The cultivation of clinical skills is essential for graduate education in modern ophthalmology. In order to improve the quality of graduate education and cultivate qualified ophthalmologist, postgraduates should be trained of specific purpose, coordinate the relationship between project research and clinical work, a complete clinical training system and quality control system should be established and the construction of the tutor team should also be strengthened.

Acta Anatomica Sinica 1957;0(04):-
The angioarchitecture of both anterior and posterior central gyri of thirty human brains was studied by means of scanning electron microscopy, double injection method and alkaline phosphatase method. The study was divided into two parts. (a) Pial vessels: The branching pattern of pial arteries on the gyrus surface could be classified into 4 types. Type Ⅰ (bilateral branching type) accounted for 44.44% of the total, type Ⅱ (unilateral branching) 17.99%, type Ⅲ (comb-like) 16.93% and type Ⅳ (irregular) 20.63%. Each gyrus was supplied by several main branches, forming various areas separated by poorly vascularized lines. Two types of anastomoses (general and straight anastomoses) were found. (b) Intracerebral vessels: based on the degree of their penetration, intracerebral arteries and veins were divided into 5 groups, respectively. They were short, intermediate and long cortical, subcortical and medullary vessels. Arteries gave off forward, horizontal and recurrent branches. There were more long cortical arteries in the anterior central gyrus and more intermediate arteries in the posterior. The arteries were not accompanied by veins. Though rich blood supply was found in layer Ⅲ-Ⅳ, there was a broad vascular network with large meshes in layer Ⅴ and Ⅵ in the anterior central gyrus. Problems in distinguishing arteries from veins and particular vascular features were discussed.

Chinese Journal of Immunology 1986;0(04):-
Objective:To analyze the gene polymorphisms at code 54 of exon 1 in mannose-binding lectin(MBL) gene and the palsma MBL concentrations in Mongols and Huis in China. Methods:MBL plasma concentrations were measured by ELISA method with human MBL ELISA kit,Single nucleotide polymorphisms of MBL gene were determined with sequence analysis method.Geneticanalysis was deployed with SHEsis software, and the statistics package for social science,SPSS11.0 was used in the study. Results:The median values of MBL plasma in 79 Mongols and 69 Huis were 1 686 ng/ml and 1 909 ng/ml respectively and no significant difference was found between them(Z=0.63,P=0.4).In 79 Mongols, the variant allele frequencies of the codon 54 of MBL gene was 0.203,62.0% of the 79 cases were A/A exon type, while 35.4% were A/B type and 2.50% were B/B type instead. In all 69 Huis, the variant allele frequencies was 0.268,58.0% of 40 cases were A/A exon type, while 30.4% were A/B type and 11.6% were B/B type instead. The frequency of point mutation at +230 site was 0.203.No significant difference of variant allele frequencies was found between the Mongols and Huis nationalities(?2=1.772,P=0.183).Neither C nor D exon type were found in the study. The A/A wild type was associated with the highest plasma concentration with median values, the A/B type was associated with lower MBL levels and the B/B type with the lowest levels(?2=86.526,P

Objective To investigate the clinical characteristics of pontine infarction and the value of MRI in diagnosis of pontine infarction. Methods The cilinical feature and image manifestation of 65 cases with pontine infarction were analyzed retrospectively. Results Pontine infarction had complicated clinical presentation, classical syndrome was less, most presentation was similar to anterior circulation infarction. MRI especially DWI could found the infarction lesions earlier. Conclusion Pontine infarction and anterior circulation infarction have simlar presentations.MRI especially DWI could show the infarction lesions in supper-acute stage, could be helpful to diagnose.

China Biotechnology 2006;0(02):-
Phytoene synthase is a rate-limiting enzyme in the pathway of carotenoid biosynthesis. To aim at establishing a transformation of Ginseng callus cells, elevating the nutritive value through encouraging the composition of corresponding carotenoid, taking Ginseng callus cells as acceptor, psy gene were transformed into cells via Agrobacterium-mediated. The factors affecting genetict ransformation were also investigated seperately from concentrations of A.tumefaciens, age of Ginseng callus cells, infection time and co-culture time. PCR,PCR-Southern and RT-PCR analysis from the transferred gene plants proved that psy gene has been transferred into Ginseng callus cells and can be expressed. The content of ?-carotene was increased by an average of 26 times.A base of improving and raising the contents of carotenoid in the Ginseng callus cell was established.

Objective To investigate the effects of injecting allogeneic mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs) on the cellular immunity in rat in vivo. Methods Bone marrow-derived MSCs were isolated from Wistar rats. The purity of MSCs was identified by morphological examination with microphotography, and the phenotypes were identified with flow cytometry.Twenty SD rats were randomly divided into 4 groups.Different concentrations of MSCs(5?106/ml for group A,5?105/ml for group B,and 5?104/ml for group C,respectively) and PBS(for group D) were given to allogeneic SD rats via intravenous infusions. The suppressive effect of MSCs on lymphocytes proliferation in recipient rat was analyzed using mixed lymphocyte cultures(MLR) 10 days after cultivation. At the same time, proportions of CD4+,CD8+ and CD4+CD25+/CD4+ T-lymphocytes in peripheral blood and spleen were analyzed with flow cytometry. Results Proliferation rate of splenic lymphocytes in group A(5?106/ml MSCs,8.58%?0.27%) was markedly lowered compared with that in group D(PBS,24.40%?5.21%,P

Journal of Clinical Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery 2014;29(8):729-732
OBJECTIVE:
To investigate and analyze the status of anxiety and depression among patients with four types of peripheral vertigo.
METHOD:
The clinical data of patients with one of the four types of peripheral vertigo, namely benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV), vestibular migraine (VM), Menière's disease (MD), and vestibular neuritis (VN), were collected. Thorough otological and neuro-otological examinations were performed on these patients, and their status of anxiety and depression were assessed using self-rating anxiety scale (SAS) and self-rating depression scale (SDS).
RESULT:
A total of 129 patients with one of the four types of peripheral vertigo(49 cases of BPPV, 37 cases of VM, 28 cases of MD and 15 cases of VN) were included in the study. The scores of SAS and SDS were higher in the patients with VM or MD than those with BPPV or VN (P < 0.05), and the incidence of anxiety (VM = 45.9% MD = 50.0%) and depression (VM = 27.0% MD = 28.6%) were higher in the patients with VM or MD than those with BPPV or VN (P < 0.05). Paired comparisons showed the differences between the incidences of BPPV and MV groups, BPPV and MD groups, and MD and VN groups were statistically significant (P < 0.05).
CONCLUSION
Among patients with different types of peripheral vertigo, anxiety/depression is more common in patients with VM or MD. This may be due to the different mechanisms involved in different types of vertigo, as well as differences in the prevention and self-control of the patients against the vertigo.
