Objective To evaluate the effect of calcitonic gene related peptide(CGRP) and endothelin(ET) on acute and delayed cerebral vasospasm(CVS) after subarachnoid hemorrhage(SAH).Methods The SAH model in rabbit were established by single injection of autologous arterial blood(0.5 ml/kg) to cisterna magna on percutaneous suboccpital route. Transcranial Dopper(TCD) was performed to detect the spastic of rabbit basilar artery(BA). The CGRP and ET concentrations in cerebrospinal fluid were examinated quntitatively by radioimmunologlc techniques at 30 minutes, 3 days, and 5 days after SAH.Results The results of TCD showed that rabbit basilar artery was spastic at 30 minutes, 3 days and 5 days after SAH. OBJECTIVE To investigate the distribution of pathogens and their antibiotic resistance in lower respiratory tract infection(LRTI) from intensive care unit(ICU) in our hospital,and provide basis for rational selection of clinical drugs.METHODS Pathogens were detected from qualified sputum specimens in LRTI from ICU and identified by VITEK-AMS60 automatic microbial analyzing system.Drug susceptibility was determined by KB test.RESULTS From 320 sputum specimens 367 pathogens were detected between from Jan 2007 to Mar 2008,including 261 strains(71.1%) of Gram-negative bacilli,70 strains(19.1%) of fungi,and 36 strains(9.8%) of Gram-positive cocci.21.8% Of the isolated pathogens were Acinetobacter baumannii,with 16.7% of drug-resistant rate to cefoperazone/sulbactam and over 71% to other 13 antibiotic agents.The rate of extended spectrum ?-lactamases(ESBLs) producing Escherichia coli isolates and Klebsiella pneumoniae ones were 65.2% and 72.0%,respectively,comparing to 84.6% for meticillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus(MRSA).CONCLUSIONS Gram-negative bacilli are the major pathogens of LRTI in ICU,in which A.baumannii shows with a high rate of drug-resistance,followed by fungi,which should attract the clinician′s more attention.

OBJECTIVE This objective of this study was to investigate intranasal anatomic abnormalities in cases of contact point headaches caused by contact between the nasal septum and the lateral nasal wall,as well as the clinical outcomes in these cases treated by endoscopic sinonasal surgery. METHODS A retrospective review was performed on 58 cases that met the criteria of having contact points between the septum and the lateral nasal wall, as demonstrated by CT scans of the sinuses and endoscopic examinations. These patients underwent surgical intervention in order to correct the contact points. They were re-evaluated for clinical parameters three months after the surgical correction of their anatomic abnormalities. RESULTS Abnormal nasal septa, enlarged turbinates and other anatomic abnormalities were the most common findings in contact point headaches. Fifty-eight patients underwent surgical correction of intranasal anatomic abnormalities. After follow-up periods of 3-18 mouths, 32 patients were cured, 23 were relieved to an extent, and 3 did not benefit. A significant decrease in the severity and frequency of headaches was noted after surgery. CONCLUSION Pressure from mucosal contact between the septum and lateral nasal wall mucosa is the key cause of contact point headaches, as seen in CT scans of the sinuses and endoscopic examinations. Clinically significant pain may improve after surgical correction of intranasal anatomic abnormalities.

Contaminations of SARS-CoV-2 have been found for many times in imported cold chain aquatic products and their packaging materials in China. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the contamination status, sources and transmission risks of SARS-CoV-2 in imported cold chain aquatic products, and try to put forward relevant suggestions and strategies in order to provide evidence for the prevention and control of SARS-CoV-2 infection.

Objective To observe the effects of triptolide(TPL) on the anti-oncogene-APC gene of acute lymphoblastic leukemia cell line Jurkat in vitro. Methods The effects of TPL on proliferation Jurkat cells were assayed by using cell culture, MTT. The effects of TPL on APC gene of Jurkat cells were analyzed by nested methylation specific PCR and RT-PCR. The effects of TPL on the proteinum expression of APC gene were detected by Western blotting analysis. Results Following the treatment of TPL, the cell proliferation rate was degraded as the treatment concentration increased and the culture time extended. The effects were dose and time-dependent. The 48 hour IC50 was 19.7 ng/ml. TPL can reverse hypermethylation of APC gene,and induce the expression of the mRNA and the proteinum. Conclusion Low dose TPL could depress the proliferation rate of Jurkat. The possible mechanism might be its reversing the hypermethylation of APC gene and activiting the expression of APC gene.

Objective:To observe the effect of acupoint massage plus acupoint sticking therapy for the stress reaction during postoperative anesthesia recovery period in patients undergoing nasal endoscopic surgery.Methods:A total of 120 patients undergoing nasal endoscopic surgery were included,and all patients were under trachea intubation and general anesthesia.The patients were randomized into an observation group and a control group,with 60 patients in each group.Patients in the control group received conventional anesthesia resuscitation,while patients in the observation group received acupoint massage plus acupoint sticking therapy on the basis of conventional anesthesia resuscitation.Changes in the heart rate (HR),systolic blood pressure (SBP) and diastolic blood pressure (DBP) were observed at three time points including the end of the surgery (TO),the removal of the tracheal tube (T1) and 10 min after the removal of the tracheal tube (T2).The awakening and tube removal time,choking cough and restlessness,and adverse reactions (dizziness,nausea and vomiting) in 24 h post-surgery period were compared.Results:At T1 and T2,the comparisons of HR,SBP and DBP between the two groups showed statistical significance (all P＜0.05).Intra-group comparisons showed that the HR,SBP and DBP of the control group at T1 and T2 were significant different from those at TO (all P＜0.05).There were significant differences in the awakening time and tube removal time between the two groups (both P＜0.05).The incidences of choking cough and restlessness were 8.3％ and 3.3％ respectively in the observation group,versus 53.3％ and 30.0％ in the control group,and the between-group comparisons showed statistical significance (both P＜0.05).The incidences of dizziness,nausea and vomiting in 24 h post-surgery period were 3.3％,5.0％ and 0.0％ respectively in the observation group,versus 43.3％,33.3％ and 25.0％ in the control group,and the between-group comparisons showed statistical significance (all P＜0.05).Conclusion:Acupoint massage plus acupoint sticking therapy can effectively regulate the stress reaction during postoperative anesthesia recovery period in patients undergoing nasal endoscopic surgery,and maintain a stable internal environment.

Objective To evaluate the impact of autoantibodies to angiotensin Ⅱ type 1 receptor AT1-AA on clinic outcomes of delayed graft function (DGF) grafts.Method We reviewed the records of all 139 consecutive adult recipients who received single kidney transplantation and clinical management between Jan.2010 and Dec.2012 in our centre.The serum levels of AT1-AA were measured by a streptavidin-enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.All patients with DGF were enrolled in this study and divided into two groups:(1) AT+ DGF group (serum AT1-AA positive,11 cases) ;(2) AT-DGF group (serum AT1-AA negative,23 cases).All clinical and laboratory data were recorded in our transplant database system at each visit.Result 139 recipients were enrolled.The overall presence of DGF was 24.5％ (34/139).The incidence of DGF in patients with high binding AT1-AA was significantly higher than that in those with low binding of AT1-AA (11/24 vs.23/115,45.8％ vs.20.0％,P＜0.05).In addition,longer duration of renal replacement therapy (59 ± 32 vs.47 ± 26 months,P＜0.05),higher resistance index (0.80 ± 0.10 vs.0.72 ± 0.10,P＜0.05) of allografts and more severe acute tubular injury (2.7 ± 0.5 vs.1.8 ± 1.1,P＜0.05)/acute tubular necrosis (0.9 ± 0.5 vs.0.5 ± 0.3,P＜0.05) were observed in AT + DGF group than in AT-DGF group.One-year graft survival and death censored graft survival were similar between two groups (90.9％ vs.95.7％,P＞0.05).Conclusion Presence of high binding anti-AT1 receptor had detrimental impacts on initiation and development of DGF.

Objective To investigate the diagnosis and treatment of hepatic metastasis from gastrointestinal stromal turnor(GIST).Methods The clinical data of 16 patients with GIST who had been admitted to our hospitalfrom December 1993 to May 2007 were retrospectively analyzed.Results Of all patients,14 underwent radical resection and 2 underwent palliative operation.Two patients with palliative operation and 3 with radical resection were administered with imatinib postoperatively. All patients were followed up for 3-161 months,and GIST metastasis and invasion was observed in 8 of the 14 patients who received radical resection.Of the 7 patients with hepatic metastasis.3 were treated with hepatic artery chemoembolization,1 was administered with imatinib,2 received reoperation and 1 did not receive any treatment. Reoperation was carried out on 1 patient who had abdominal wall metastasis.The 1-and 3-year survival rates of the 16 patients were 92%and 74%,respectively.Conclusions The recurrence rate of GIST after hepatectomy is high.Complete surgical resection is the best curative treatment for hepatic metastasis from GIST and GIST recurrence.The combination of surgical resection and imatinib administration may help to improve the prognosis of patients with hepatic metastasis from GIST.

Objective To explore the relationship between serum uric acid and fasting blood glucose ( FBG) in newly-diagnosed type 2 diabetes in regard to different genders. Methods In 282 patients of newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes(208 males and 74 females), detection of serum FBG, uric acid, creatinine, transaminases, blood lipids, etc were determined. FBG<7. 0 mmol/L was found in 118 cases (89 males and 29 females);7. 0 mmol/L≤FBG≤9. 0 mmol/L in 114 cases ( 88 males and 26 females ); FBG>9. 0 mmol/L in 50 cases ( 31 males and 19 females). Results (1)Serum uric acid showed statistically significant difference in regard to sex[Male:(325. 82±92. 26)μmol/L, Female:(292. 26±76. 19)μmol/L, P<0. 01]. (2) FBG and serum uric acid were negatively related(r=-0. 316, P<0. 01). (3) FBG and serum uric acid were negatively related both in male(r=-0. 320, P<0.01)andinfemale(r=-0.291,P<0.05). (4)Multiplestepwiseregressionanalysisshowedthatthethreegroups of FBG and serum uric acid showed regression relationship in male and female patients(P<0. 01). Conclusion With the increased FBG, serum uric acid was decreased in both males and females. Therefore, serum uric acid might serve as a potential biomarker of glucose metabolism.
