1.Research progress of nedaplatin in the treatment of nasopharyngeal carcinoma
Journal of International Oncology 2012;39(9):680-682
Inductive chemotherapy and concurrent chemoradiotherapy have been a focus on the clinical research in the treatment of nasopharyngeal carcinoma.Cisplatin,as a kind of representative platinum drug, can improve the curative effect, but it also brings a lot of side effects to nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients. The new kind of platinum drug-nedaplatin,can not only guarantee the curative effect but also reduce the side effects of chemotherapy.

M2 type of pyruvate kinase (PKM2) is one of the most important regulatory molecules in glycolysis, which at high level is a major feature of tumor cells.Besides,PKM2 also regulates gene transcription and cell cycle, promoting the formation, invasion and migration of tumors.Meanwhile,PKM2 can beregulated by many transcription factors, oncogene proteins,miRNA and intermediate metabolites.Extensive studies indicated that PKM2 plays an important role in the developmental tumor. In view of the significance of PKM2 in tumor cells,it holds promise for diagnosis and treatment benefits.

International Journal of Cerebrovascular Diseases 2006;0(11):-
Transient ischemic attack(TIA)is a common ischemic cerebrovascular disease, and the incidence of secondary ischemic stroke and cardiovascular events is very high.It needs to be assessed and managed urgently. The article presents the contents of emergency assessment of TIA,and emphasizes the importance of overall assessment.
6.Risk factors for healthcare-associated infections caused by Candida
Chinese Journal of Infection Control 2014;(4):215-217,221
Objective To explore the risk factors for healthcare-associated infection (HAI)caused by Candidain a hospital. Methods 64 patients with healthcare-associated(HA)Candidainfection in a hospital between January 201 1 and October 2013 were selected as case group, and 64 patients without HACandidainfection during the same period were as control group, clinical data of two groups of patients were analyzed. Results The mainCandidacau-sing HAI were Candidaalbicans(68. 75% ),followed by Candidatropicalis(15. 62% ),Candidaglabrata (9.38% )andCandidakrusei(6.25% ).The major infection sites were respiratory tract(67.19% ),urinary tract (18.75% )and digestive tract(10.94% ). Univariate analysis showed the risk factors for HA Candidainfection were age, length of hospital stay, diabetes, and malignant tumor and so on;multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that important risk factors for HACandidainfection were age(OR95% CI:2.57-33.67),length of hospi-tal stay(OR95% CI:2.17-25.37),malignant tumor(OR95% CI:1.04-15.23),chemotherapy(OR95% CI:1.76-20.63),and use of respirator(OR95% CI:4.67-96.37).Conclusion Risk factors for HACandidainfection are complicated,in order to reduce the incidence of HA Candidainfection, risk factors should be considered, and preventive measures according to risk factors should be made.

Objective To observe the changes of body weight, fat mass and skeletal muscle mass of rats after 4 weeks of intermittent fasting, and explore relationship with autophagy in skeletal muscle,so as to provide theoretical basis for intermittent fasting.Method Twenty male Sprague Dawley rats were randomly divided into a control group (Con) and an intermittent fasting group (IF),each of 10.The rats of IF group were forbidden to eat food every Wednesday and Friday, and the body weight of both groups was recorded weekly. After 4 weeks,Dual-Energy X-Ray Absorption (DEXA) was used to analyze the body fat mass, then the bilateral soleus was separated to record the wet weight and measure the cross-sectional area of the soleus fibers by testing laminin with immunofluorescence confocal laser scanning microscope. The form of autophagic vacuole of soleus was observed using a transmission electron microscopy. The expression of autophagy-related protein LC3,p62 and regulating protein AMPK,pAMPK and ULK1 were measured using Western blotting.Result After 4 weeks of intermittent fasting, the weight and fat mass of IF were significantly lower than those of Con (P<0.01),but there were no significant differences between them in wet weight and cross-sectional area of soleus (P>0.05).The expressions of AMPK,p-AMPK,ULK1 in IF were significantly higher than those in Con (P<0.01).Compared with Con,the expression of LC3-Ⅱ/LC3-Ⅰ of IF increased significantly, while the expression of p62 decreased significantly (P<0.01).Conclusion Four weeks of intermittent fasting decreases the fat mass significantly, and control the weight efficiently.Intermittent fasting can maintain the skeletal muscle mass by promoting moderate autophagy through the AMPK-ULK1 pathway. It should be a potential lose weight method for further research.
8.Therapeutic effect of lacrimal balloon surgery on lacrimal duct obstruction in infants
International Eye Science 2017;17(9):1796-1798
AIM:To evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of balloon dilatation in infants with lacrimal passage obstruction.METHODS:Totally 86 patients (116 eyes) with lacrimal duct obstruction from July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2016 were randomly divided into two groups according to the digital table. The observation group (43 cases, 60 eyes) were operated with balloon dilatation and the control group (43 cases, 56 eyes) were treated with duct exploratory operation. The patients were followed up for 6mo to compare the efficacy.RESULTS:At the 6mo postoperatively, the primary cure rate and total cure rate in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group. There was significant difference between the two groups (P<0.05).CONCLUSION:Balloon dilatation operation is safe, and its clinical efficacy is better than lacrimal duct exploratory operation, is an effective way to treat lacrimal duct obstruction in infants.

Objectiye To reveal epidemiology of malignant tumor in Quanzhou area of Fujian province. Methods Medical record of adults who received health check-up between 2006 and 2010 was collected to estimate the incidence of malignant tumor. Chi-square test was used for data analyses. Results Nearly 12 323 individuals received an annual health check-up during 2006 and 2010,177 of whom were found to have malignant tumors. The identification rate of malignant tumors was 2. 87‰ per year, and the most commonly seen cancer included liver cancer ( 42. 93% ), lung cancer ( 20. 90% ), oesophageal cancer (9. 03% ), cervical cancer ( 8.47% ) and gastric cancer (6. 78% ). Those of 60 to 70 years old showed the highest incidence of cancer. Conclusion Annual health check-up may be helpful to identify early-stage malignant tumors.
