Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 2001;0(10):-
Objective To observe the interaction between the extreme stress and mild traumatic brain injury in the patients surviving Wenchuan earthquake. Methods Forty survivors in Wenchuan earthquake were selected for the psychological status survey 2-30 days after the disaster, among them 20 survivors were suffering from mild traumatic brain injury, and the remainders were in normal physical conditions. The Symptom Checklist-90(SCL-90),which consisted of 90 items with 5 grades for each item(0-4 grade, grade zero as none and grade 4 as severe),including 9 symptom factors, was adopted to perform the evaluation for all the subjects in both groups, and the subscales were compared. Results Five subscales of SCL-90,including somatization, depression, anxiety, hostility and fear, which averaged 2.12?0.50,1.83?0.60,1.99?0.40,1.80?0.70 and 2.20?0.8,respectively,were significantly increased in mild traumatic brain injury group than that in control group(P0.05).Conclusions Mild traumatic brain injury occurred among survivors of severe earthquakes is strongly associated with psychological problems.A higher incidence of psychological disorder in survivors of earthquake with mild traumatic brain injury indicates that one must be cautious when attributing a health problem to mild traumatic brain injury, since the post-traumatic stress disorder and depression may be the primary problem. The high-risk population with psychological obstacle consists of the survivors with mild traumatic brain injury, and the interactions of both psychological stress and traumatic brain injury may lead to more complex clinical symptoms,so psychotherapy should be emphasized in the treatment of patients with mild traumatic brain injury.

Results The bulge in region of the intravenous injection have been found in 28 cases, regional cyanochroia in 52 cases, allergic response in 25 cases, hypoglycemia response in 58 cases. Conclusion It is important to strengthen the QA and QC of intravenous injection in the radiology department.
4.Effects of Candesartan on the Expression of Cerebral NAD(P) H Oxidase mRNA in Salt-loaded Stroke-Prone Spontaneously Hypertensive Rats
Chinese Journal of Hypertension 2007;0(03):-
Background Oxidative stress has been implicated in the pathogenesis of angiotensin Ⅱ(Ang Ⅱ)related hypertension.Superoxide anion, produced by NAD(P)H oxidase, plays important roles in hypertension and its complications.Ang Ⅱ infusion increases cerebral NAD(P)H oxidase activity, which is inhibited by angiotensin Ⅱ receptor blocker(ARB)candesartan and NAD(P)H oxidase inhibitor. However, the underlying mechanism of ARB in preventing hypertensive stroke is not elucidated clearly. Objective To investigate the effects of candesartan on the expression of cerebral NAD(P)H oxidase mRNA in salt-loaded stroke-prone spontaneously hypertensive rats(SHRsp). Methods Twelve-week-old salt-loaded SHRsp were treated with candesartan [1.0 mg/(kg?d)],trichlormethiazide [TCM,1.6 mg/(kg?d)] or vehicle(n=12 in each)for 2 weeks.Age-matched salt-loaded WKY rats were served as control(n=12).Blood pressure was measured every week. After two weeks, cerebrums were harvested and 24 h urine was collected.Urinary albumin was examined by ELISA.Cerebral cortex NAD(P)H oxidase subunits(p22phox,p47phox and gp91phox)mRNA expression were assayed by real-time PCR.Results The systolic blood pressure was increased significantly in salt-load SHRsp.Candesartan and TCM reduced SBP to the similar level.Urinary albumin excretion and cerebral cortex NAD(P)H oxidase subunits were markedly higher in salt-loaded SHRsp than those in salt-loaded WKY rats.Incidence of stroke was significantly reduced in candesartan treated group as compared with TCM treated SHRsp(P

Journal of Xi'an Jiaotong University(Medical Sciences) 1981;0(02):-
Objective To evaluate the toxicological safety of Shanze weight-reducing food in order to provide some toxicological data for its application. Methods According to the national standard of safety evaluation, the following experiments of acute toxicity test through mouth in rats, the genetic toxicity test, thirty days feeding test and teratogenicity test in mice were performed. Results LD 50 was more than 20.0 g?kg -1, equivalent to 467 times of the recommended dosage, in acute toxicity test through mouth in both male and female rats, which fell into the scale of non-toxicity. Under the dosage range of 1.05 g?kg -1 to 4.20 g?kg -1, equivalent to 100 times of the recommended, the negative results were observed in the genetic toxicity test of micronucleus test of bone marrow cells, sperm shape abnormality test in mice and the Ames test. The negative impacts on the growth, development, hematology, biochemistry, histology and the ratio of organ to whole body were not found on the experimental rats of thirty days feeding. Under the same dosage range, no teratogenic effects were found in the experiments of teratogenicity test. Conclusions Shanze can be used as a kind of health weight-reducing food with toxicological safety under the experimental dosage range of 1.05 g?kg -1 to 4.20 g?kg -1.

Objective To introduce the method of arthroscopically assisted closed reduction and percutaneous screw fixation for intra-articular calcaneal fractures and to discuss its clinical indications, advantages and disadvantages. Methods From February 2003 to December 2004, 12 unilateral intra-articular calcaneal fractures were treated with the method of arthroscopically assisted closed reduction and percutaneous screw fixation. 7 cases were males and 5 cases were females. The average age was 36.8 years (range, 23-61 years). 8 feet were on right side and 4 feet were on left side. The mechanism of injury was fall from a height in 11 cases and vehicle accident in 1 case. According to Sanders classification, 8 cases were type Ⅱ fractures(1 type ⅡA, 5 type ⅡB, 2 type ⅡC) and 4 cases were type Ⅲ fractures(2 type ⅢAB,1 type ⅢAC,1 type ⅢBC). Results Arthroscopy in the operation showed the fracture space and step were less than 1 mm. The preoperative X-ray film showed that B?觟hler angle was 18.4??5.8?, Gissane angle was 109.1??10.2?, calcaneal width was (35.9?2.2) mm. The postoperative X-ray film demonstrated that B?觟hler angle was 25.4??3.5?, Gissane angle was 118.1??6.4?, calcaneal width was (32.3?1.1) mm. The average follow-up of nine patients was 17.4 months (range, 10-25 months). According to Maryland foot score, all patients had satisfactory results with the mean score of 92.5 score (range, 82-100 score), 6 were excellent and 3 were good. None of the patients had re-displacement of fracture, significant lame or other late complications. They regained normal shape of foot and wore normal footwear. Conclusion Arthroscopically assisted closed reduction and percutaneous screw fixation is an effective and applicable minimal-invasive treatment for Sanders type Ⅱ and selected type Ⅲ intra-articular calcaneus fractures. It can significantly reduce the risk of soft tissue injury and other complications while ensuring satisfactory reduction of the posterior calcaneal facet of the subtalar joint and reliable fixation.

Journal of Chinese Physician 2015;17(9):1360-1363
Objective To investigate the effect of medical student involvement on the quality of actual cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).Methods A digital video-recording system was used to record and analyze CPR procedures for adult patients from March 2011 to September 2012.Results Twenty-six student-involved and 40 non-student-involved cases were studied. The chest compression rate in the studentinvolved group was significantly higher than that in the non-student-involved group (P < 0.01).The proportion of compressions atabove 110 cpm was higher in the student-involved group (P =0.021),whereas the proportion at 90 ~ 110 cpm was lower in the student-involved group (P =0.015).The ratio of hands-off time to total manual compression time was significantly lower in the student-involved group than in the non-student-involved group (P < 0.05).In contrast, the student-involved group delivered a higher ventilation rate compared with the non-student-involved group (P < 0.05).The observed time delay to first compression and first ventilation was very similar between the groups. There were no significant differences between groups in either return of spontaneous circulation or time from survival to discharge. Conclusions Student-involved resuscitation teams were able to perform good CPR,with higher compression rates and fewer interruptions. However, the supervision from medical staff is still needed to ensure appropriate chest compression and ventilation rate in student-involved actual CPR in the emergency department.
