Melanin is a kind of biopolymer, composed of a complex quinine/indole-quinone derived mixture which is produced in melanocytes from tyrosine. More than 100 genes related to melanin deposition have been found in mouse. Slc24a5 (solute carrier family 24, member 5) is a novel gene first cloned in zebrafish. And it has been confirmed that the Slc24a5 is involved in controlling the melanin deposition in zebrafish. Here the full length of the chicken slc24a5 mRNA sequence, its expression profile and a discussion of its relationship to melanin deposition in chicken were reported. Chicken Slc254a5 has a CDS of 1 269bp, predicting a protein of 423 amino acids which is about 80 amino acids shorter than in human and mouse. It has 9 exons and 8 introns and spans more than 1lkb of genome sequence. The quantitative real-time PCR confirmed that the chicken Slc24a5 was highly expressed in the eye of White Leghorn and Beijing Fatty Chickens, and in the eye, skin and muscle of Silky. The relative expression in Silky eye is more than two times that of White Leghorn. The relative expression in Silky skin is about 70 times that of White Leghorn and about 15 times that of Beijing Fatty Chickens. The relative expression in Silky muscle is about 15 times that of White Leghorn and about 3 times that of Beijing Fatty Chickens. And the expression result is in accordance with the melanocyte and melanin deposition in these tissues.

Journal of Practical Stomatology 1995;0(04):-
97 cases of jaw bone fractures were treated with rigid internal fixation.16 cases had malocclusion postoperation. The etiology was analyzed and the prevention methods were proposed.Intermaxillary elastic traction or fixation and craniomaxillofacial fixation or craniomentum elastic traction were performed to treat the malocclusion.By this way,14 cases were cured.1 case was operated again to resume the normal occlusion,1 case received occlusal adjustment.Incomplete reduction, incorrect operative performance, deficiency of postoperative intermaxillary fixation and incorrect intermaxillary fixation were the main causes to malocclusion. So anatomic in time reduction, correct operative performance, intermaxillary fixation, application of craniomaxillofacial fixation or craniomentum elastic traction instead of intermaxillary fixation for some special cases are effective methods to correct postoperative malocclusion.
5.Expression of CD117, CD34, SMA, S-100 protein, Vim and desmin in patients with gastrointestinal stromal tumors.
Journal of Southern Medical University 2008;28(3):438-440
OBJECTIVETo investigate the clinicopathological diagnosis and expressions of CD117, CD34, SMA, S-100 protein, Vimentin(Vim) and desmin in gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs).
METHODSA retrospective analysis of the clinical data and the results of various examinations was conducted among 35 patients with pathologically confirmed GISTs undergoing surgical resection. The expressions of CD117, CD34, SMA, S-100, Vim and desmin in the tumor tissues were detected by immunohistochemistry with SP method.
RESULTSIn these GIST cases, the tumors were located mostly in the stomach (n=11), small intestines (n=11), and abdominal cavity (n=5). The main clinical manifestations included abdominal distension, abdominal pain, gastrointestinal bleeding, and abdominal masses. The positivity rates of CD117 and CD34 in the tumors were 94.3% and 91.4%, respectively, both significantly higher than those of SMA, S-100, Vim and Desmin (P<0.001), and also higher than that in leiomyoma (P<0.0001). The positivity rate of Desmin was only 2.9% in the tumors, significantly lower than those of CD117 and CD34 (P<0.05) and that in liomyoma (P<0.001).
CONCLUSIONSGISTs occur mostly in the stomach and small intestines, and endoscopy, ultrasound endoscope and CT examination are effective modalities for diagnosis of GISTs. A definite diagnosis of GISTs can be established in the presence of positive expression of CD117 and CD34 and negative expression of Desmin in the tumor.

This study aims to perform a survey of genetic variation in neuraminidase (NA) gene of influenza A/H3N2 virus, as well as related resistance to NA inhibitors, in Qinghai Province of China, 2010 to 2012. Strains of influenza A/H3N2 isolated during an influenza survey from 2010 to 2012 in Qinghai were enrolled by random sampling. Viral RNA was extracted and amplified by RT-PCR. Purified PCR products were sequenced thereafter. Genetic analysis of nucleic acid and the derived amino acid sequences was performed by MEGA 4.0. Phylogenetic trees were also constructed. Strains isolated during 2010-2011 in this study clustered closely with World Health Organization (WHO) 2010-2012 reference vaccine strain A/Perth/16/2009 and 2008-2010 reference vaccine strain A/Brisbane/10/2007 on the phylogenetic tree, while the 2012 isolates were located on another branch. In analysis of derived amino acid sequences, the 2010 isolates mutated at K81T, the 2011 isolates mutated at I26V and D127N, while the 2012 isolates mutated at E41K, P46A, I58V, T71N, L81P, D93G, D127N, D151N, and I307M. The D151N mutation added a glycosylation site to the activity center of NA. No significant variation was discovered in H3N2 NA gene of 2010-2011 isolates in Qinghai, China. Isolates of 2012 were found with significant mutation, which has the potential of inducing minor resistance to NA inhibitors like zanamivir and oseltamivir.

The genotypes of extended spectrum β-laetamases(ESBLs) and AmpC β-lactamases produced by Enterococcus gallinarum isolated from chloebia gouldiae were determined to elucidate the evolution mechanism of the resistant genes. The minimum inhibitory concentrations (MICs) of 18 antibacterial drugs against the Enterococcus gallinarum were detected with two dilution method, and the ESBLs and AmpC β-lactamases from the bacterium were amplified by PCR using the primers of TEM,SHV,CTX-M,ACC,CIT,DHA,EBC,FOX and MOX,respectively. The PCR products were cloned and then the cloned fragments were sequenced to identify their genotypes and subtypes. The bacterium was proved to be a ESBL-producing and AmpC β-lactamase-producing bacterium, showing severe resistant to the other drugs, except the third and forth cephalosporins, carbopenems and fosfomycin.Compared with that of AJ847364 (TEM-116),the sequence of the TEM-type was characterized by two nucleotide mutations (512T→A and 695A→C),which led to two mutations of amino acids(17111e→Lys and 232Lys→Thr),showing that the detected TEM-type was a new genotype, the sequence of the AmpC β-lactamase was similar to that of EF078894 (ACT-like type)with a 97% homology. The genotype of ESBLs of Enterococcus gallinarum was a new TEM-type derived from the TEM-type ESBLs of klebstella pneumoniae isolated from the same avian. The genotype of AmpC lactamase was ACT-type,which probably concerned with β-1actam antibiotics used.

Objective Because of the major trauma from thoracotomy , postoperative pain may arouse patients'psychological and physiological stress response and hence affected the treatment outcome and functional recovery seriously .We retrospectively studied the correlation between the staging of pain and nursing interference to investigate the effect of nursing interference on the pain intensity after thoracic surgery . Methods Five hundred and eighty cases of patients surviving thoracotomy between December 2013 and March 2014 in Nanjing Jingling Hospital were reviewed .Correlations between comfortable nursing measures such as effective analgesia , postural care , catheter care , environmental interventions , psychological intervention and the standard assessment of pain were analysed according to postoperative pain stage . Results With comprehensive nursing interference , the highest pain score occurred in the first 24 hour (2.89 ±0.39).The score was reduced gradually to 2.25 ±0.90 in stage Ⅱ, 1.58 ±0.57 in stage Ⅲ and 1.06 ±0.24 in stage Ⅳrespectively . Conclusion Comprehensive nursing interference according to pain staging may relieve pain effectively after thoracotomy .
