Objective To observe the effect of Wuyaojing granules(WYJG) on immunological function of mice.Methods Mice were randomly divided into six groups:the high-dosage WYJG group(6.0g/kg),the midst-dosage WYJG group (2.0g/kg),the low-dosage WYJG group(1.0g/kg),the Lindera aggregate group (0.9g/kg),the korean Ginseng group (2.0g/kg) and the normal control group(H2O).After a period of 30-day treatment,the effects of WYJG on the T lymphocyte transformations capacity induced by ConA,delayed hypersensitivity leaded by DNFB,the number of lymphocyte B,serum level of hemolysin and NK activity were observed. Results The high-dosage and the low-dosage WYJG could significantly increase T lymphocyte transformations capacity induced by ConA(P0.05).Conclusion WYJG can significantly increase T lymphocyte transformations capacity induced by ConA and strengthen delay hypersensitivity leaded by DNFB.
3.The effects of the neotype hand-arm sling on shoulder subluxation and transferring movement in hemiplegic stroke patients

Objective To explore the effects of the neotype hand-arm sling on shoulder subluxation and transferring movement in hemiplegic stroke patients.Methods Thirty hemiplegic stroke survivors with shoulder subluxation and poor elbow flexor muscle tone (<2 on the Modified Ashworth Scale).were selected and randomly divided into three groups.Group 1 was trained in static upright standing,plus 10 min of sit-to-stand training and 20 min of walking training with no support for the hemiplegic,subluxed shoulder.Group 2 did the same training using a bagtype shoulder sling,and group 3 used the neotype hand-arm sling.Index finger palpation was used to evaluate the degree of shoulder subluxation,and the Five Times Sit-to-Stand (FTSST) and Timed Up-and-Go (TUG) times for the three groups were compared.Results In the static standing training,both the bag-type sling and the neotype hand-arm sling could effectively reduce shoulder subluxation.However,after 10 min of sit-to-stand training the neotype hand-arm sling was found to be significantly superior to the bag-type shoulder sling in improving shoulder subluxation,with the latter having no effect on shoulder subluxation.In the 20 rin of walking training,the neotype hand-arm sling provided significantly more effective support than the bag-type shoulder sling,although both could support the shoulders.Those using the neotype sling had shorter FTSST times,though there were no significant differences in the average TUG times.Conclusions The neotype slings can more effectively counter shoulder subluxation in upright stance,especially during sit-to-stand maneuvers and walking.It might have positive effects on transferring ability.

6.Allogeneic adipose-derived stem cells combined with nano collagen-based bone for repair of ulna bone defects

BACKGROUND:With the continuous development of medical model, high-level treatment and rehabilitation for bone defects are required. Therefore, bone tissue engineering technique based on stem cel culture has become a more important component of bone defect repair.
OBJECTIVE:To explore and analyze the feasibility of alogeneic adipose-derived stem cels combined with nano colagen-based bone for repair of ulna bone defects.
METHODS:Seventy adult female New Zealand rabbits were selected, 10 of which were used to isolate and culture adipose-derived stem cels, another 60 were randomized into scaffold group, scaffold+bone autograft group, scaffold+alogeneic adipose-derived stem cels group, with 20 rabbits in each group. The middle part of the ulna was resected to construct 12-mm bone defect models in the three groups, and then, corresponding materials were implanted. At 6, 9 and 12 weeks after implantation, bone mineral density was detected; at 14 weeks after implantation, the rates of solid fusion rate, non-solid fusion, and false joint were observed.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Compared with the other two groups, the rate of solid fusion was significantly higher and the rates of non-solid fusion and false joint were lower in the scaffold+alogeneic adipose-derived stem cels group (P < 0.05). Compared with the scaffold group, the rate of solid fusion was higher and the rates of non-solid fusion and false joint were significantly lower in the scaffold+bone autograft group (P< 0.05). The bone mineral density increased dramaticaly at 6, 9, 12 weeks after implantation of scaffold+alogeneic adipose-derived stem cels, which was significantly higher than that in the scaffold group and scaffold+bone autograft group (P < 0.05). Compared with the scaffold group, the bone mineral density in the scaffold+bone autograft group was significantly higher (P < 0.05). These findings indicate that alogeneic adipose-derived stem cels combined with nano colagen-based bone has exact fusion effects with a higher bone mineral density.

Human avian-origin influenza A (H7N9)virus is a novel subtype of avian influenza A virus,which firstly emerged at the end of March 2013 in Shanghai and Anhui province.It rapidly spread in China within a short time,causing high morbidity and mortality,arousing fear and panic in public,and attracting extensive attention worldwide.The analysis of human H7N9 avian influenza virus gene shows a high affinity for α-2,6-linked sialic acid receptors expressed on human respiratory epithelial cells.At present,the sporadic cases of human H7N9 avian influenza virusare occasionally reported with an epidemic peaksat winter and spring.This article reviews clinical features,epidemiology and genetic characteristics of H7N9 avian influenza virus,proving scientific evidences foreffective prevention and control of H7N9 virus infection.

To reach the target, the quality control (QC) should be performed from the study design to conduction, from the analysis to conclusion. We discuss the relationship between data management and biostatistics from the statistical point of view, and emphasize the importance of the statistical concept and methods in the improvement of data quality in clinical data management.

10. Establishment of an acute radioactive skin injury model in wistar rats

BACKGROUND: Nowadays, the ray types, animal species, irradiation modes and sites used in the establishment of animal models of radioactive skin injury in China are not consistent. Meanwhile, there is no uniform standard for the prevention and treatment of radioactive skin injury in clinical practice. OBJECTIVE: To establish an ideal rat model of acute radioactive skin injury. METHODS: Sixty Wistar rats were randomly divided into 32, 38, 45 Gy X-ray groups (n=18) and non-irradiated group (n=6). Three X-ray irradiated groups (32, 38, 45 Gy) received single irradiation of the right posterior buttock, 300 cGy/min, 100 cm between the skin and irradiated source, for 10.67, 12.67, and 15 minutes respectively. No irradiation was given in the non-irradiated group. The study protocol was approved by the Animal Ethic Committee of Shanxi Cancer Hospital (approval No. GDY2018001). RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: There was no accidental death after irradiation. The body mass of the rats decreased within 3 days after irradiation, and then increased. Irradiated wound was severest at about 15 days after irradiation, and the body mass dropped again, and returned to normal 2 days later. Two weeks after radiation, with the increase of X-ray dose, the structures of rat’s skin appendages were destroyed and a large number of inflammatory cells were infiltrated, indicating that the acute radiation skin injury was dose-dependent within a certain range. On the other hand, with the increase of irradiation time, the skin wound in the 38 and 45 Gy groups gradually deepened. At the same dose, the severity of acute radiation skin injury was also positively correlated with the irradiation time. After 6 hours to 15 days of 38 Gy irradiation on the rat skin, macrophages were activated, and the expression of Nod-like receptor pyrin domain-containing protein 3 was enhanced, indicating obvious inflammatory response, and thereby verifying the reliability of the model. To conclude, it is an ideal animal model of acute X-ray skin injury model made by the X-ray linear accelerator, which is easily observed and obtained, with obvious skin inflammation expression. This model is also of high safety and strong tolerance.
