Objective To investigate the pollution of phthalate ester in indoor environment. Methods Settled dust samples from 10 households, 10 offices and 10 student dormitories in Beijing were collected. Seven kinds of phthalate esters in these samples were determined with solid phase extraction-high performance liquid chromatography (SPE-HPLC) .Dates were analyzed statistically by nonparametric tests. Results The main phthalate esters in dust were di (2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP), dibutyl phthalate (DBP) and dicyclohexyl phthalate (DCHP). Of phthalate esters, DEHP with the range of 28-6 073 mg/kg had the highest concentration in indoor dust. The total level of phthalate esters in households was the highest, offices followed, student dormitories was the last. The Kurskal-Wallis H test showed that the concentrations of BBP, DEHP and DCHP in dust were significantly different in 3 types of rooms (P

Gastrointestinal tract contains the most complicated microbial ecosystem of the human body, and balance of microbial ecosystem has been proved to play an important role in human health.Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) is closely related to the esophageal, gastric and intestinal microecology. It has been revealed that alterations in gut microbial ecosystem may induce mucosal inflammation, relax lower esophageal sphincter (LES),increase intragastric pressure and delay gastric emptying via various pathways and subsequently cause or exacerbate gastroesophageal reflux. In this article, the advances in study on gut microbial ecosystem and GERD were reviewed.

Gut microbiota is characteristically changed and participates in the pathogenesis and progression of a variety of diseases.Studies have shown that the ecological diversities of gut microbiota of constipated patients are disturbed, and some probiotics are effective for treatment of chronic constipation. This article reviewed the research progress on alterations of gut microbiota in chronic constipation, the mechanism of which affecting gastrointestinal motility, the interaction between microbiota and motility, and the efficacy of probiotics for clarifying the effect of gut microbiota on chronic constipation and guiding the clinical treatment.

Objective To evaluate the impact of autoantibodies to angiotensin Ⅱ type 1 receptor AT1-AA on clinic outcomes of delayed graft function (DGF) grafts.Method We reviewed the records of all 139 consecutive adult recipients who received single kidney transplantation and clinical management between Jan.2010 and Dec.2012 in our centre. The serum levels of AT1-AA were measured by a streptavidin-enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. All patients with DGF were enrolled in this study and divided into two groups:(1) AT+ DGF group (serum AT1-AA positive,11 cases) ;(2) AT-DGF group (serum AT1-AA negative,23 cases). All clinical and laboratory data were recorded in our transplant database system at each visit.Result 139 recipients were enrolled. The overall presence of DGF was 24.5% (34/139).The incidence of DGF in patients with high binding AT1-AA was significantly higher than that in those with low binding of AT1-AA (11/24 vs.23/115,45.8% vs.20.0%,P<0.05).In addition, longer duration of renal replacement therapy (59 ± 32 vs.47 ± 26 months,P<0.05),higher resistance index (0.80 ± 0.10 vs.0.72 ± 0.10,P<0.05) of allografts and more severe acute tubular injury (2.7 ± 0.5 vs.1.8 ± 1.1,P<0.05)/acute tubular necrosis (0.9 ± 0.5 vs.0.5 ± 0.3,P<0.05) were observed in AT + DGF group than in AT-DGF group.One-year graft survival and death censored graft survival were similar between two groups (90.9% vs.95.7%,P>0.05).Conclusion Presence of high binding anti-AT1 receptor had detrimental impacts on initiation and development of DGF.

Since the application of biomedical nanotechnology in the field of drug delivery breathes new life into the research and development of high-end innovative agents, a substantial number of novel nano-drug delivery systems (nano-DDSs) have been successively developed and applied in the clinical practice. Among them, small molecule pure drug and prodrug-based nanoassemblies have grasped great attention, owing to the facile fabrication, ultrahigh drug loading and feasible industrial production. Herein, we provide an overview on the latest updates of small-molecule nanoassemblies. Firstly, the self-assembled prodrug-based nano-DDSs are introduced, including nanoassemblies formed by amphiphilic monomeric prodrugs, hydrophobic monomeric prodrugs and dimer monomeric prodrugs. Then, the recent advances on nanoassemblies of small molecule pure chemical drugs and biological drugs are presented. Furthermore, carrier-free small-molecule hybrid nanoassemblies of pure drugs and/or prodrugs are summarized and analyzed. Finally, the rational design, application prospects and clinical challenges of small-molecule self-assembled nano-DDSs are discussed and highlighted. This review aims to provide scientific reference for constructing the next generation of nanomedicines.
