1.Antibiotics in Fever Clinic of Our Hospital
Chinese Journal of Nosocomiology 2006;0(07):-
OBJECTIVE To know the use of antibiotics in fever clinic of our hospital, and analyze whether it is reasonable.METHODS The situation was reviewed and analyzed that antibiotics were used for patients in fever clinic during the 4th quarter of 2005 by the doctor registry, original prescriptions, and data records of laboratory.RESULTS There were some unreadable aspects in the choice of antibiotics, the using method, drug combination etc in fever clinic of our hospital.CONCLUSIONS Fever clinic should enhance supervision management of the proper use of antibiotics.
2.Application of Advanced Simulation Human in Clinical Practice of Medical Nursing
Journal of Kunming Medical University 2016;37(7):135-137
Objective To explore the effect of comprehensive experiments on clinical practice of internal medicine nursing in the patients with advanced simulation human Simman3G.Methods Two grades of nursing students were selected by random cluster sampling and divided into the experimental group and the control group. The control group used the traditional clinical probation method to carry out clinical probation teaching in Department of internal medicine, the experimental group used the advanced simulation human Simman3G to conduct a comprehensive simulation of teaching before clinical probation. After the completion of the internship the self compiled questionnaire was given to two groups of students to investigate their opinion on the clinical probation. Then we compared, the semester examination results between two groups. Results In the experimental group, the grade of internal medicine nursing was higher than the control group at the end of the semester,P < 0.05.The results of questionnaire survey showed that there was no significant difference between the two groups in the promotion of theoretical knowledge and the two dimensions of the survey of nursing work environment. In the training of clinical thinking, improve nursing skill, communication skill, and the learning interest. At the great harvest of 5 dimensions of probation, the experimental group of students' recognition degree was significantly higher than the control group,P < 0.01.Conclusion Before clinical probation of internal medicine nursing, the application of high-end analog teaching can significantly improve the effectiveness of clinical probation.

Objective To study the relationship of lung function and the diaphragmatic nerve electrophysiological changes in elderly patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD).Methods The phrenic nerve motor conduction(PNC),diaphragmatic motor evoked potentials(dMEP)and diaphragmatic compound muscle action potentials(dCMAP)were detected in 50 COPD patients and 50 healthy controls aged 60 years and over, respectively. Results (1)The lung function of elderly COPD patients were significantly less than that of control group(P0.05),the lower amplitude of dCMAP than the control(P

AIM: To assess the effect of indomethacin on tumor invasion in a human laryngeal cancer Hep-2 cell line in vitro. METHODS: Hep-2 cells were exposed to indomethacin at different concentrations for 48 h. Then cell growth rate, the colony formation in soft agar medium and cell mobility were examined, and monolayer invasion assay was performed to assess cell invasion index. RESULTS: Preteatment with indomethacin inhibited the colony formation of Hep-2 cells and the cell mobility, and decreased the invasion index. CONCLUSION: Indomethacin can inhibit the invasion of Hep-2 cells.

AIM: To evaluate the significance of cytokeratin19 (CK19) expression in diagnosing micrometastases in lymph nodes in patients with laryngeal carcinoma. METHODS: Forty cases of laryngeal carcinoma together with 163 lymph nodes were studied by the staining with hematoxylin and eosin(HE)and immunostaining with antibody against cytokeratin 19 (CK19) on histological sections of the primary tumor and regional lymph nodes. RESULTS: In all cases, CK19 was positively expressed in the primary tumor. Among 163 lymph nodes, metastases were confirmed by HE in 23 lymph nodes, and in 42 lymph nodes staining with immunohistochemistry, micrometastases were found in 19 lymph nodes. Micrometastases in the lymphonodes were significantly related to the T staging. CONCLUSION: Immunohistochemical staining is a valuable method for the detection of node micrometastases in patients with laryngeal carcinoma.

Quorum sensing systems of pathogens are central regulators for the expression of virulence factors. Increasing evidence implies that targeting the quorum sensing system of many pathogenic bacteria is a promising therapeutic approach to control infections. In this work,we isolated 47 strains of actinomycetes from the mud sample of Jiaozhou Bay. Quorum sensing inhibitory activity was monitored by Chromobacterium violaceum CV026. As a result, the culture broth extract of actinomycetes WA-7 was found to have significant quorum sensing inhibitory activity. This strain was assigned to the genus Streptomyces based on its 16S rDNA sequence. Further investigation revealed that the extract could inhibit the quorum sensing-controlled violacein and proteases production of C. violaceum in a concentration-dependent manner.
