The time that industrial microbiology alone took the course is short,so it requires a discussion about reform on teaching content and method.The thesis first discusses the reforms on teaching content from basic theory knowledge combining to scientific research,experiment and producing practice.Then reforms the teaching method,such as adopting the computer-assisted instruction(CAI) pattern,combining the problem-based learning(PBL) and case-based studying(CBS) each other,and leading into partly bilingual education method.By all above investigation and discussion practice in two aspects,the students produces deep interest to industrial microbiology,and reached the purpose of teaching reform.

Objective To explore the plasticity of transdifferentiation of epidermal stem cells (ESCs) into corneal epithelial cells. Methods Epidermal stem cells enriched by adhering to type Ⅳ collage were induced in vitro by coculture with corneal stromal fibroblasts. The method of HCC were used to show the expression of K12 which is expressed specially in corneal epithelial cells.Results ESCs with greater proliferation potential strongly expressed K19 and ?_ 1 - integrin. After two-week induction, the K12 positive cells could be detected. Conclusion The data suggested that the epidermal stem cells have the potential to transdifferentiate into corneal epithelial cells in vitro.

The response of murine lymphoreticular tissue with Special reference to regional lymph node after implantation of Ehrlich ascites carcinoma cells was investigated histologically and ultrastructurally. The tumor induced a vigorous histological response in both regional and nonregional lymph nodes that was proliferation of immunoblasts with enlargement of paracortical area in early stage and enlargement, fusion of germinal centers with an increased number of plasma cells in the medullary cords during the late stage of tumor growth.The results suggested that the response of lymph nodes might be mainly related to cell-mediated immune mechanism in the early stage and humoral immunity during the late stage of tumor growth. Regional lymph node gave reaction earlier and more vigorously in participating cell-mediated immunity, nonregional lymph node might be more significantly involved in humoral immunity. It was observed ultrastructurally that sinus histiocyte engulfed tumor cell in which the cooperation with lymphocyte might be necessary. The experimental results indicated that the increased number of immunoblast in paracortex may be considered as an indicator for antitumor cellmediated immunity with an important prognostic significance for host bearing tumor.

AIM: To investigate the topography of the anterior surface of the human crystalline lens. ·METHODS: A Non-contact three-coodinate measuring system was utilized to scan the anterior surfaces of 8 human eye lenses in vitro. Acquired data were processed and computer models of the anterior lens surfaces were made using the program (Surfacer v 10.0). The to-pography of the anterior lens surfaces were established. Radii of curvature were measured at preset spots over the lens surfaces and two way analysis of variance was performed. The data were analysed to determine whether the radius of curvature varied systematically with the position on the lens surface from which the measurement was made. Lens surface asymmetric index (LSAI) was defined and calculated. The vertical and horizontal meridians of the modeled lens were calculated, and the best curve fit to any conic section was determined. ·RESULTS: The topography of the anterior lens surface indicated that the central zone (the central radius of curvature is (9.09±0.80)mm was steeper than that of the peripheral zone(17.05±2.20)mm. Two way analysis of variance of the radii of curvature at preset spots over the lens surfaces showed that the differences were statistically significant (P ＜ 0.05). Curve regression of radii of curvature at preset spots and their distances to the surface center revealed that the correlation of them was the third power function. LSAI increased steadily from the lens surface center(0.013±0.005) to the periphery(0.184± 0.065). The dots on the horizontal and vertical meridians were fit to four kinds of curves, and the determinate coefficient of hyperbola fit were the largest (0.9989-0.9999). ·CONCLUSION: The anterior lens surface is imperfectly rotational symmetric. Moreover, the nearer to the center, the more rotational symmetric it is. Radii of curvature increase nonlinearly from the surface center to the periphery. Anterior lens surface is typically hyperbolic.

Objective Investigation and analysis of intelligence and psychomotor function in children born after implementingt universal salt iodization(USI). Methods Historical serious illness areas of water iodine below 10μg/L were selected as study sites, water iodine in 50 - 100 μg/L in the historical non-endemic areas were as control points in Henan, 2008. Cluster sampling was used to select children aged 6 - 15 years as observing subjects,IQ were measured with CRT- Man Test(CRT-C2). A "Tianjin Medical psychomotor test battery" (JPB) was carry out to test psychomotor function. Results In IDD regions 230 children were surveyed post-USI and 1284 children preUSI. The IQs post and pre USI were 99.3 and 99.9, respectively, and the proportion of IQ ≤69 were 2.17%(6/230) and 2.80%(36/1284), respectively. In non-IDD regions 650 children were surveyed post-USI and 2079children pre-USI. The IQs post and pre USI were 95.3 and 93.8, respectively, and the proportion of IQ ≤ 69 were 2.31%(15/650) and 3.37%(70/2079), respectively. In IDD regions, the abnormal rate of T scores and damage index post USI were 3.6%(2/56), 5.3%(3/56), respectively, significantly lower than pre USI [18.1%(29/160),18.1%(29/160), x2 = 7.54, 6.86, all P ＜ 0.01]. Conclusions USI could increase the IQs of children and decrease the positive rate of JPB, and significantly improve the quality of whole nation and persistently eliminating IDD.

Objective To isolate and culture the hair follicle Bulge cells of rats and study their morphological, immunological characteristics. Methods Hair follicle Bulge obtained by micromanipulation and enzyme digestion was cultured in intro. The morphological features and numbers of Bulge cells were identified and counted with light microscopy. Immunocytochemical staining was used to detect expressing of K19 and ?_ 1integrin in cultured cells. Results Bulge cells after enzyme digestion pasted rapidly. Cells were small and round, paving stone-shape, and had a large ratio of nuclear to cytoplasm. The characteristics suggested a primitive morphologic feature. Cells growth well and could maintain low differentiation and higher reproductive activity, they co-expressing K19 and ?_ 1integrin, immunofluorescence staining showed the cells expressed ?6-integrin strongly, weakly or no expressing CD71. Conclusion This culture system can amplify a lot of pure hair follicle Bulge cells in short time. We successfully isolate and culture the hair follicle Bulge cells of rats in intro and can keeping its property for a long time.

AIM:To investigate the apoptotic pathway of MCF-7 breast cancer induced by the grub extract in vitro.METHODS:MTT assay was used to determine the effect of the grub extract on proliferation of MCF-7 human breast cancer cell line and cell toxicity.Morphological changes of the apoptosis in cancer cells were observed by HE staining through invert microscope,light microscope,AO/EB double fluorescent staining under fluorescent microscope.FCM was used to assay the change of apoptotic rate.The expression of Bcl-2,Fas,caspase-9,caspase-3 in apoptotic pathway was detected with immunocytochemical method before and after exposure to the grub extract,and the effect of that on apoptotic pathway was explored.RESULTS:(1)The MTT test showed that the growth of MCF-7 human breast cancer cell line was significantly inhibited by the grub extract in dose and time dependent manners.The inhibitory rate in exposure group was significantly different from that in control group(P

Objective To investigate the feasibility of the transdifferentiation of hair follicle bulge cells into corneal epithelial cells in vitro. Methods The hair follicle bulge cells from 7- to 8-day SD rats were isolated and cultured in vitro, then co-cultured with rabbit corneal limbal stroma in transwell-cultured system. The differentiation and development of hair follicle bulge cells were observed, and immunocytochemical staining were used to detect expression of K19 and K12 in hair follicle bulge cells. Results The cultured bulge cells possesed high proliferation and low differentiation, co-expressed K19 and ?_ 1 integrin, but part of them expressed K12 after 2-week co-culture with rabbit corneal limbal stroma in transwell-cultured system. Conclusion Rat hair follicle bulge cells could transdifferentiate into corneal epithelial cells induced by corneal limbal stroma in vitro.
