Objective To state and analyze collateral vessels in patients with cirrhosis and portal hypertension with multislice spiral CT (MSCT).Methods 203 cases of cirrhosis and portal hypertension were included in the study and undergone upper abdomen examination with MSCT.Results 612 collateral vessels were demonstrated in this group: lower esophageal varices in 175, paraesophageal varices in 49, including greatly dilated azygos or hemiazygos veins and showing mediastinal pseudotumors in 13, gastric fundic varices in 119, left gastricvarices in 105, gastrorenal shunts in 34, splenorenal shunts in 15, paravertebral varices in 16, reopened umbilical vein in 48, reopenedparaumbilical vein in 22, reopened umbilical vein and paraumbilical vein in 4, abdominal wall varices and caput medusa sigh in 12, portalvein cavernous transformation in 8, greatly dilated right posterior portal vein connecting the inferior vena cava in 4 and left gastric veindirectly connected with the left portal branch in 1. Conclusion MSCT can much more clearly demonstrate the collateral vessels in patients with cirrhosis and portal hypertension. An understanding of the varied appearances of acquired abnormalities of the portal venous system will allow more definitive diagnosis and help avoid false diagnosis of disease, and may play a significant role in making a clinical treatment plan.

By means of literature review, expert interviews and experts sorting, the authors identified three approaches of medical humanities care, and applied them to three clinical departments of top ten incidence of medical disputes of the hospital in 2012.These departments have similar number of beds, and covered both internal medicine and surgery departments. The purposes of the study are to evaluate the effects of medical humanities care measures in clinical departments, and to make relevant thoughts and suggestions.

BACKGROUND:Insufficient source of seed cel s is the important factor to restrict the tissue reconstruction and the development of regenerative medicine.
OBJECTIVE:To explore the osteogenesis of adipose stem cel s cultured with different kinds of artificial bones.
METHODS:Adipose tissue was extracted from female volunteers undergoing cosmetic surgery to isolate adipose stem cel s. Passage 4 adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cel s were selected and divided into osteogenic induction group, osteogenic induction+hydroxyapatite group, osteogenic induction+absorbable bone group and osteogenic induction+recombinant bone xenograft group. The latter three groups were subdivided into 3, 10, 20 g/L subgroups, respectively. Culture medium was exchanged every 3 days, total y for 12 days.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Compared with the osteogenic induction group, the calcium concentration in the elution liquid was significantly higher in the osteogenic induction+hydroxyapatite group and low-concentration osteogenic induction+absorbable bone group (both P<0.05), but no difference was found between the osteogenic induction group and high-concentration osteogenic induction+absorbable bone group (P<0.05). In addition, the calcium concentration in the elution liquid was significantly lower in the osteogenic induction+recombinant bone xenograft group than the osteogenic induction (P<0.05). Therefore, different artificial bone scaffolds can influence the osteogenic effect of adipose stem cel s, and among them, hydroxyapatite has a better effect on the osteogenic induction of adipose stem cel s.

Objective: To explore the mechanisms of acupuncture in improving osteoporosis. Methods: In this study, the expression of OPG and BMP-2 proteins of femur in SAMP6 control group, SAMP6 acupuncture group, SAMP6 sham-acupuncture group and SAMR1 control group were determined by Western Blot technique. Results: Compared with SAMR1 control group, the expression of OPG and BMP-2 proteins of the femur in SAMP6 control mice decreased obviously. Acupuncture could stimulate the expression of OPG and BMP-2 and no differences were detected between the SAMR1 control group and SAMP6 acupuncture group. Conclusion: Osteoporosis observed in SAMP6 was correlated with low expression of OPG and BMP-2. After acupuncture treatment, both of them showed increased expression, it suggested that the curative effects of acupuncture on osteoporosis were partly due to stimulating skeleton formation, inducing the production of some local factors of bone metabolism and decreasing the bone turnover rate.

Wearing transfemoral prosthesis is the only way to complete daily physical activity for amputees. Motion pattern recognition is important for the control of prosthesis, especially in the recognizing swing phase and stance phase. In this paper, it is reported that surface electromyography (sEMG) signal is used in swing and stance phase recognition. sEMG signal of related muscles was sampled by Infiniti of a Canadian company. The sEMG signal was then filtered by weighted filtering window and analyzed by height permitted window. The starting time of stance phase and swing phase is determined through analyzing special muscles. The sEMG signal of rectus femoris was used in stance phase recognition and sEMG signal of tibialis anterior is used in swing phase recognition. In a certain tolerating range, the double windows theory, including weighted filtering window and height permitted window, can reach a high accuracy rate. Through experiments, the real walking consciousness of the people was reflected by sEMG signal of related muscles. Using related muscles to recognize swing and stance phase is reachable. The theory used in this paper is useful for analyzing sEMG signal and actual prosthesis control.
