Objective This objective of the study was to analyze the factors related to being recaptured and condom use among low-fee female sex workers (FSWs) to provide reference in developing human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) intervention strategy. Methods Physical examination certificates were designed by Zhongshan County Center for Disease Control and Prevention to record HIV and syphilis test results for low-fee FSWs from 2013 to 2015. Low-fee FSWs were asked to show physical examination certificates in the next intervention and test. Multivariate Logistic regression was used to analyze factors associated with being captured with physical examination certificates. Generalized linear mixed model was used to analyze factors associated with condom use with clients. Results A total of 220 low-fee FSWs were recruited by using physical examination certificates and received 389 interviews from 2013 to 2015. The proportions of HIV positive and syphilis positive were 4.2% (9/213) and 30.0% (64/213) respectively among those who had HIV and syphilis test. Results of multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that low-fee FSWs who had been FSWs for more than 4 years (OR=2.95, 95% CI：1.35-6.45), and worked in the local county in the past 30 days (OR=11.74, 95% CI: 5.26-26.20), were more likely to be captured with physical examination certificates. Results of generalized linear mixed model showed that those who were captured at least once (OR=3.33, 95% CI: 1.34-8.27), had junior middle school education and above (OR=22.79, 95% CI: 3.75-138.57), had high HIV knowledge (OR=3.57, 95% CI: 1.52-8.38), and charged more than 30 yuan for vaginal sex (OR=30.68, 95% CI: 12.57-74.90), were more likely to use condom consistently. Conclusions Physical examination certificates could be used for low-fee FSWs surveillance and intervention and tracking their HIV and syphilis status. The intervention strategy should take these into consideration.

In order to meet the requirements of ultrasound bone density measurement, we proposed a software solution to improve the accuracy and speed of measurement of bone mineral density of the ultrasound bone densitometer. We used a high-speed USB interface chip FT232H, along with a high-speed AD converter chip to calculate speed of sound (SOS), broadband ultrasound attenuation (BUA ) and other bone density parameters in the PC software. This solution improved the accuracy of the measurement data, reduced the measurement time and increased the quality of the displayed image. It is well concluded that the new software can greatly improve the accuracy and transmission speed of bone density measurement data through a high-speed USB interface and a software data processing technology.

Objective To investigate the radiosensitizing effect of 17AAG-cypate micelles on human non-small cell lung cancer A549 cells and its possible mechanism.Methods (1) A single-hit multi-target model formula was used to analyze the radiosensitizing effects of 17AAG-M and 17AAG-cypate-M.(2) The effects of 17AAG-cypate-M on the viability of A549 cells under laser and X-ray irradiation were analyzed by MTT assay.(3) The effect of the drugs on the cell senescence was observed by β-galactosidase staining assay.(4) The effects of different treatment conditions on DNA damage repair were analyzed by γ-H2AX immunofluorescence staining assay.(5) The expression of p-Erk1/2 and p-Akt was measured by Western blot.The paired t test was used for analyzing the differences between groups.Results Compared with the X-ray irradiation group,the X-ray+17AAG-cypate-M group had a lower mean lethal dose and a sensitization enhancement ratio greater than 1,indicating that 17AAG-cypate-M had a radiosensitizing effect.Compared with the 17AAG-M group,the 17AAG-cypate-M group showed significantly lower cell viability (P<0.01),a significantly higher percentage of aging cells (P<0.01),and significantly further delayed DNA damage repair (P<0.01).And the 17AAG-cypate-M group had lower expression of p-Erk1/2 and p-Akt than the 17AAG-M group.Conclusions Compared with 17AAG-M,17AAG-cypate-M has a higher radiosensitizing effect on A549 cells.The mechanism might be inducing the cell senescence,delaying DNA damage repair,and inhibiting the expression of p-Erk1/2 and p-Akt.

Objective To investigate the mastery degree of GCP (Good Clinical Practice) in Guang’anmen Hospital of China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences (hereinafter referred to as“Guang’anmen Hospital”). Methods Totally 338 clinical researchers, covering 18 clinical professional sections and medical clinical trial institutions, in Guang’anmen Hospital with both qualification of clinical trials and GCP certificate were investigated in 23th-27th June 2014. The investigation was in the written answer sheet form, including four noun explanations and 36 multiple choice questions, which were related to GCP. Results 338 researchers could accurately explain the concepts of 4 nouns, and 57 (16.86%) researchers could do all multiple choice questions correctly. 141 (41.72%) researchers chose 1 wrong answer and 89 (26.33%) researchers chose 2 wrong answers. 39 (11.54%) researchers failed to answer 3-4 questions. Only 12 (3.55%) researchers failed to answer 5 or more questions. Conclusion The mastery degree of clinical researchers with qualification of clinical trials and GCP certificate in Guang’anmen Hospital is satisfied. In the future, pertinence and diverse training should be strengthened, in order to improve the overall level of the mastery degree of GCP.

Objective To explore the correlation between MSCT perfusion parameters and biologic characters in nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC),and to investigate the clinical utility of MSCT perfusion for NPC.Methods Nasopharynx in 49 cases was studied using MSCT perfusion imaging,including 30 NPC cases before radiotherapy,14 post-radiotherapy NPC cases,and 5 cases of normal nasopharynx as controls. Objective To evaluate the application value of hyperinsulinemic euglycemic clamp in the diagnosis and treatment of newly-onset diabetic patients. Methods Totally 11 newly-onset diabetic inpatients (10 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and 1 patient with latent autoimmune diabetes of adulthood) who were diagnosed in the Department of Endocrinology of Peking Union Medical College Hospital from January 2009 to August 2009 were included in this study. Hyperinsulinemic euglycemic clamp was applied to measure the glucose disposal rate (M value). Afterwards insulin pump therapy was applied and the total insulin dosage per day to get to the target of the fasting and postprandial blood glucose was calculated. Final]y the relationships between insulin dosage per day and the M value, body mass index (BMI) , fasting blood glucose, fasting insulin level were separately analyzed. Results The insulin dosage was only negatively correlated with M value (r = - 0. 83, P = 0. 003), and was not significantly correlated with BMI (r = 0.54, P = 0.106), fasting blood glucose (r = - 0. 16, P =0. 657) , and fasting insulin (r = 0. 16, P = 0. 659).
