Ganoderma lucidum is a traditional folk common rare medicinal herb, which plays an important role in maintaining human health. Among them, G. lucidum polysaccharide is one of the main bioactive components of G. lucidum, which has various pharmacological effects such as anti-cancer, immunomodulatory, antibacterial, antioxidant, and scavenging free radicals. Due to the complex etiology and pathogenesis of central nervous system diseases, the clinical manifestations are diverse, and the individual response to treatment varies widely, which brings great challenges to clinical treatment. The characteristics and mechanism of the central neuroprotective effect of G. lucidum polysaccharide are reviewed in this paper from the aspects of Alzheimer's disease, anti-epileptic, modulating microglia inflammatory response, etc., in order to provide relevant evidence for its clinical application.

Objective To compare the clinical efficacy of moxibustion Zhiyin with knee chest decubitus,ear acupoint magnetic bead press combined with knee chest decubitus and knee chest decubitus in correction of breech position,thus to provide more safe and effective correction method for the clinical treatment.Methods 150 pregnant women with breech were selected.They were randomly divided into observation group Ⅰ,observation group Ⅱ and control group according to the digital table,50 cases in each group.The control group was treated with knee chest decubitus to correct breech position,the observation group Ⅰ was given moxibustion Zhiyin combined with knee chest position,the observation group Ⅱ was given ear acupoint magnetic bead press combined with knee chest decubitus.Results The effective rates of the observation group Ⅰ and observation group Ⅱ were 96％,92％,respectively,which were higher than 76％ of the control group,the difference were statistically significant (χ2=5.09,4.18,all P＜0.05).The effective rate between the observation group Ⅰ and observation group Ⅱ showed no significant difference (P＞0.05).Conclusion Moxibustion Zhiyin combined with knee chest decubitus and ear acupoint magnetic bead press combined with knee chest decubitus in the correction of breech position have short course of treatment,high success rate,and are more economical and convenient,with high safety and good curative effect,which are worthy of promotion.

Background and purpose:Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) is one of the most common malignancies in the world,It has a poor prognosis due to its rapid infiltrating growth and complicating liver cirrhosis.Surgical resection is considered the best curative option,the 5-year survival rate could reach 50%,especially in the patients with lesions less than 5 cm in diameter and good residual liver function.However curative surgery is feasible for only about 20% of patients.Transcatheter arterial chemoembolization(TACE) has been demonstrated that its short-term curative effect is better than the other nonsurgical treatments.However,it has not provided any survival benefit.Many studies have been done to improve the overall therapeutic effects of HCC with multi-modality approaches.The purpose of our trial was to evaluate the effects of TACE combined with 3-dimensional conformal radiation therapy(3-DCRT) for primary hepatic carcinoma.Methods:90 patients with primary hepatic carcinoma were randomly divided into two groups :45 were treated with 3-DCRT plus TACE and the others were treated with TACE alone.For TACE,80-120 mg cisplatin and 1 000 mg 5-Fluorouracil or 30 mg hydroxycamptothecine)were perfused into the hepatic arteries,then 50-100 mg adriamycin(or epirubicin) or 16 mg mitomycin C and iodized oil 10-30 ml were given to embolize the hepatic arteries,and followed by 1-2 mm gel form particles.TACE of 1-3 sessions was given to both groups.For the combined group,3-DCRT was given by 6MV X-ray.The patients with planned target volume(PTV) lesser than 512 cm~(3) received a total dose of 45-56 Gy,4.5-7 Gy per fraction,and the patients with PTV larger than 512 cm~(3) received a total dose of 45-56 Gy,2.5-4.5 Gy per fraction,5 times every week.Results:The response rates (CR+PR)of 3-DCRT plus TACE group and TACE alone group were 91.1% and 60%,respectively(?~(2)=11.79,P

Objective To discuss the outcomes of the clinically insignificant residual fragments after minimally invasive percutaneous nephrolithotomy. Methods 75 patients (11％) with CIRF among 655 who underwent initial MPCNL from January 2008 to December 2010 were diagnosed by CT scan.Clinical data of 68 patients (39 male and 29 female) were analyzed retrospectively.Previous open surgery hadbeen performed in 13 and ESWL in 20 cases.The median residual fragment size was 1.8 mm.The anatomical distribution of CIRF was 9 at upper pole,14 at middle,34 at lower,9 at renal ureteropelvic junction and 2 at upper and lower pole.Stone analysis showed 40 cases of calcium oxalate calculi,15 of calcium oxalate calculi mixed with carbonate calculi,2 calcium oxalate calculi mixed with uric acid,3 calcium oxalate calculi mixed with struuvite stone,3 struuvite stone,2 uric acid stone and 3 carbonate apatite mixed with struvite stone.Mean follow up was 23 months (12-36).Follow-up consisted of physical examination,serum routine,urine routine and CT imaging. Results 14(21％) patients (3 upper pole,1 middle pole,4 lower pole and 6 ureteropelvic junction) had symptomatic episodes,including 9 hematuria,2 renal colic pain,5 lower urinary tract symptoms,12 with size of CIRF ＞ 4 rmm.8 patients required surgical procedures.5 patients (1 middle,2 upper pole and 2 renal pelvis) underwent ESWL.3 patients with ureteral CIRF were performed ureteroscopic lithotripsy.The CIRF were clear after surgeries.4 paticnts with CIRF ＞ 4 mm did not have symptoms.These patients were recommended to conservational treatments.2 patients with ureteral CIRF had renal colic pains.The stones were excluded after spasmolytic analgesic treatments.27％ (3/11)CIRF located in upper pole had symptom,compared with 4％ (1/14) in middle pole,11％ (4/36) in lower pole and 67％ (6/9) in ureteropelvic junction. Conclusions CIRF can be located variously in the kidney and ureter.Most CIRF are calcium oxalate calculi and locate in the lower pole.Patients with the history of previous open surgery or SWL are more likely to get CIRF.Medium-term follow-up of CIRF revealed that CIRF located in the renal ureteropelvis junction are more likely to have clinical symptoms.

Professor LI Zhi-dao's acupuncture technique at muscle belly and its clinical experiences for the treatment of arthralgia are introduced. From aspects of TCM, anatomical physiology and sports biomechanics, the theory basis of this technique is explained, while its method is elaborated in details from acupoint selection and manipulation combined with classic medical cases. The acupuncture technique at muscle belly is applied at the muscles which already have pathological changes, avoiding re-stimulation on the pain area. It provides new thinking methods and references for acupuncture to treat arthralgia.

OBJECTIVETo explore action mechanism of electroacupuncture (EA) at "Fenglong" (ST 40) for treatment of hyperlipidemia.

METHODSForty SPF-grade SD rats were randomly divided into a normal group (group A), a model group (group B), a model diet-control group (group C), a model + EA group (group D) and model diet-control + EA group (group E), 8 cases in each one. The rats in group A were fed with normal diet continuously while those in the rest 4 groups were fed with high-fat diet to establish hyperlipidemia model. Afterwards, the rats in group C and group E were fed with normal diet, while EA at "Fenglong" (ST 40) was applied in group D and group E, 30 min per time, once a day. After 28 days of treatment, macrophage was collected in each group. Oil red O-staining was applied to detect the formation of foam cells, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISE) was adopted to measure the contents of total cholesterol (TC) in macrophage and analyze the rate of cholesterol efflux.

RESULTSThe counts of positive cells of oil red O-staining and the contents of TC in the group B, group C and group D were significantly increased compared with those in the group A (all P < 0.01). The counts of positive cells and contents of TC in the group C, group D and group E were significantly clecreased compared with those in the group B (all P < 0.01), and the decline in group D was more obvious than that in the group C (all P < 0.01). Compared with group C and group D, the counts of positive cells and contents of TC in the group E was obviously decreased (all P < 0.01), which was not statistically different from group A (P > 0.05). In the meantime, compared with group C, the rate of cholesterol efflux in group D and group E was significantly increased (both P < 0.01), and the rise in group E was more obvious than that in the group D.

CONCLUSIONThe electroacupuncture at "Fenglong" (ST 40) could significantly prohibit the transformation of macrophage into foam cell and increase rate of cholesterol efflux in macrophage, which could prevent and reverse the formation of foam cell and play an essential role in treating hyperlipidemia and stopping it from developing into a further level.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the clinical application and efficacy of ¹²⁵Ⅰ radioactive seeds implantation in the treatment of recurrent salivary gland carcinoma after external radiotherapy. METHODS: From July 2004 to July 2016, 43 cases of recurrent salivary gland carcinoma of the neck after external radiotherapy or surgery combined with external radiotherapy were treated. According to the conventional segmentation radiotherapy for head and neck cancer (once a day, 1.8-2.0 Gy each time, 5 days per week), the cumulative radiation dose of the patients in this group was calculated. In the study, 26 patients received 50-60 Gy, 7 patients received less than 50 Gy, 4 patients received 60-70 Gy, and 6 patients received more than 80 Gy (range: 80-120 Gy). The interval between the last external irradiation and local recurrence was 4-204 months, and the median interval was 48 months. Among them, 25 cases were treated with ¹²⁵Ⅰ radioactive seeds implantation only and 18 cases were treated with ¹²⁵Ⅰ radioactive seeds implantation after operation. The prescription dose was 100-140 Gy. The control rate, survival rate and disease-free survival rate were recorded to evaluate the side effects. RESULTS: The median follow-up time was 27 months (ranging from 2.5 to 149.0 months). Among them, the median follow-up time of adenoid cystic carcinoma patients was 31 months (range: 2.5-112.0 months), and the median follow-up time of mucoepidermoid carcinoma patients was 18 months (range: 5-149 months). The local control rates for 1, 3 and 5 years were 66.5%, 48.8% and 42.7%, respectively. The 1-, 3- and 5- year survival rates were 88.0%, 56.7% and 45.8%, respectively. The disease-free survival rates of 1, 3 and 5 years were 58.3%, 45.4% and 38.1%, respectively. There was no statistically significant difference in local control rate, survival rate, and disease-free survival between the radioactive seeds implantation group and the radioactive seeds implantation group after surgical resection. There were 2 cases of acute radiation reaction Ⅰ/Ⅱ and 3 cases of reaction Ⅲ or above. In the late stage of radiotherapy, there were 8 cases with Ⅰ/Ⅱ grade reaction and 3 cases with Ⅲ grade or above reaction. The incidence of radiation reactions of Grade Ⅲ and above was 7%. CONCLUSION ¹²⁵Ⅰ radioactive seeds implantation provides an alternative method for the treatment of recurrent salivary gland carcinoma after external radiotherapy. The local control rate and survival rate are improved on the premise of low incidence of side effects.

Objective To study the changes and significance of serum beta 2-microglobulin(?2-MG),cytocine interleukin-2(IL-2) in the clinical progress of childhood idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura(ITP).Methods One hundred and ten patients of childhood ITP were chosen for the test group(70 cases of primary ITP and 40 cases of recurrent ITP),and 110 normal children for the control group.Levels of serum ?2-MG and IL-2 were determined by radioimmunoassay kit and analysed with two sample t-test.Results Among the patients,the serum IL-2 levels were significantly lower and serum ?2-MG levels were significantly higher than those in control group(P0.05).Conclusion Determining serum IL-2 and ?2-MG levels has important significance to reflect the progress of disease and direct treatment.

Objective To explore the therapeutic effect of electroencephalograph(EEG)biofeedback on clinical symptoms and cognitive function of children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder(ADHD).Methods Twenty children aged(10.4?2.2)years old who were diagnosed as ADHD according to American Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of mental disorders the 4th ed received EEG biofeedback treatment.The treatment was administered by Autogenic A620 machine,? wave(4-8 Hz)was suppressed and sensory motor rate wave was strengthened(12-15 Hz)at the same time.The treatment was total 40 times.Before and after treatment,Conner's Behavior Rating Scale-parent questionnaire was administered to assess the clinical symptoms,wechsler memory scale(WMS)to assess the long-term memory,short-term memory and instantaneous memory,number cancellation test and stroop test were used to assess the cognitive process speed and selective attention,and continuous performance test(CPT)was administered to assess the attention and impulsiveness.The children in healthy control group who compared with ADHD children by one to one came from the primary or middle school near the hospital,the age difference between ADHD child and healthy control group was within 6 months.All the measurements were administered to the healthy control group.Results After the EEG biofeedback treatment,the score of behavior factor in Conners Scale decreased significantly(P0.05).Conclusions Forty sessions EEG biofeedback can improve clinical symptoms,attention,memory,selective attention and cognitive process speed of ADHD children significantly,some indicators even become normal.

To evaluate the value of silicone intubation and ring-fixed method in canalicular laceration.
●METHODS: A retrospective study of 36 cases with laceration of lacrimal canaliculus. For all the patients, microscope was used to find the broken ends of the lacrimal canaliculus, and then straight insertion was performed to the distant and near broken ends through the upper and lower lacrimal points, then passed the dacryocyst to insert nasolacrimal canal and ended up in inferior nasal meatus. Thus, clinical data about forming annular support to treat laceration of lacrimal canaliculus was presented here.
● RESULTS: All 36 patients with traumatic canalicular laceration were anastomosed successfully and all patients healed without infection. The surgery went well, intubation was smoothly, all patients were followed - up for another 6mo after the stent was removed. The accidental fall off of the stent was not observed during the follow - up. During the follow - up 10 - 18mo after extubation, when the stent was removed, 32 cases (88. 9%) recovered to normal lacrimal drainage function;4 cases ( 11. 1%) remained epiphora with obstructed lacrimal passage. All cases were no lower eyelid ectropion.
●CONCLUSlON: For the patients with inferior canalicular laceration, the silicone intubation and ring-fixed method is effective, low irritation and less complication.
