1.Metastatic carcinoma to the uterine cervix from the gastric and the colorectal:A study of 22 cases
China Oncology 2001;0(03):-
Background and purpose:It is rare that gastric and colorectal cancer metastasize to the uterine cervix. The study aimed to explore the treatment, prognosis, and the clinical features of metastatases of uterine cervix from gastric and colorectal cancer.Methods:22 patients with metastatic carcinoma to the uterine cervix from gastric and colorectal cancer were treated from 1994 to 2007 in Cancer Hospital of Zhejiang Province. The clinical pathologic parameters and prognosis were analyzed retrospectively. Results:The ages of patients ranged from 29 to 74 years old with mean of 46.7 years. The main symptom of patients was vaginal bleeding(54.5%).The primary tumor was gastric cancer in 10 cases and colorectal cancer in 12 cases.6 cases received operation alone,3 cases received radiotherapy alone,1 case received chemotherapy alone,9 cases were treated by the combination of chemotherapy, operation or radiotherapy,3 cases were not treated.According to clinical pathologic parameters,if the primary tumor was gastric cancer,it metastasesed to endometrium of uterine body;if the primary tumor was colorectal cancer, the serosa and myometrial of uterine body were invaded. In 22 cases,3 cases were still under treatment, with one lost follow-up,and the others died, the mean overall survival was 14.6 months. The mean overall survival were 11.2 months for gastric cancer and 17.9 months for colorectal cancer respectively. The mean overall survival of signet-ring cell carcinoma, mucinous adenocarcinoma and adenocarcinoma(G1-G3)were 10 months,13 months, and 18.1 months respectively. The mean overall survival for the patients treated by either radiotherapy, operation or the combination were 10.7 months,13.2 months and 17.7 months respectively. The mean overall survival for 4 patients treated by radical operation and 5 patients treated by tumor cell reduction-extinction technique were 22.3 months and 7.8 months respectively. Conclusion:The mean overall survival for the patients with metastases of uterine cervix from gastric cancer was worse than that from colorectal cancer. The patients with signet-ring cell carcinoma had the shortest mean overall survival, followed by mucinous adenocarcinoma. The primary lesion of tumor, histological types and treatment modality may be the main factors that affect the prognosis. The strategy of the treatment for the disease should be multidisciplinary therapy including surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy.
2.Chemotherapy and radiatherapy induced haemorrhagic cystitis: current progress of the treatment
Journal of International Oncology 2014;41(12):934-937
Haemorrhagic cystitis (HC) is a potentially severe complication, caused by high-dose chemotherapeutic drugs or radiation therapy (RT).It is thought that a defect caused by chemotherapeutic drugs in the glycosaminoglycan (GAG) layer may be the first step in HC development. The pathogenesis of RT-induced cystitis originates as a progressive obliteration of the small blood vessels of the bladder wall.Mesna, hyperhydration and continuous bladder irrigation have been shown effective in preventing HC.However, these preventive protocols do not always satisfactorily protect the patient from bladder injury. In recent years,GAG-replenishment therapy and hyperbaric oxygen therapy have gained some evidence exists.Currently, there is a lack of consensus about the best treatment for patients with chemotherapy and radiatherapy induced HC.Therefore, the prevention and treatment of this complication is still the focus at present.
3.Gene Coloning, Expression and Activity Assay of Survivin
China Biotechnology 2006;0(05):-
Survivin expresssion in embryo spleen, embryo kidney, embryo liver and in many cancer tissues was determined by RT-PCR, while not in the health liver tissue. Construct the engineered Escherischia coli expressing human survivin and identify the expressed human survivin by Westen-blot. The combination activity of Survivin and RhSmac was determined in vitro. L929 cells transferred with Survivin can survive longer than which transferred with BSA.
4.Clinical significance of clock-drawing test and MMSE in Alzheimer's disease
Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2004;10(3):139-140
ObjectiveTo observe the clinical sense of clock-drawing test(CDT) and Mini Mental Status Examination(MMSE) in Alzheimer's disease(AD). MethodsMMSE and CDT were used to assess the intellectual ability in AD group and control group. ResultsThe orientation force, immediate memory, ability of calculation, short-term memory and speech ability in AD group were significantly decreased than that of the control group(P<0.05). The score of CDT in AD group was markedly suppression than that of control group(P<0.01). ConclusionThe CDT and MMSE are the ideal cognitive screening test to determine the degree in Alzheimer's disease.

Objective: To clone the cDNA of human sPLA2-IIA,construct the engineered Escherischia coli expressing human sPLA2-IIA and identify the expressed human sPLA2-IIA. Methods: Total RNAs were purified from human fetal spleen. The cDNA of human sPLA2-IIA was cloned by RT-PCR and inserted into plasmid pET32a(+) between NcoI and EcoRI sites for expressing the recombinant human sPLA2-IIA in Escherischia coli BL21(DE3). The recombinants were screened by SDS-PAGE. The engineered Escherischia coli expressing trxA-human sPLA2-IIA fusion protein was established. The expressed human sPLA2-IIA exists in the form of inclusion body and accounts for about 25% of the total proteins of Escherischia coli BL21(DE3). Conclusion: the engineered E. coli methods are suitable for preparing plenty of human sPLA2-IIA which has laid base for the large-scale expression, purification and basic studies of human sPLA2-IIA.

Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 1993;0(03):-
Objective To investigate whether arsenic trioxide(As2O3)with different density is capable of affecting the invasiveness of neuroblastoma(NB)cells, and to give grounds for NB therapy with As2O3.Methods 1.Well-developed NB cells were selected and exposed to 0.75 ?mol/L,1.50 ?mol/L,3.0 ?mol/L As2O3 for 24 h;2.Collect the adherence cells, count the number and float them in nutrient medium again, add them into the transwell polycarbonate membrane plate that was covered by matrigel, there were 2?104 NB cells in each well;3.After 24 h,take off the membrane, fix the cells which cross the membrane with mehanol and dye them with hematoxylin;4.Observe the NB cells and count them,so the capability of invasion of LA-N-5 was evaluated by transwell chamber assay. Results After 24 h with the different density As2O3,the number of invading LA-N-5 cells was significantly lower in As2O3 group than that in control group(the number of invading cells of the As2O3 group was 28.0?4.0,19.33?4.16,6.33?1.53,respectively,the cell number of the control group was 46.33?6.11)(P=0.013,0.003,0);among the experiment groups, there was no difference between 0.75 ?mol/L and 1.50 ?mol/L(P=0.06),and it was significantly different between 0.75 ?mol/L and 3.0 ?mol/L,1.50 ?mol/L and 3.0 ?mol/L(P=0,0.007),the number of invading LA-N-5 cells of 3.0 ?mol/L As2O3 was the least. Conclusions As2O3 could inhibit the invasive potential of NB cells;the inhibitory action of 3.0 ?mol/L As2O3 is the most.

Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2006;12(3):185-187
ObjectiveTo explore the neural basis of visual completion for the occluded faces.Methods2 types of visual stimuli were presented randomly: pictures of complete faces, pictures of incomplete faces(the occluded part was the left-top quadrant).Subjects were instructed to perform a gender discrimination task while event-related potentials(ERPs) were recorded.ResultsCompared with complete faces, incomplete faces enhanced the amplitude of N1 on the occipito-temporal scalp bilaterally, with the right hemisphere advantage. The peak latency of N2 elicited by incomplete faces was delayed compared with that of complete faces.ConclusionThe enhancement of N1 is related to visual completion processing that requires additional time.
