Objective To explore the association of IL-10-592A/C polymorphism with the susceptibility to respiratory syncytial virus(RSV) bronchiolitis and disease severity,and to explore the impact of IL10-592A/C polymorphism upon total serum IL-10 levels in children with RSV bronchiolitis. Methods One hundred children (patients group) admitted to hospital with RSV bronchiolitis and 100 healthy children (control group) were recruited. PCR restriction length fragment polymorphism assay was used to detect the single nucleotide polymorphisms of IL-10-592A/C. Total serum IL-10 levels in patients group were assayed with ELISA. Results The genotype frequency of IL-10-592A/C were AA 44% ,AC 38% ,CC 18% in patients group ,and AA 41% ,AC 42% ,CC 17% in the control group,it showed no significant difference between two groups (χ2= 0. 33, P > 0. 05) . The frequency of each allele were A 63%, C 37 % in patient group, and A 64% ,C 36% in the control group,there was no significant difference in allele frequency between two groups (χ2=0. 43 ,P >0. 05) . There was no significant difference in total serum IL-10 levels between different genotype of IL-10-592A/C (F = 0. 87, P > 0. 05) . The differences in genotype frequency of IL-10-592A/C were not significant between mild and moderate to severe cases (χ2= 2. 67, P > 0. 05) . Conclusion IL-10-592A/C gene polymorphisms do not correlated with RSV bronchiolitis.

Objective　To explore the correlation between the expression of p33/ING1 and the clinicopathological features in patients with colorectal cancer, and to understand the possible mechanism of p33/ING1 in the oncogenesis of colorectal neoplasms. Methods　All samples of normal mucosa and cancer tissues from 52 patients with colorectal cancer were detected for their expression levels of p33/ING1 by RT-PCR. Results　A significant decrease in p33/ING1 mRNA expression was found in 30 out of 52(57.7%) colorectal cancer tissues. The results also showed that repression of p33/ING1 expression markedly related to both the Duke's stage and metastasis. Conclusion　Down-regulation of p33/ING1 may play an important role in the oncogenesis and development of colorectal carcinoma.

ObjectiveTo study the expression of ING1 mRNA and its mutation status in human colorectal cancer. MethodsSamples of normal mucosa and cancer tissues from 52 patients with colorectal cancer were detected for their expression of ING1mRNA with RT PCR, and screened for its mutation with PCR SSCP. The expression of p53 protein was detected with immunohistochemical staining.ResultsThe impaired expression of ING1mRNA in colorectal cancer was associated with an advanced Dukes′ stage and metastasis of lymph nodes ( P ≤ 0 01). The expression of ING1mRNA positively correlated to that of p53 protein ( P ≤0 01). And a infrequent mutation of ING1 was also observed. Conclusion Our results suggest that ING1 contributes to the tumorigenesis and progression of colorectal cancer through down regulating its expression rather than through mutation.

Mechanical ventilation is regarded as an effective means of replacing artificial ventilation during cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and has been widely used in the treatment of cardiac arrest (CA) patients. However, there are still some controversial issues remaining to be settled, such as the assessmentof the effectiveness of mechanical ventilation, the selection of the optimal oxygen concentration (FiO2), tidal volume (VT), respiratory frequency, and mode of ventilation during the CPR process. The pros and cons of positive pressure ventilation are also inconclusive. We reviewed and summarized the related research in recent years, and recommended that the intermittent positive pressure ventilation (IPPV) of volume controlled with small VT (6-7 mL/kg), low ventilation rates (10 times/min), and pure oxygen could be applied during the mechanical ventilation of CPR. The best mechanical ventilation strategy still needs further experimental researches to discover and explore.

Objective To alleviate the side effects of glucocorticoid, we established a new procedure - intra - renal adipose capsule injection therapy to treat chronic glomerulonephritis. Methylprednisolone was injected into human renal adipose capsules of patients to treat primary glomerulonephritis. Methods 21 patients were diagnosed as primary glomerulonephritis by renal biopsies. Under the guide of sonograph,40mg methylprednisolone was injected into each renal adipose capsule of the patients twice a week, and each one of them was totally given ten times of the treatment. The urinary protein,plasma albumin, serum creatinine and blood pressure before and after the treatment were measured. Results The condition of most patients had been improved after the treatments. Objective To explore the underlying mechanism of respiratory syncytial virus-related asthma .Methods Totally 30 sprague-dawley rats were randomly divided into control group ,respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) group ,and anti-NGF group ,with 10 in each group .RSV infection model was established by nasal drip once a week .In anti-NGF antibody intervention group ,each rat was given intraperitoneal injection of anti-NGF for 3 h before identical RSV infection .transmission electron microscopy(TEM) were performed to observe the ultramicro-structure changes in adrenal medullary cell .The concentrations of adrenaline and NGF in serum were measured by ELISA .The NGF expression was assayed by immunohistochemistry .The expression difference of neurofilament protein mRNA was detected by RT-PCR .Results (1) Electron microscope showed ,medullary cells riched in mitochondria ,Chro-maffin granule concentration decreased obviously ,and membrane could saw clubbing phenomenon of neurite outgrowth clearly in RSV infection group .Meanwhile ,NGF expression was significantly increased in RSV infection group .(2) ELISA results showed that the concentrations of NGF in the RSV group was significantly increased compared with control group and anti-NGF group(P<0 .05) ,while the concentrations of NGF showed no difference between control group and anti-NGF group(P> 0 .05) .Compared with control group ,the adrenaline concentration of RSV group and anti-NGF group was significantly decreased(P<0 .01) ,and the adrenaline concentration of RSV group was significantly decreased compared with anti-NGF antibody group(P<0 .05) .(3) NF-LmRNA expression was significantly increased in RSV group .However ,compared with control group ,the NF-LmRNA expression was significantly decreased in anti-NGF group .(4) RT-PCR results show that ,Compared with control group ,adrenal medullary cells NF-LmRNA expression of RSV group and the anti-NGF group was significantly increased .Compared with RSV group ,NF-LmRNA adrenal medulla cells in Anti-NGF group was significantly decreased .Conclusion RSV infection may induce the adrenal medullary cell differentiation to nerve cell by over-expressed NGF ,and result in the decrease of adrenaline in serum to involve in asthma progression .

Objective To evaluate the expression of the GLUT-1 glucose transporter in borderline and malignant epithelial neoplasms of the ovary. Methods Histologic sections of tumor tissues from 100 epithelial neoplasms of the ovary were stained for GLUT-1 using polyclonal GLUT-1 antibody and the labeled streptavidin procedure. Chi-square analysis was used to assess if their expression was associated with clinicopathoiogic characteristics of the tumors. Results Normal ovarian surface epithelial cell were either negative or weakly positive. The intensity of the stain was significantly stronger in malignant than borderline tumors (P<0.001). In malignant neoplasms, the intensity of the stain for GLUT-1 increased with histology. Conclusion Overexpression of the GLUT-1 transporter is associated with the histology and grade of the minors. These data suggest that the expression of this transporter may be closely related to the malignant transformation of epithelial ovarian tumors.
