Objective To study the influence of interleukin-11 (IL-11) on graft versus host disease(GVHD) and graft versus leukemia(GVL) after allogenic bone marrow transplantation and related mechanism in acute lymphoblastic leukemic(ALL) junior mice.Methods The impact of IL-11 on CD4 and CD8 T cell after transplantation was evaluated by flow cytometry;it was observed that the GVHD pathology chance of internal after transplatation in ALL junior mice;the survial time after transplantantion was recorded;the level of tumor necrosis factor-?(TNF-?) which evidently related to GVHD was evaluated by ELISA.Results IL-11 could decrease the quantity of CD4 T cell and increase CD8 T cell;IL-11 could obviously increase the survival time and decrease the level of TNF-?. After ALL junior mice transplatated,IL-11 could delay and relieve GVHD.Conclusion IL-11 can alleviate GVHD and retain the effect of GVL after allogenic bone marrow transplantation.

Objectives To observe the changes of magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) during the course of treatment in hepatolen-ticular degeneration (HLD) and to evaluate its related factors.Methods Sixty - three patients with HLD received routine SE sequence MRI of brain and liver.Twenty - two patients with abnormal MRI in 42 patients and each of them had 2-4 times of serial MRI ex-aminations at interval of 1.0- 1.5 year.Results Ten patients had lesion in both brain and liver in 22 patients. Nine patients only in brain, 3 patients in liver.The major lesions disappear or decrease after rational treatments. There were only slight or no changes of MRI abnormalities in patients receiving treatments or age of patients was over 15 year old. Abnormal MRI findings shown again after stopped treatments over 2 months. In such cases, the clinical and MRI improvements were slow.The rate of clinical and MRI improvement in patients with adequate treatment were markedly higher than patients with inadequate treatment.Conclusions Liver and brain lesion will show in MRI disappear after adequate treatment;There are only slight or no change or showing again in MRI abnormalities in pa-tients with inadequate treatments compared with poor clinical improvement. MRI is beneficial to understanding therapeutic effect and prognosis of HLD.

Objective To assess the associations of anti-Smith antibodies with clinical manifestations and disease activity in children with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).Methods According to SLE disease activity index (SLEDAI) score,72 children with SLE were divided into the active group and inactive group.An immunoblotting method was used to detect serum anti-Smith antibodies in these subjects.Chi-square test was conducted to assess the associations of anti-Smith antibodies with clinical manifestations and disease activity in these patients.Results Of these patients,28 (38.9％) were assigned into the inactive group,and 44 (61.1％) to the active group.Anti-Smith antibodies were detected in 17 (23.6％) patients,but not in the other 55 (76.4％) patients.Elevated incidence rate of kidney injury was observed in anti-Smith antibody-positive patients compared with anti-Smith antibody-negative patients (70.6％ (12/17) vs.41.8％ (23/55),P ＜ 0.05).Meanwhile,the positivity rate of anti-Smith antibodies was 31.8％ (14/44) in the active group,significantly higher than that in the inactive group (10.7％,3/28,P ＜ 0.05).Conclusions Anti-Smith antibodies are not only an important indicator for the diagnosis of SLE,but also a risk factor for disease exacerbation and kidney injury in children with SLE.

Objective To evaluate the changes of left ventricular regional function in normal subjects with aging and the influencing factors by Doppler tissue imaging. Methods One hundred and twelve normal subjects were divided into four groups according to age: I group with age≤18 years old ; II group with 18 60 years old. Using a quantitative tissue velocity analysis system and tissue tracking, the peak velocities of different ventricular segments at systole, early and late diastole (Vs, Ve,Va) , the Ve/Va ratios were obtained and the effects of age, gender, heart rate and STd were analyzed. Results (1) Peak velocities of different segments of each wall were decreased one by one from mitral annulus, the basal, middle segment to the apical portion. (2) Peak velocities of different ventricular walls were significantly different, with the antero- and posterio-inter-ventricular septum being the lowest CVe (6. 89?2. 60) ,(7. 94?2. 64)cm/s]and with the latero-,posterio-,antero, and inferior walls of the left ventricle being higherCVe (9. 85?3. 02) , (9. 80?3. 09), (8. 86?3. 16), (8. 23?2. 48) cm/s] . (3) Peak velocities of different segments were associated with age, STd, BMI, heart rate and not associated with gender. (4) The Ve/Va ratios were increased one by one from mitral annulus, basal, middle segment to apical portion, and were significantly lower in III group and IV group than in I group and II group. Conclusions Peak velocities of different segments at different walls change regularly and age is the most important influencing factor to the diastolic velocities.

Objective To investigate the diagnostic value of contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS), and compare it with contrast-enhanced CT(CECT). Methods Eighty-one focal liver lesions were evaluated with CEUS and CECT, diagnostic value of two modalities were calculated, vaseularity manifestations of two modalities in arterial phase were compared. Results The sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, negative predictive value, and accuracy of CEUS were 96.6 %, 86.9 %, 94.9 %, 90.9 %, 93. 80%, respectively, and the diagnostic value of CECT were 98.3%, 82. 6%, 93.4%, 95.0%, 93.8%, respectively. Among all the metastasis, hypervascular manifestation lesions in arterial phase of CEUS and CECT were 72% (18/25) and 32% (8/25)( P <0.05). Conclusions The diagnostic value of CEUS and CECT in focal liver lesions are comparably satisfying,and there is no significant difference between them, the combination use of two modalities would improve the diagnosis performance. CEUS can show more hypervaseular metastasis than CECT in arterial phase.
