Objective To investigate the effects of pollution on nonspecific immune function of the children living nearby a municipal solid waste landfill.Methods The concentration of lysozyme and SIgA of saliva came from 951 children who were selected from 3 schools nearby the landfill were analyzed by cluster sampling while the outside air pollutants were detected in 2006.The high-exposure group included 360 students living in a radius of less than 2 km from the landfill,the low exposure group was consist of 361 students living in a radius of 2-5 km,the others 230 students living in more than 5 km were taken as the control group.Results The results showed that the pollutants levels were concerned with the location of the landfill,the nearer to the landfill,the higher concentration of CH4,NO2,SO2,NH3,H2S and PM10 except CO.The level of saliva lysozyme ranked as high exposure group,low exposure group and the control group were 61.40,71.37 and 76.10 ?g/ml and the same rank for SIgA were 204.11,224.28,248.44 ?g/ml,with significant differences (P

Objective To explore the expression of 10 kDa interferon-gamma-induced protein(IP-10)in pathological scar and its role in the pathogenesis of pathological scar.Methods Imrnunohistochemistry was performed to detect the expression and distribution of IP-10 in 28 patients with keloid(group K),34 patients with hypertrophic scar(group HS),and 20 normal controls(group N).The data were collected and analyzed statistically.Results The expression of IP-10 was significantly higher in groups K and HS than in group N(P＜0.01),but no significant difference in the expression of IP-10 was found between groups K and HS.Conclusion IP-10 may enhance the formation of pathological scar by attracting T lymphocytes and inducing immune/inflammatory response.

AIM: To analyze the effect of human amniotic homogenate extract on corneal neovascularization after corneal alkali burn in the process of pigment epithelium derived factor (PEDF) and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) expression and the effect of corneal neovascularization.METHODS: Totally 32 patients with corneal alkali burn were selected from June 2015 to June 2016 in Foshan,and were randomly divided into Group A and Group B,with a total of 37 eyes.Group A of 17 cases,with a total of 19 eyes,were treated with 40mg/L human amniotic homogenate extract;Group B (n=15),and 18 eyes,treated with 3g/L prednisolone eye drops.In the treatment of 1,4,7,14,21 and 28d at different time points,we observed the growth of corneal neovascularization,and detected the expression of PEDF and VEGF during angiogenesis.RESULTS: Group A of patients in the use of human amniotic homogenate extract after the treatment,the expression level of PEDF was significantly higher than that in Group B(P=0.001),after 28d treatment,the expression level of PEDF reached 0.721±0.314.While patients in Group B the expression level of PEDF was only 0.538±0.253.Two groups had significant difference between the expression level of PEDF (P<0.05).The expression level of VEGF in Group A was lower than in Group B at different time points in the test.After the treatment of 28d patients in the Group A,the expression level of VEGF was 0.152±0.020,in Group B the expression level of VEGF was0.302±0.031.Two groups of patients with VEGF expression level between the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The patients number in Group A with corneal neovascularization was significantly lower than that in Group B,the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).CONCLUSION: Human amniotic homogenate extract can increase the expression of PEDF in corneal neovascularization after corneal alkali burn,inhibit the expression of VEGF and the proliferation of corneal neovascularization.

Objective To exPlore the effect of mammalian target of raPamycin ( mTOR ) inhibitor eVerolimus on radiosensitiVity of human non_small cell lung cancer cell line in vitro by using eVerolimus to inhibit mTOR signaling Pathway of A549. Methods Human non_small cell lung cancer cell line A549 was subjected to radiation alone or in combination with eVerolimus treatment. The 50%inhibition concentration ( IC50 ) of eVerolimus in A549 cells was detected by methylthiazol tetrazolium ( MTT) assay in vitro. EVerolimus at the 20%inhibition concentration ( IC20 ) was used to Pretreat A549 cells for 24 h. Cells were then irradiated by X_ray with 2,4,6,8 Gy. The cell surViVal fraction was comPuted by clone formation. Cell surViVal curVe was fitted by multitarget one_hit model, and mean lethal dose ( D0 ), dose quasithreshold ( Dq ), surViVal fraction at 2 Gy ( SF2 ), and sensitization enhancement ratio (SER) were calculated. The exPression ofγ_H2AX was determined by Western blotting and then the relatiVe gray Values were analyzed. Results EVerolimus significantly imProVed the sensitiVity of A549 cells to radiation. By a orthogonal experiment, the influence of different ratio of phosphorus and potassium fertilizers on imperatorin, isoimperatorin and psoralen contents and yield of Glehnia littoralis were studied. The results showed that root dry weight and the yield of G. littoralis increased when reasonably applied phosphorus fertilizer combined with potassium fertilizer within a certain range. And the influence of phosphorus fertilizer was greater than that of potassium fertilizer. The optimal value of root dry weight and yield achieved at both P2O5 360 kg x hm(-2), K2O 270 kg x hm(-2) and P2O5 360 kg x hm(-2), K2O 180 kg x hm(-2). The effects of different phosphorus and potassium treatments on the content of imperatorin, isoimperatorin and psoralen in G. littoralis were determined, which shows that the content increased with the moderate increase of phosphorus and potassium. And the effects of phosphorus fertilizer were more significantly. The isoimperatorin content achieved the largest value at P2O5 360 kg x hm(-2), K2O 270 kg x hm(-2), also a larger content of imperatorin and psoralen. The imperatorin content is the largest when applied P2O5 360 kg x hm(-2), K2O 180 kg x hm(-2), and the isoimperatorin content was higher as well. So that the treatment of P2O5 360 kg x hm(-2), K2O 180 kg x hm(-2) are suitable for promote to the agricultural production, which could improve the quality and yield of G. littoralis.
