Objective:To investigate the techniques of establishment of abdominal heart transplantation model in rats and modify the procedure to make it more stable and improve the success rate. Methods: Heterotopic abdominal heart transplantations of Wistar and SD rats were performed by using Ono's method with modification of preparation of recipients, donor cardiectomy and donor transplantations. Results: One hundred heart transplantations were performed, among which 90 were successful. The success rate was 90%.Conclusion: This modified Ono's method can shorten the ischemia time and recipient abdominal aorta occlusion time, make vessel anastomosis easier and increase the success rate of operation. It is a stable and reliable model of heart transplantations in rats.

OBJECTIVETo evaluate a expanded reverse island flap with a saphenous neuro-vascular pedicle for repairing the defects of the feet and ankles.
METHODSAn expanded reverse island skin flap, with the Six saphenous neuro-vascular pedicle, was designed to repair the skin defects on the feet and ankles.
RESULTSpatients with the defects of the feet and ankles were treated with the expanded saphenous island flap and all of the The expanded reversed island skin flaps were survived. The largest flap size was 12 cm x 10 cm.
CONCLUSIONSflap could be a good option for repairing the defects of the feet and ankles.

Objective To assess the feasibility and accuracy of transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) in screening patients, intraoperative guidance of occluder releasing and efficacy assessment in the patients of percutaneous left atrial appendage (LAA) occlusion with Watchman. Methods Ultrasonic instrument Philips iE33(proble model X7-3t) were used to measure the maximum diameter and the depth of LAA ostium in enrolled patients by TEE,and intraoperative guided puncture of interatial septum, positioning Watchman transmission system and instruction closure release under TEE,immediate evaluate the postoperative therapeutic effect and record the complications by TEE.At 45 days after implantation, patients should repeat TEE to assess the efficacy. Results Eighteen patients underwent device implantation.Seventeen patients implant successfully, except one patient can't implant device beacuse of the LAA morphologe was not suitable. There was one patient showing thrombus formation on the surface of device, one patient of LAA and the device axial angulation was 90 °.At 45 days after implantaion,16 patients were fullowed up,there were no major stroke at all. Conclusions TEE has important application value in screening of preoperative patients, intraoperative guidance of occluder releasing and efficacy assessment in the patients of percutaneous left atrial appendage occlusion with Watchman.

BACKGROUND:With the development of microsurgical techniques, free flap transplantation has been widely used, which can solve the problem of insufficient local tissues.
OBJECTIVE:To observe the clinical effects of latissimus dorsi free flap transfer on the repair of al kinds of body surface defects, as wel as the role in complete tissue and functional reconstruction.
METHODS:From 2010 to 2013, 18 cases of various types of body surface defects were selected and using the microsurgical techniques, these complex wounds were repaired with free latissimus dorsi myocutaneous flaps. According to defect reason, primary wounds were treated for arteriovenous separation in the recipient zone. Most of the flaps were latissimus dorsi myocutaneous flaps at the affected side which were cut according to the wound size. If the cut muscle flap had a larger size and secondary wounds were difficult to be directly sutured, free skin grafts could be used to cover the residual secondary wounds.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:After transplantation, al the flaps survived with normal blood supply and wel-recovered function. Patients were more satisfied with the flap appearance. Latissimus dorsi myocutaneous flaps characterized as large donor area and secluded location have a great advantage in the repair of complex wounds using microsurgical techniques that can improve the survival rate of latissimus dorsi myocutaneous flaps.

Objective To find the similarities and differences between SD rat and C 57 mouse models of chronic renal failure established by 5/6 nephrectomy ,and select an appropriate experimental animal for the study of the treatment and prevention of chronic renal failure .Methods 60 SD rats and C57 mice were randomly and equally divided into 5/6 nephrectomy group and sham operatied group .The mice and rats were killed at 4 weeks , 8 weeks and 12 weeks after the operation, respectively.Serum and renal tissue samples were collected for the detection and analysis of renal function andα-SMA.Results There was no significant difference in the survival rates between the rat and mouse models (P>0.05). The serum creatinine and urea nitrogen in the 5/6NX rat group showed a stable state at 8-12 weeks, which was different from that of the 5/6NX mouse group. Conclusions A 5/6 nephrectomy mouse model of chronic renal failure is successfully established .Although both 5/6 NX mouse and rat groups appear progressive renal failure after the operation , their disease processes are not quite the same .In clinic, appropriate experimental animals should be selected according to the length of the observation period in order to accurately show the disease states .

Objective Benzoquinone ansamycin antibiotic, geldanamycin (GA), is a new anticancer agent that could inhibit Hsp90 by occupying its NH2-terminal ATP-binding site. This study was to investigate the antitumor efficacy of GA on Her2/neu tyrosine kinase overexpressing human breast cancer cell line SKBr3. Methods The degradation of Her2/neu tyrosine kinase was analyzed by Western blotting, the proliferation index was determined by MTT assay, cell cycle distribution was detected by flow cytometry, Cyclin D1 mRNA transcription was measured by RT-PCR and real-time PCR, and cell motility was evaluated by the cell culture insert model. Results GA induced a dose- and a time-dependent degradation of the Her2/neu tyrosine kinase protein and concurrently, the inhibition of cancer cell proliferation. The antitumor effects mediated by GA included: GA treatment decreased the survival rates of cancer cells, and led to a dase-dependent G1 arrest. Furthermore, this antitumor effect was proved to be related to declined transcription of Cyclin D1. Concurrently, the motility of cancer cells was reduced by GA. Conclusion GA treatment could induce the degradation of Her2/neu tyrnsine kinase efficiently, inhibit cancer cell proliferation and reduce motility in Her2/nen tyrosine kinase overexpressed human breast cancer cell line SKBr3.

The case of long-term complicated infectious mass on the inner thigh root after transobturator urethral sling is rare. This paper reported a case, who underwent a surgery of the "trans-obturator mid-urethral slings" for stress urinary incontinence 9 years ago. A mass on the root of the right thigh was found 3 months ago, accompanied with low fever. About 1cm tape was exposed on the front wall of the right side of the vagina. The patient underwent resection of the mass on the root of the right thigh and partial removal of the tape under spinal anesthesia. After one year’ follow-up, there was no significant change in urinary control ability compared with that before the operation.
