Objective To find out the occurrence patterns of medical disputes over prosthodontic treatments through surveys and analyses so as to provide basis for the scientific prevention of such occurrences.Methods A statistical analysis was made of the causes of 92 medical disputes over prosthodontic treatments that occurred in the past three years,the data were processed using self-made tables,and the occurrence rates of the disputes were calculated according to their causes.Results The disputes over prosthodontic treatments in the past three years accounted for 22% of the total number of medical disputes over prosthodontic treatments.The cause leading to the most disputes involved medical quality,followed successively by service management,service manners,personal factors on the part of the patients,and charges.Conclusion There are certain patterns for the occurrence of medical disputes over prosthodontic treatments,which can be avoided to some extent if appropriate preventive measures are taken.

Mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs), which can be introduced in brain tissue by the strategies of brain parenchyma, blood and neurolymph transplantation, to repair tissue injury and promote functional recovery of neural system, have been considered as the ideal seed cells for the treatment of central nervous system diseases. However, as the special structure exists in the blood-brain barrier, study on correlation between MSCs and blood-brain barrier permeability will make it possible for more MSCs to pass the barrier to perform the treatment. This paper gives a review on the latest research development in the field.

AIM: To investigate the changes of apoptosis in isolated pancreatic islet cells, insulin secretion, expression of Bcl-xL and Bax induced by combination of IL-1?, TNF-? and IFN-?, and effects of taurine on them. METHODS: Isolated pancreatic islet cells from Wistar rat were incubated in monolayer in vitro. NO-2/ NO-3 production, NOS activity, insulin secretion, the protein expression of Bcl-xL and Bax, percentage of islet cell apoptosis and DNA fragmentation in pancreatic islet cells incubated with combination of IL-1?, TNF-? and IFN-? were measured, and the effects of taurine on the changes of them were further investigated. A cardiac stimulator for rapid atrial pacing animal model was designed in this paper. According to the needs of clinical research, output pulse parameters of the cardiac stimulator can be designed. The cardiac stimulator will be controlled through magnet. Efficiency of the cardiac stimulator was validated by animal experiments.

Objective To investigate the correlations of serum adipocyte fatty acid-binding protein (AFABP),adiponectin (APN) and A-FABP/APN ratio with acute ischemic stroke (AIS) and its subtypes.Methods The consecutive patients with AIS (AIS group) of having complete data admitted within 24 hours of onset were enrolled,and at the same time,the healthy subjects of age,sex and body mass index matched with the AIS group were selected as a control group.The demographic characteristics and general clinical data of the AIS group and control group were collected.The serum A-FABP and APN levels were detected by enzymelinked immunosorbent assay.The patients in the AIS group were further divided into large artery atherosclerosis (LAA),small artery occlusion,(SAO),cardioembolism (CE),and stroke of other determined etiology (SOE) according to the TOAST classification criteria.Multivariable logistic regression analysis was used to investigate the relationship between all factors and AIS and its subtypes.Spearman correlation analysis was used to analyze the correlations of the A-FABP and APN levels and the NIHSS scores.Results The serum A-FABP level (P =0.017) and A-FABP/APN ratio (P =0.002) in the AIS group were significantly higher than those in the control group,and the serum APN level was significantly lower than that in the control group (P =0.011).Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that the increased serum A-FABP level (odds ratio [OR] 1.48,95％ confidence interval [CI] 1.07-1.93; P =0.009) and the A-FABP/APN ratio (OR 1.59,95％ CI 1.10-2.34; P =0.002) as well as the decreased APN level (OR 0.36,95％ CI 0.14-0.65; P =0.011) were independently associated with AIS.And the A-FABP/APN ratio was better than the correlation of both separately.The serum A-FABP level and A-FABP/APN ratio in the LAA,SAO and CE groups were significantly higher than those in other subtype groups (all P ＜0.05),and the APN level was significantly lower than that in other subtype groups (P ＜0.05).Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that the increased serum A-FABP level and A-FABP/APN ratio as well as the decreased APN level were independently associated with LAA,SAO and CE,and the A-FABP/APN ratio was better than the correlation of both separately.The baseline NIHSS score was positively correlated with the serum A-FABP level (r =0.236,P =0.019),it was negatively correlated with the serum APN level (r =0.307,P =0.002),and the correlation of the serum AFABP/APN ratio was higher than that of A-FABP or APN (r =0.326,P =0.001).Conclusions The increased serum A-FABP level and the decreased APN level may serve as the new risk factors for AIS,especially LAA,SAO and CE subtypes,and they can reflect the severity of AIS.

Objective To evaluate the effect and significance of apoptosis inducing factor (AIF) on promoting apoptosis of hypertrophic cardiomyocytes induced by hypoxia/reoxygenation. Methods Cardiomyocytes of neonatal Kunming strain rats were isolated and cultured. Cardiomyocyte hypertrophy was induced by angiotensinⅡ (0.1?mol/L for 12h), and the cells were cultured under the condition of hypoxia and reoxygenation. The cultured cardiomyocytes were then divided into seven groups: hypertrophic cardiomyocyte control (HC) group, hypoxia for 8h (H8h) group, hypoxia for 12h (H12h) group, hypoxia for 8h and reperfusion for 4h (H8h/R) group, hypoxia for 12h and reperfusion for 4h (H12h/R) group, hypoxia for 12h+siRNA transfection (H12h+siRNA) group, and hypoxia for 12h and reperfusion for 4h+siRNA transfection (H12h/R+siRNA) group. Cardiomyocytes were transfected with AIF siRNA. Apoptosis was detected with Hoechst 33258 staining. The AIF mRNA and protein expressions were detected by RT-PCR and Western blotting. Objective To explore the role of MMP-9 in blood-brain barrier (BBB) disruption and to promote rMSCs migration.Methods To investigate the effect of MMP-9 on the permeability of BBB,an in vitro model of BBB was established and performed Transwell experiments.To observe the pathologic changes of the cerebral cortex,rat brains from Sham treated group,HIBD group,MMP-9 treated group and TIMP-1 (intervention) treated group at different time points (0.5,1,3,7,14 d) were prepared and stained with Hematoxylin-Eosin and quantified the brain water content.Permeability of BBB examined by EB values measurement.MMP-9 protein level of rat cortex was detected by Western Blot.The number of Brdu labeled rMSCs in the rat cerebral cortex of each group was quantified by Immunohistochemistry (IHC).Results Transwell experiments results showed that migration of rMSCs increased remarkably in hypoxic condition compared to that of normal control (P＜0.01).The number of rMSCs migrated in the MMP-9 treated group was much more than that of negative control group and TIMP-1 group (P＜0.01).The results of pathology showed that compared to HIBD group,brain water content and the permeability of the BBB were increased in MMP-9 treated group but reduced in TIMP-1 treated one.The expression of MMP-9 protein in MMP-9 treated group was reached the peak at 3 d point,which was higher than that of HIBD group and TIMP-1 group (P＜0.05,P＜0.01).The quantity of Brdu labeled rMSCs crossed BBB in MMP-9 treated group was extremely higher than that of HIBD group (P＜0.05,P＜0.01).Conclusions The expression level of MMp-9 protein was improved after hypoxic-ischemic.MMP-9 could facilitate the migration of rMSCs through vitro BBB and control the opening of BBB,which indicate that MMP-9 may facilitate the migration of rMSCs through BBB into brain.

Objective To investigate the expression pattern of skeletal muscle specific miR-206,myogenesis related myoD which change with time in dcnervated muscle atrophy rats.Methods From June,2015 to January,2016,40 SPF sprague-dawley rats were equally classified into 5 groups randomly according to standard settled before,5 groups were separately defined as denervated 0d group,denervated 1d group,denervated 7d group,denervated 14d group,and denervated 28d group.Each group contained 8 rats.The rats atrophy models were established by cutting sciatic never on left side.According to the different denervated time,the gastrocnemii on both sides were obtained under anesthesia,respectively.The wet weight ratio of two compared gastrocnemii were measured,and the gastrocnemii transection was observed by HE stain,measured the expression of myoD protein by western blot,obtained the expression of miR-206,myoD mRNA by qPCR.Results According to our study on rats denervated atrophy models,the wet ratio of compared gastrocnemius would decrease rapidly,by HE stain,decease of cross sectional area in muscle fiber was observed as well as degeneration.Collagen fibers hyperplasia appeared and increased with time change.Wet ratio and transaction aera ratio of group Od,1d,7d,14d,28d were 0.99±0.04,0.92±0.07,0.68±0.11,0.39±0.06,0.27±0.07 and 0.99±0.02,0.96±0.04,0.51±0.09,0.34±0.08,0.23±０.03 respectively,difference between experimental groups and control group were statistically significant (P＜ 0.05),the differences between each experimental groups were also statistically significant (P＜ 0.05).After qPCR test of miR-206,myoD mRNA expression,it was found that their expression patterns were similar,miR-206,myoD mRNA increased at first and would reach the expression peak at the 7 th day,after that their contents decreased but still higher at the 14th day when compared with that at the 1 st day.Their expression of group 0d,1 d,7d,14d,28d were 0.24±0.06,0.34±0.04,0.68±0.04,0.49± 0.07,0.25±0.03 and 0.41 ±0.06,0.49±0.09,0.93±0.06,0.66±0.03,0.39±0.04,respectively.All experimental groups were statistically significant different when compared with 0d group except 1d group (P＜ 0.05),the differences between each experimental groups were also statistically significant(P＜ 0.05).The protein expression of myoD was also measured by western blot test,which showed nearly the same expression pattern as the mRNA expression pattern.After injury,the protein expression increased and reached the expression peak at the 7th day.The relative expression of myoD of group 0d,1d,7d,14d,28d measured by grey ratio were 1.03±0.05,1.06±0.06,1.42±0.10,0.66±0.13,0.24±0.07,respectively.The difference between experimental groups and control group were statistically significant (P ＜ 0.05),the differences between each experimental groups were statistically significant (P ＜ 0.05) as well.Conclusion The degree of muscle denervation atrophy was related to the denervated duration in rats.The expression regulation of miR-206 and myoD in gastrocnemius was similar during the muscle denervation atrophy,which suggesting having internal relationship between miR-206 and myoD.

OBJECTIVE:To explore the effects of PDCA(plan,do,check,action)cycle theory in the ADR monitoring of our hospital. METHODS:The problems of ADR monitoring in our hospital in 2012 were analyzed and intervened by PDCA cycle. The effects of PDCA cycle were evaluated 1 year later. RESULTS:After implementation of PDCA cycle,we had improved the manage-ment system,brought ADR monitoring into the appraisal of clinical pharmacists,established the networking platform of ADR report-ing,strengthened the training of physicians and nurses,the publicty of ADR information and ADR monitoring of important medi-cine. The number of ADR reports increased by 18.37% in 2013,the proportion of new and serious ADR reports obviously in-creased(increasing from 22.28% to 38.42%);in terms of ADR reporting source,the ADR reporting in wards obviously increased (increasing from 8.16% to 43.84%). The proportion of ADR induced by antibiotics or TCM preparation decreased significantly(re-spetively decreasing from 54.52% to 43.84% and 23.03% to 13.30%);in term of ADR clinical manifestations,the proportion of skin and its appendants involved decreased significantly (decreasing from 53.64% to 39.41%). CONCLUSIONS:The application of PDCA cycle obviously improves the management of ADR monitoring in our hospital.
