Herald of Medicine 2015;(10):1384-1386
Objective To provide reference for clinical pharmacist participating in management of nausea and vomiting induced by tumor chemotherapy. Methods The process of pharmaceutical care for a patient with severe vomiting caused by adjuvant chemotherapy after gastric cancer operation was described. Antiemetic application and drug adverse reactions were analyzed. A new treatment plan was given by clinical pharmacist. Results The suggestions were adopted by clinician. The vomiting was controlled and drug adverse reactions were dealt with. Conclusion To reduce the risk and improve the income of antiemetic, clinical pharmacists should pay more attention to clinical practice guideline, drug interaction and adverse reactions, provide the most suitable suggestions for clinicians according to pharmacology and evidence-based medicine.

Journal of Shanghai Jiaotong University(Medical Science) 2006;0(06):-
Objective To compare the graft function of 2 methods of kidney harvesting, the modified method of combined liver and kidney procurement and rapid en bloc kidney procurement. Methods The clinical data of 220 cadaveric renal transplantation recipients were collected(12 months follow-up),174 cases from en bloc kidney procurement and 46 from combined liver and kidney procurement. The average harvesting time, the incidence of renal vein injury,1 year kidney survival and incidence of acute rejection were compared between the two methods. Results In average harvesting time and incidence of renal vein injury, the en bloc kidney procurement were better than the method of combined liver and kidney procurement. However, the method of combined liver and kidney procurement was better than the en bloc kidney procurement in 1 year kidney survival,1 year incidence of acute rejection and average warm ischemia time. There was no difference in 1 year survival of patients and 24 h,1 week and 1 year graft function after transplantation. Conclusion Although the method of combined liver and kidney procurement is better than the en bloc kidney procurement in 1 year kidney survival and 1 year incidence of acute rejection, there is no difference between the 2 methods in 1 year survival of patients and graft function after transplantation.

OBJECTIVE:To explore the role of clinical pharmacists in cancer pain management. METHODS:The cases were presented to investigate the content and method of clinical pharmacists participating in cancer pain management. RESULTS:The clinical pharmacists could provide professional analgesic recommendations and participated in the formulation of individual analge-sic plan. By carrying out pharmaceutical care and patient education, clinical pharmacists could find potential medication risk,cor-rected medication errors and improved patient compliance. By carrying out patient family members training, clinical pharmacists could help to strengthen patient support system and improve cancer pain management effectiveness. CONCLUSIONS:Clinical phar-macists participating in cancer pain management can promote rational use of analgesics, guarantee the safety of drug use,and im-prove cancer pain management.

Objective To evaluate the incidence and severity of pulmonary embolism (PE) in patients with different leg deep vein thrombosis (DVT) by computed tomography pulmonary angiography (CTPA).Methods A total of 145 cases who had been confirmed DVT and undergone CTPA were retrospectively analyzed. The DVTs were divided into left side DVT,right side DVT,and bilateral lower DVT groups. The incidence of PE was compared among different groups.CT obstruction index (CTI) was used to estimate the severity of pulmonary artery obstruction.DVT/PEs with CTI were compared among different groups. Results The incidence of PE of the bilateral lower DVT group was 71.4%,which was higher than that in left side DVT group (39.2%).However,no significant difference was found between bilateral lower DVT group and right side DVT group (52.9%) (P > 0.05).The CTI of the bilateral lower DVT (30.20±14.20)% was higher than that of the left side DVT (19.26 ± 14.02)% and the right side DVT (18.56 ±11.79) % (P < 0.05).Conclusions The bilateral lower DVT was more likely complicated with PE than the left side DVT,the severity of pulmonary artery obstruction of the bilateral lower DVT with PE patient was higher than that of single side DVT with PE patient.

Objective To observe the change of mitochondrion membrane potential(??m) in apoptosis induced by an iron chelator(deferoxamine,DFO),and to explore the mechanism of this apoptosis in human leukemia-60(HL-60) cells. Methods HL-60 cells were co-cultivated with various concentration of DFO and FeCl_3 for certain time, resultingin status of intracellular iron deprivation and rich iron.Cell vital force was determinded by the MTT method. The cells were examined by phase contrast microscopy, flow cytometry(FCM) for evidence of apoptosis, and also by FCM for ??m.The transcription of the apoptogene of bax was detected by hybridization in situ. Results The cell growth rate assumed descent tendency.DFO could induce the apoptosis and descent ??m of HL-60 cells(P

Objective:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of oral prednisone acetate and oral prednisone acetate combined with local injection of triamcinolone acetonide for the prevention of esophageal stricture after endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) for early esophageal cancer and precancerous lesions. Methods:Data of 52 patients with early esophageal cancer or precancerous lesions hospitalized from December 2014 to February 2019 in Zhongda Hospital of Southeast University were analyzed retrospectively. They were divided into the control group (group A, n=20), oral hormone group (group B, n=17) and oral medication combined with local injection group (group C, n=15). The rates of stenosis and refractory stenosis, endoscopic dilatation times after ESD, time interval of first dilation after ESD and adverse events related to the operation and administration of glucocorticoids were compared among the three groups. Results:The differences in stenosis rates [85.0% (17/20) VS 47.1% (8/17) VS 46.7% (7/15), P<0.01], rates of refractory stenosis [75.0% (15/20) VS 23.5% (4/17) VS 20.0% (3/15), P<0.01], and endoscopic dilatation times [3.50 (2.25, 6.00) VS 0.00 (0.00, 2.50) VS 0.00 (0.00, 2.00), P<0.01] were statistically significant among the three groups. In pairwise comparison, the above indicators in group B and group C were significantly lower or less than those in group A ( P<0.05), but there were no statistical differences between group B and group C ( P>0.05). The time intervals of the first dilation after ESD were significantly different among the three groups (27.7±9.4 d VS 110.1±46.0 d VS 147.4±9.4 d, P<0.01). In pairwise comparison, the first dilation intervals in group B and group C were longer than that in group A ( P<0.01), and this indicator in group C was longer than that in group B ( P<0.01). Two patients in the control group developed perforation after ESD but they were treated actively and recovered finally. No severe ESD, steroid, or perforation related adverse events occurred in any other patient of the three groups. Conclusion:Both oral prednisone and oral prednisone combined with local injection of triamcinolone acetonide after ESD can effectively and safely prevent esophageal stricture after ESD. Oral administration combined with local injection of corticosteroids can prolong the time interval of the first dilation after ESD, which is beneficial to the psychological recovery and the improvement of patients’ life quality after the operation.
