1.Observation on the esophageal varices and their collaterals with ultrasonic microprobe before and after EVL

Objective In order to evaluate the efficacy of esophageal varices ligation( EVL) , ultrasonic microprobe (UMP) was used to observe the esophageal varices and their collaterals before and after EVL. Methods Sixty patients merely with esophageal varices underwent ultrosonography via UMP before and 4,8,12 weeks after EVL and were divided into three groups:( Ⅰ )esophageal varices(EV) ( Ⅱ )esophageal and paraesophageal vein(PEV) varices( Ⅲ ) esophageal, para esophageal and perforating vein( PV) varices. Results In the following-up, the effective rate of type Ⅰ , Ⅱ , Ⅲ were 75% , 25% , 0% ; The recurrence rate 16% , 75% , and 100% respectively. PEV occurred in 12 out of 24 cases of group Ⅰ and broadened in all of the cases of group Ⅱ and Ⅲ; PV occurred in 11 out of 20 cases of group Ⅱ and all cases in groups M , and broadened in all cases of group Ⅲ. Conclusion Endoscopic ultrasonography can be served as guidance in selecting therapeutic measure in treating EV. EVL is merely suitable in treating EV; in EV patients with PEV and/or PV measures other than EVL should he selected.
3.HPLC combined with PCA technology for analysis of five gingerol compounds in different processing degrees of ginger charcoal.

To establish a new method for simultaneously determining the content of five gingerol compounds in different processing degrees of ginger charcoal and PCA principal component analysis was conducted for analysis. Samples were analyzed on Ultimate TM XB-C18 column (4.6 mm x 250 mm, 5 μm) , with acetonitrile (A) -0.1% phosphoric acid solution (B) as mobile phase for gradient elution. Detection wavelength was set at 280 nm. The flow rate was 0.6 mL x min(-1) and the column temperature was 30 degrees C. The five compounds were separated well and showed good linearity (r ≥ 0.999 7) within the concentration ranges tested. The average value for recoveries was between 98.86% - 101.5% (RSD 1.4% - 2.9%). The contents of five compounds showed difference among different processing degrees of ginger charcoal. Zingiberone had the highest content in the standard carbon, and the content of gingerol was decreased as the deepening of processing degree. Different processing degrees of ginger charcoal were classified into three groups with PCA, and provided scientific basis for establishing the quality standards of ginger charcoal.

4.Design, Synthesis and Antiviral Activity of Novel EV71 3C Protease Inhibitors

Objective:To explore novel compounds with anti-EV71 activity. Methods: A series of oligopeptides were designed based on the active groove of the EV71 3C protease using molecular simulation technology. Furthermore, some oligopeptides were syn-thesized and tested for the inhibition ability against EV71 in vitro. Results:Pentapeptides had higher binding affinity to the EV71 3C protease than the other oligopeptides, such as compounds 25 and 16. Therefore, compounds 25 and 16 were synthesized and tested in vitro for the anti-EV71 activity, and compound 25 exhibited potent anti-EV71 activity(EC50 =1. 36 μmol·L-1, CC50 =211. 94 μmol ·L-1, SI=155. 84), while compound 16 had no evident effect on EV71. Conclusion: It is worthy of further investigation on com-pound 25 as a novel scaffold of anti-EV71inhibitor.
5.Association of serum leptin and IL-6, IL-8 with acute cerebral infarction

Objective To explore the dynamic change of serum leptin interleukin-6(IL-6),and interleukin-8(IL-8)during cerebral infarction,and to analyze the possible relationship between these factors and the severity of the disease.Method The levels of serum leptin,IL-6 and IL-8 were measured by radioimmunoassay in 60 patients with acute cerebral infarction,who were admitted to the hospital within 24 hours after stroke.Patients' neurologic impairment were evaluated by European Stroke Scale(ESS)at 1,3 and 7 days respectively after hospitalization.At the same time,another 30 normal adults were enrolled set as control group. Results The levels of serum Leptin,IL-8 in patients group after at 1 days,3 and 7 days were higher than those in the controls(P0.05).The ESS of these patients were 76.77?26.42,70.02?29.17,74.65?28.42 respectively,after 1,3 and 7 days.It shown that ESS simply correlated to the level of IL-8(P0.05).Statistic analysis was carried,but by using t test and linear correlation.(SPSS11.5 statistical package).Conclusion Leptin,IL-6 and IL-8 probably play a role in the inflammatory,reaction during acute cerebral infarction.The IL-8 may reflect the severity of the disease.

Epiretinal membrane (ERM) is a relatively common macular disease that forms along the surface of the internal limiting membrane (ILM) of the retina to some reason.The pathogenesis is not clear.Microincision vitrectomy surgery has been confirmed as a minimally invasive and very safe modality of treatment.Deciding when to perform a vitrectomy can be difficult.There are many factors which can affect the postoperative visual acuity,such as age,the thickness of macular,integrity of photoreceptor inner segment/outer segment (IS/OS) junction.
7.Quality Control on Whole Process in Sterilization Supply Department

OBJECTIVE To investigate the method of quality control on the whole process in sterilization supply department. METHODS According to issued by Ministry of Health all kinds of criteria and inspections,the whole process in sterilization supply department was analyzed,and then the quality was controlled. RESULTS The whole process of sterilization was standardized,systematized and programmed. CONCLUSIONS The quality control on the whole process is an effective measure to ensure the rate of supply eligibility and support.
9.Clinical Observation of the Reduction of Anthracycline-induced Cardiotoxicity in Patients with Breast Cancer by Dexrazoxane Combined with Shenmai Injection

OBJECTIVE:To observe therapeutic efficacy and safety of dexrazoxane combined with Shenmai injection in the treatment of anthracycline-induced cardiotoxicity in patients with breast cancer. METHODS:120 female breast cancer patients were randomly divided into group A,B,C and D with 30 cases in each group. Group A was given CAF chemotherapy plan(cyclophos-phamide 75 mg/m2+fluorouracil 500 mg/m2 + doxorubicin 60 mg/m2),ivgtt;group B was additionally given Shenmai injection 50 ml,qd,ivgtt,on the basis of CAF plan;group C was additionally given rapid intravenous of dexrazoxane 60 mg/m2 30 min before chemotherapy,on the basis of CAF;group D was additionally given constant dose of dexrazoxane combine with Shenmai injection on the basis of CAF plan. A treatment course lasted for 3 weeks,they were given 4 courses in total. The change of ECG,LVEF, cTnT and BNP and the incidence of bone marrow suppression were observed before and after chemotherapy. RESULTS:After treat-ment,the rate of abnormal ECG,LVEF value,cTnT value and BNP value of groups B,C and D were all decreased significant-ly,with statistical significance(P<0.05). Compared with group D,above index of groups B and C were decreased significantly, with statistical significance(P<0.05). The incidence of bone marrow suppression was in ascending order,group D
10.Rhein and archen induce the apoptosis of mesangial cells in high glucose rats

BACKGROUND:Our previous study has already manifested that Chinese medicine Xiaokening can effectively prevent and treat the early diabetic nephropathy. OBJECTIVE:To compare the effect of rhein and archen on the apoptosis of mesangial cells of rats cultured with high glucose. METHODS:Mesangial cells were stimulated by different concentrations of rhein and archen (20, 40 and 80 μmol/L). Morphology of apoptotic cells was observed by hematoxylin-eosin staining. Karyon apoptosis was examined by fluorescence staining of DAPI. cellapoptosis rate was detected by flow cytometry. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:The outcome of hematoxylin-eosin staining and DAPI staining indicated that the effect of rhein was much stronger than that of archen on the apoptosis of mesangial cells in the rats cultured with high glucose. Comparison of the apoptosis rate also indicated that the rhein had a stronger effect on the earlier and the later stage apoptotic rate of mesangial cells than archen. Both rhein and archen with different concentrations can induce apoptosis of mesangial cells, but the effect of rhein is much stronger.
