Objective To evaluate the safety and efficacy of nephron sparing surgery (NSS) for renal angiomyolipoma (RAML). Methods Thirty-nine patients of RAML were underwent NSS. Tumor enucleation was done in 23, partial nephrectomy in 16, and selective arterial embolization in 2. Results The average diameter of enucleated tumor was 5.8 cm(from 3.0 to 14.0 cm), the average of blood loss was 190 ml(from 75 to 800 ml),none of the patients developed hemorrhage or urinary fistula. The average follow-up of 38 patients was 48 months(from 1 to 120 months). Postoperative serum level of creatinine was stable, no patients had a local recurrence. Conclusions NSS can be performed with satisfactory result in RAML. Effective control of hemorrhage and conservancy of renal function are the key points.

Objective To study on the CDKN2/P16 gene in primary osteosarcoma.Method By using molecular biological methods that inclued genome DNA extraction from paraffined tissue and PCR SSCP analysis technique, we studied alternations of CDKN2/P16 gene in 25 primary osteosarcomas.Results (1)The deletions frequency in differentiation degree of osteosarcomas was① bone brood cell, 16.7% ;② cartilage brood cell,12.5% ;③ Fiber brood cell:20% ,(P >0.05).(2)The deletion frequency in male patients was 17.6% , female patients 12.5% ,(P >0.05).(3)In early metastatic osteosarcomas the deletion rate was 33.3% ,which was significantly higher than that of the control group with the rate of 10.5% (P< 0.05).(4)The deletion rate was 16% and the mutations were not found.Conclusion (1)The deletion rate was 16% and the mutations were not found.This suggests that the deletions of CDKN2/P16 gene were closely related to the genesis of primary osteosarcoma and that the main type of the alternation of CDKN2/P16 gene was deletion.(2)In early metastatic osteosaarcomas the deletion rate was 33.3% , which was significantly higher than that of the control group with the rate of 10.5% .This indicates to great extend that the deletions of CDKN2/P16 gene were closely related to the metastatic ability.(3)The deletions frequency had no significant relationship with differentiation degree of osteosarcomas, so was with the sex of the patient.

Objective To explore the clinical value when treating cervical cancer of supplementing radiotherapy with hyperbaric oxygen treatment. Methods Fifty-eight cervical cancer patients were randomly divided into 2 groups; the HBO group (n=28) received radiotherapy combined with hyperbaric oxygen treatment; a control group (n = 30) received only radiotherapy. Objective To observe the interventional effect of Qingqihuatan Decoction on airway inflammation and inflammatory reaction of lung tissue in asthmatic mouse.Methods Forty-five BALB/c mice were randomly divided into the normal control group(CON),asthmatic model group(MOD),dexamethasone group(TRE),Qingqihuatan Decoction group(X1) and Qingqihuatan Decoction combined dexamethasone group(X2).The asthmatic mouse model was established by the sensitization and inhalation of OVA and aluminium hydroxide gel.The bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) was performed the cell counts and eosinophil counts,and the pathological changes of lung tissue were observed.Results Compared with CON group,BALF cell count and eosinophil count in the model group were increased obviously,which in the treatment group were significantly decreased.The effect of the X1 group and X2 group had statistical difference between on 5 d and 15 d.(P＜0.05 or P＜0.01);the treatment groups could reduce the pathogenical infiltration,lung bullae production and airway epithelial thickening of mouse lung tissue,especially the inflammation damage in X2 group was mild.Conclusion Qingqihuatan Decoction can relieve the airway inflammation and improves the lung tissue inflammatory response in model mouse.

To study the effects of Pingchuan Recipe, a compound traditional Chinese herbal medicine for treating bronchial asthma, on macrophage inflammatory protein-1alpha (MIP-1alpha) and immunoglobulin E (IgE) contents and CD86 expression in a mouse model of bronchial asthma, and to investigate the mechanism of Pingchuan Recipe in regulating airway remodeling in mice with bronchial asthma.

OBJECTIVETo explore rest, cold compress and elevate (RICE) with rest, compress and elevate (RCE) without cold for the treatment of acute ankle sprain, in order to clear mid-term clinical effects.

METHODSEighty-nine patients with acute ankle sprains were collected from January 2013 to March 2014,including 30 males and 59 females aged from 18 to 60 years old with an average of 36 years old; the time from injury to hospital ranged from 3 to 24 h with an average of 9 h. All patients were divided into two groups according to visiting sequence. There were 45 patients in RICE group, and 45 patients in RCE groups. The main therapeutic effect index was evaluated by Karlsson scoring, and secondary therapeutic effect index was pain and satisfactory VAS scores. Safety index evaluated by adverse event.

RESULTSOn the 2nd weeks after injury, Karlsson score in RICE group was 44.66 ± 11.58, and 46.67 ± 8.52 in RCE group, while there was no statistical significance between two groups in Karlsson scores (P > 0.05). Karlsson score of two groups after treatment were higher than before treatment. There was no significantly meaning in pain and satisfactory VAS scores between two groups (P > 0.05). No adverse reaction were occurred between two groups.

CONCLUSIONCold compress did not receive much more final gains, and no evidence showed cold compress could affect recovery of joint function.
