1.CRP Detection and Endotoxin Inspection in Fever Clinic:Their Clinical Significance
Chinese Journal of Nosocomiology 2006;0(03):-
OBJECTIVE To investigate the changes in and clinical significance of C-reactive protein(CRP) and endotoxin in patients who are firstly examined in fever clinic.METHODS To review and study the results of CRP and endotoxin from 81 patients(including 48 patients who were diagnosed as bacterial pneumonia and 33 patients who were diagnosed as a cold) in fever clinic of our hospital in 2005.RESULTS In 81 bacterial infection patients, the analysis indicated the levels of endotoxin between the pneumonia patients and the patients with a cold had significant difference. And the levels in the first group were significantly higher than in the latter one.The levels of CRP had no difference in two groups.CONCLUSIONS The result indicates plasma endotoxin detection helps to determine the early diagnosis of serious infection. It is also of significance to select antibacterial rationally and handle syndrome in time.In fever clinic, the levels of endotoxin may be a method to help diagnosis and treatment.CRP could be help to estimate the bacterial infection or virus infection, but it could not adjudge the seriousness in bacterial infection.
2.Effects of lifestyle intervention on glucose control in people with type 2 diabetes
Journal of Shanghai Jiaotong University(Medical Science) 2017;37(6):870-875
Lifestyle intervention is basic and background treatment for people with type 2 diabetes.Effective lifestyle intervention contributes to better glucose control and delay of diabetic complications.Dietary and exercise interventions as well as lifestyle advice are major components of lifestyle intervention.Dietary intervention focuses on restriction of total caloric intake and balanced nutritional composition, while exercise intervention focuses on exercise mode, frequency, intensity, timing, and duration. This review introduced several lifestyle intervention measures including exercise and dietary interventions as well as lifestyle advice, and discussed their effects on glucose control in people with type 2 diabetes.

Journal of Medical Postgraduates 2003;0(04):-
catenin is an ubiquitously distributed protein with multiple functions. It is crucially involved in a variety of biological processes, both during embryonic development and in the adult. This reporte summarized the important roles of beta-catenin in controlling the hair follicle morphogenesis and stem cell differentiation in the skin.
6.Effect of Glutamine and Epidermal Growth Factor on Neonatal Rats with Necrotizing Enterocolitis
Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2006;0(19):-
Objective To investigate the effects of glutamine(Gln) and epidermal growth factor(EGF) on small intestinal repair in neonatal rats with necrotizing enterocolitis(NEC).Methods Forty neonatal rats of NEC model were divided into 5 groups:group A(control group),group B(NEC model),group C(NEC+Gln),group D(NEC+EGF+Gln). After NEC model of neonatal rats, all the neonatal rats were returned to their mothers. In the 4~(th) day,all the subjects were put to the death.Intestinal tissue located at the boundary of ileum and cecum was obtained to observe histological changes.Morphological changes were measured under a light microscope, and expression of proliferating cell nuclear antigen(PCNA) as an index of cell proliferation was observed using immunohistochemical staining and image analysis, expression of apoptosis was observed by TUNEL staining and image analysis. Results In group B,the histological lesions ranged was different, and was graded 3 score. In group C,D,the histological lesions ranged was graded 1 score. The number of(PCNA) in group B was lower than that in group A(P
7.Expression of interphotoreceptor retinoid-binding protein in lens-induced myopia in guinea pig
Chinese Journal of Experimental Ophthalmology 2011;29(8):702-706
Background The pathogenesis of myopia is currently unclear. Studies showed that retinoic acid regulates the development of myopia. Whether IRBP, a retinoid transport proteins, participates in the development of myopia or not is unknown. Objective The aim of this study was to investigate the expression of interphotoreceptor retinoid-binding protein (IRBP) in the retina of guinea pig with lens-induced myopia and study the relationship between IRBP expression and experimental myopia. Methods Fifty guinea pigs were randomized into the normal controls(n=10) ,defocus Ⅰ group (n=20) and defocus Ⅱ group (n=20). Guinea pigs in the defocus Ⅰ groups wore -10. 00 D lenses on the right eyes for 14 days and the defocus Ⅱ group for 28 days. The left eyes of both defocus groups did not wear any lens served as self-control. The refraction diopter and axial length were measured before and after wearing lenses. The protein expression of IRBP in the retina was detected by immunohistochemisty and Western blot. RT-PCR was used to observe the level of IRBP mRNA in the retina. Result Compared with the control eyes, the right eyes in the defocus Ⅰ and Ⅱ groups developed to ( -5. 53±1.93) D and (-8.69±2.46) D, and the ocular axial length elongated to (0. 31±0. 15 ) mm and (0.41 ±0. 13 ) mm, showing statistically significant differences between them ( group Ⅰ: t= 12. 57,29.63 ,P<0.05 ;group Ⅱ :t= 15.82,44.35 ,P<0.05 ) ,and the degree of myopia was lower and axial length was shorter in group Ⅰ than the eyes of group Ⅱ ( P<0.05 ). There was no statistically significant differences found between the left eyes of defocus group Ⅰ and defocus group Ⅱ or eyes of the control group in diopter and axial length (P>0.05). Immunochemistry revealed that the mean gray value of IRBP protein expression was 165.62t4. 93 and 171.00±4. 25 in defocus Ⅰ group and defocus Ⅱ group and was significantly higher than that of the self-control eyes and the normal control group ( 156. 31±4.00,155.26 ±3.49 and 158.61 ±4. 58 ) ( P<0.05 ). Western blot demonstrated that the expressios of IRBP protein were down-regulated and RT-PCR showed the IRBP mRNA level of IRBP was significantly lower in defocusIgroup and defocusⅡgroup, compared with the self-control eyes and the normal control group (P<0. 05). Conclusion Expression of IRBP in guinea pig may play a role in lens-induced myopia.

9.Advances in transcription activator-like effectors--a review.
Chinese Journal of Biotechnology 2015;31(7):1024-1038
As a protein originally found in plant pathogenic bacteria, transcription activator-like effectors (TALEs) can be fused with the cleaving domain of restriction endonuclease (For example Fok I) to form artificial nucleases named TALENs. These proteins are dependent on variable numbers of tandem Repeats of TALEs to recognize and bind DNA sequences. Each of these repeats consists of a set of approximately 34 amino acids, composed of about 32 conserved amino acids and 2 highly variable amino acids called repeat variant di-residues (RVDs). RVDs distinguish one TALE from another and can make TALEs have a simple cipher for the one-to-one recognition for proteins and DNA bases. Based on this, in theory, artificially constructed TALENs could recognize and break DNA sites specifically and arbitrarily to perform gene knockout, insertion or modification. We reviewed the development of this technology in multi-level and multi species, and its advantages and disadvantages compared with ZFNs and CRISPR/Cas technology. We also address its special advantages in industrial microbe breeding, vector construction, targeting precision, high efficiency of editing and biological safety.
