperature subsided within 5 days after macrolide treatment alone of 12 cases,3 cases needed switch to fluoroquinolones therapy,10 cases combined with glucocorticoids and 6 cases combined with intravenous immunoglobulin, all 24 patients had good outcomes. While in macrolide-sensitive MP group, the temperature susided between 12 hours to 3 days after macrolide treatment of 8 cases. Conclusions Compared to patients infected by macrolide-sensitive MP,those mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia patients with 23SrRNA A2063G gene mutation have longer hospitalization duration, longer total cough period, longer total febrile period, longer fever duration after macrolide therapy, longer course of disease, and have higher white blood cells counts and CRP.Some macrolide-resistant MPP patients have good response to macrolide antibiotics treatment, while the severe cases need combined with glucocorticoids and immunoglobulin,or should change antibiotics.

AIM: To explore the influence of CD47 molecules on the maturation and function of cultured dendritic cells (DCs). METHODS: Monocyte cell-derived DCs were propagated in granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF) and lipopolysaccharide (LPS) plus interleukin (IL)-4, in the presence or absence of anti CD47 monoclonal antibodies (anti-CD47 mAbs). Flow cytometry was used to detect the cell surface phenotype. The concentration of IL-12P70 in supernatant was measured by ELISA technique. The antigen-presenting functions of DCs were determined in one-way mixed leukocyte reaction by Brdu-ELISA. Electrophoretic mobility shift assays (EMSA) was used to examine NF-?B activity. RESULTS: The anti-CD47 mAbs markedly suppressed the expression of CD80,CD86,CD83,CD1a,HLA-DR on the surface of DCs (P
