Objective To study the effect of FSH on the secretion of gastrin in the rat stomach,offering experimental evidence for reproductive endocrine hormone regulating digestive function. Methods The FSH was directly injected into the stomach of rats to observe the change of density of gastrin immunoreactive positive cells in the stomach by immunohistochemical SABC method and the gastrin level in circulating blood and gastric liquid by ELISA. 3.ANTIMUTAGENIC EFFECT OF P—AMINOBENZOIC ACID AND SODIUM EISULFITE ON THE MUTAGNICITY OF N-METHYL-N-NITRO-N-NITROSOGUANIDINE

Antimutagenic effect of p-aminobenzoic acid (PABA) and sodium bisulfite (NaHSO_3)on the mutagenicity of N-methyl-N-nitro-N-nitrosoguanidine (MNNG) was detected by the mehod of human lymphocytes unscheduled DNA Sythesis (LIDS). The results showed that when the concentration of PABA and NaHSO_3 was varied in presence of a constant concentration of MNNG, 5 ?10~(-5) mol/L concentration of PABA, 3 ? 10~(-4) mol/L concentration of NaHSO_3 were the most effective, while the concentration of MNNG varied in the presence of a constant concentration of PABA and NaHSO_3, antimutagenicity was the most effective at high concentration of MNNG. The results indicated that the PABA and NaHSO_3 exhibited antimutagenic activity towards MNNG-induced mutagenicity in LIDS and the extents of antimutagenicity were related with the concentration of MNNG.
4.Early Exercises of Affected Arm for Postoperative Breast Cancer Patients

Objective To explore the effect of early systemic phased exercise post mastectomy on the recovery of activities of daily living. Methods 100 patients who received modified radical mastectomy were assigned to the experimental group and control group with 50 patients in each group. They all accepted routine nursing, and the experimental group accepted early systemic phased exercise in addition. They were assessed with range of motion (ROM) of shoulder and modified Barthel Index (MBI). Results ROM of shoulder improved in 90% of the experimental group and 70% of the control group (P<0.05). MBI was (84.5±18.2) in the experimental group and (51.8±16.6) in control group (P<0.05) . Conclusion Early systemic phased exercises may promote the recovery of the affected arm for the patients post mastectomy.

7.Pulsed radio-frequency stimulation combined with nerve block for cervicogenic headache

Objective To observe the clinical effect on cervicogenic headache (CEH) of pulsed radiofrequency stimulation (PRF) applied to the C2 dorsal root ganglion combined with nerve block.Methods A total of 78 cases diagnosed as CEH were randomly divided into a combined treatment group,a PRF treatment group and a nerve block group.The combined treatment group was given both PRF applied to the C2 dorsal root ganglion and blocking therapy.The other two groups were given only one treatment or the other.All the treatments were once weekly for 3 weeks.Before treatment and 1,3 and 6 months after treatment,all of the patients' headaches were evaluated using a visual analogue scale (VAS).Results At 1,3 and 6 months after treatment,the average VAS scores of all three groups had decreased significantly.The VAS ratings dropped the most in the combined treatment group,followed by the PRF group and then the nerve block group.All the intergroup differences were statistically significant.The combined treatment group's cure rate (88%) was significantly better than that of the PRF group (81%),which was significantly better than that of the nerve block group (54%).Conclusion Combining PRF applied to the C2dorsal root ganglion with nerve block therapy has a synergistic effect on CEH.The curative effect of the combined treatment was better than either PRF or blocking alone.
8.Clinical Analysis of 30 Cases with Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome in Children

Objective To explore the clinical diagnosis and treatment of cyclic vomiting syndrome in children.Methods Thirty children proved with cyclic vomiting syndrome admitted from January,1998 to January,2003 were analyzed retrospectively.Results Cyclic vomiting syndrome was most likely to occur in 3-12 years old.The male to female ratio was 3∶2.The clinical manifestations were recurrent vomiting.Twenty-one cases had inducements,while 9 cases had not inducements.It was safe and efficient that curing cyclic vomiting syndrome with cyprohetadine and amitriptyline.Conclusions If these children with cyclic vomiting syndrome are inefficient to treatment,excluding metabolizable diseases,gastrointestinal,neurological diseases,they may be diagnosed cyclic vomiting syndrome,and cured with cyprohetadine and amitriptyline.
9.Assessing Sports Injury Risks of Chinese Rugby Athletes Using Functional Movement Screen

Objective To explore the effect of applying functional movement screen (FMS) in the sport injury risk assessment of Chinese rugby athletes.Methods Rrugby athletes of Chinese national and provincial teams were selected and their data were collected using the standard FMS test.Their non-impact injury of the lower limbs and trunk were tracked and recorded.FMS diagnostic value and diagnostic cut-off value were evaluated using the receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC) and odds ratio (OR).Results The area under curve of all,male and female rugby athletes was 0.780 (P=0.000),0.877 (P=0.001) and 0.7130 (P=0.013) respectively,with significant differences from AUC=0.5.FMS score optimal cut-off point of all,male and female rugby athletes corresponding to the maxi mum Youden index was 13.5,15.5 and 13.5 respectively.Among all,male and female rugby athletes,the injury rates of the positive group (with FMS score less than the corresponding optimal cutoff point) were significantly higher than that of the negative group (with FMS total score greater than a corresponding cut-off point)(P<0.01),and OR value of the positive group was 25.85 (95%CI:3.34~200.23),25 (95%CI:2.36~264.80) and 14.22 (95%CI:1.76~114.92) respectively.Conclusion In China,the average FMS score of rugby athletes had a strong correlation with non-contact sport injury,which might become an assessment index of non-contact sport injury risks.There is a significant difference in FMS score optimal cut-off points between the male and female rugby athletes,with that of the female being 13.5 points and the male being 15.5 points.
10.STUDIES OF LOCALIZATION AND DISTRIBUTION OF FOLLICLE-STIMULATING HORMONE RECEPTOR IN RAT SUBMANDIBULAR GLAND AND STOMACH

Objective To observe the localization and distribution of follicle stimulating hormone receptor(FSHR) in the rat submandibular gland and stomach. Methods Immunohistochemical SABC method was used in the experiment. Results The serous glandular cells,granular convoluted epithelial cells and all other duct epithelial cells in the submandibular gland and the parietal cells of gastric gland showed FSHR positive immunoreactivity.The positive substance was distributed in the cytoplasm with negative nuclei.Conclusion The function of rat submandibular gland and gastric gland might be regulated by follicle stimulating hormone(FSH) through FSHR.
