Chongqing Medicine 2015;(14):1936-1938
Objective To compare the curative effects between one‐stage anterior debridement bone graft fusion and posteri‐or fixation fusion combined with anterior debridement bone graft fusion in the treatment of multiple lower thoracic spinal tuberculo‐sis .Methods A total of 62 patients with multiple lower thoracic spinal tuberculosis in our hospital from March 2002 to March 2010 were treated by the anterior debridement bone graft fusion ,including 32 cases of anterior internal fixation by one screw‐rod system (group A) and 30 cases of posterior internal fixation by two nail‐stick systems(group B) .The cure rate ,operation time ,bleeding volume ,the Cobb′s angle and recovery situation of spinal cord injury were compared between the two groups .Results All patients were followed up for 24-36 months (average 28 months) and showed successful bone graft fusion .In the Frankel classification e‐valuation at postoperative 12 months ,the improvement rate of spinal cord injury was 76 .92% (10/13) in the group A and 81 .82%(9/11) in the group B ,showing no statistically significant difference (χ2 =0 .087 ,P>0 .05) .The total cure rate was 84 .38% (27/32) in the group A and 85 .48% (26/30) in the group B ,showing no statistically significant difference (χ2 =0 .066 ,P>0 .05) .The Cobb′s angles before operation ,immediately after operation and at the last follow‐up were (28 .16 ± 4 .16)° ,(5 .03 ± 3 .24)° and (8 .81 ± 2 .44)° in the group A and (26 .83 ± 5 .41)° ,(5 .50 ± 3 .03)° and(8 .06 ± 2 .45)° in the group B ,showing no statistically sig‐nificant difference (t=1 .038 ,t=0 .588 ,t=1 .200 ,all P>0 .05) .The operation time was (171 .31 ± 12 .84)min in the group A and (219 .23 ± 21 .44)min in the group B ,showing statistically significant difference (t=10 .754 ,P<0 .05) .The bleeding volume was (341 .25 ± 76 .10)mL in the group A and (440 .67 ± 67 .16)mL in the group B ,showing statistically significant difference (t=5 .439 ,P<0 .05) .Conclusion One‐stage anterior debridement ,and anterior or posterior internal fixation for treating multiple lower thoracic spinal tuberculosis can obtain the better curative effect ,but selecting case is very important .
4.Effect of paeonol on expression and function of drug transporters BCRP and SLCO1 B1 in HepG2 cell
Chinese Journal of Biochemical Pharmaceutics 2015;(3):6-9
Objective To investigate influences of paeonol on mRNA expression and function of drug transporters BCRP and SLCO1B1 in HepG2 cell. Methods Cell counting Kit-8 assay was used to detect the viability of HepG2 cells;Real-time fluorescent quantitative PCR (qPCR) was performed to measure the expressions of BCRP and SLCO1B1 mRNAs; flow cytometry was applied to determine the transport functions of BCRP and SLCO1B1. Results Paeonol (2-8μg/mL) did not decrease HepG2 cell survival rate, but 16 μg/mL paeonol significantly reduced cell survival rate (P<0.05). Paeonol(2-8μg/mL)significantly induced the mRNA expression and function of drug transporters BCRP and SLCO1B1(P <0.05).Compared with control group, transcription level of paeonol group’s BCRP and SLCO1B1 drug transporters obviously up-regulated, the of translocation efficiency of substrate specificity increased significantly (P <0.05).Conclusion Paeonol can induce drug hepatocellular transporters BCRP and SLCO1B1 gene expression, thereby promote the substrate transport the transmembrane. It is indicated that the drug combination of paeonol and BCRP and SLCO1B1 transporters, there may be a risk of drug interactions.
5.Integrin-linked kinase and diabetic nephropathy
Journal of Medical Postgraduates 2004;0(01):-
Cellular functions like proliferation, differentiation, migration, morphogenesis and apoptosis are modulated by the extracellular matrix.Integrins are the prototypic heterodimeric transmembrane matrix receptors with competing affinities for individual extracellular matrix ligands. The intracellular integrin domain clusters cytoplasmic proteins into focal adhesion plaques for bidirectional(outside-in and inside-out) signaling.Integrin-linked kinase(ILK) is an intracellular serine/threonine protein kinase that interacts with the cytoplasmic domains of ?-integrins.ILK organizes the connections of the extracellular matrix via integrins to the cytoskeleton and is involved in adhesion plaque signaling, and it plays a crucial role in the pathogenesis of chronic renal fibrosis.High glucose induces the upregulation of the synthesis and activity of ILK in cultivated mouse podocytes and mesangial cells. The ILK protein level is significantly increased in diabetic glomeruli.ILK activity is likely to provide the basis for an effective therapeutic method for diabetic nephropathy. This review gives an introduction of ILK structure and function, followed by a summary of our current understanding of ILK in diabetic nephropathy with a special focus on glomerular cell-matrix interaction.
6.Application of propranolol in women with hyperthyroidism during pregnancy and lactation
Chinese Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism 2010;26(10):907-909
Physicians often encounter patients with both hyperthyroidism and pregnancy in clinical practice. Proper treatment will help a lot for both mother and fetus. However, whether propranolol could be applied routinely in the medical therapy other than antithyroid drugs is not regularly mentioned in text book, because there were few literatures reporting its side effects including miscarrage, intrauterine growth retardation, bradycardia, respiratory depression, hypoglycemia, and hyperbilirubinemia. Animal experiments revealed bradycardia after propranolol administration, and respiratory depression after birth due to blockage of β receptors in the lungs. Nevertheless, this drug has been considered safe in pregnant hyperthyroid women according to long-term experience, as no malformation has been demonstrated in the offsprings, and it helps a lot in hyperemesis gravidarum as well. Specialists also recommend short-term use like a few weeks before antithyroid drugs set in action and during thyroid storm, in order to avoid potential side effects. It is suggested that less than routine-dose of the drug be administered before labor, as the plasma drug concentration in the neonate would elevate after birth. As for lactating mother, it's safe to take regular dose of the drug because only extremely low dose will be taken by the neonate through milk.
7.Prevention and therapy of small cell lung cancer with brain metastasis
Journal of International Oncology 2014;(8):588-591
Small cell lung cancer with brain metastasis is the most common type in brain metastasis tumors with the poor prognosis. Researches show that prophylactic cranial irradiation is not only effective in the prevention and treatment of limited disease brain metastases of small cell lung cancer, but also effective for extensive disease. Moreover, certain medications such as mannitol, nimustine etc also play an important sup-porting role, but there are many other uncertain parts in terms of prevention and treatment remaining controver-sial and needing further research.
8.CXCL4 and its receptor in colorectal cancer
Journal of International Oncology 2013;(5):362-365
CXC chemokine ligand 4 (CXCL4) is a platelet-derived chemokine, and it belongs to CXC subfamily. Its receptor is CXC chemokine receptor 3 (CXCR3),which belongs to the seven transmebrane G-protein-coupled receptor family, and its coreceptor is glycosaminoglycan (GAG).CXCL4 and its receptors take part in the regulation of many biological processes, such as immune regulation, inflammatory response, endothelial cell proliferation and migration and angiogenesis.Recent studies show that CXCL4 and its receptor have significant influence on the cell growth, angiogenesis, invasion and metastasis of colorectal cancer, which offers a new perspective to explore the mechanism of colorectal cancer and its targeted therapy.

Transient tachypnea of the newborn (TTN) is the most common cause of respiratory distress.TTN is a self-limiting disease which has a good prognosis but sometimes severe cases may cause pulmonary edema, respiratory distress, pulmonary air leak or persistent pulmonary hypertension.Researchers have many studies about pathogenesis, clinical features, treatment of TTN at home and abroad, and they have new progress. This article will summarize recent research progress on TTN.
10.Therapeutic Observation of Acupuncture at Guangming (GB37) and Diwuhui (GB42) in Treating Dry Eye Due to Different Syndromes
Shanghai Journal of Acupuncture and Moxibustion 2017;36(8):964-967
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of acupuncture at Guangming (GB37) and Diwuhui (GB42) in treating dry eye due to different syndromes. Method Thirty-nine dry eye patients (78 eyes) conforming to syndrome of up-flaming liver fire or liver-kidney yin deficiency were randomized into a distant group and a periocular group, to receive acupuncture at distant acupoints [Guangming (GB37) and Diwuhui (GB42)] and periocular acupoints [Cuanzhu (BL2), Tongziliao (GB1), and Taiyang (EX-HN5)], respectively. Result In the distant group, the total effective rate was 60.0% after 2-week acupuncture and 75.0% after 4-week acupuncture; in the periocular group, the total effective rate was 53.6% after 2-week acupuncture and 65.8% after 4-week acupuncture. There were no significant differences between the two groups (P>0.05). The tear production and tear film break-up time (BUT) were significantly improved in both groups after the intervention (P<0.05). The inter-group difference in the improvement of up-flaming liver fire syndrome score was statistically insignificant (P>0.05), while the inter-group difference in the improvement of liver-kidney yin deficiency syndrome score was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Acupuncture at Guangming and Diwuhui can boost the improvement of dry eye symptoms and tear production, and prolong BUT; dry eye due to up-flaming liver fire achieved a satisfactory therapeutic efficacy in both groups, while liver-kidney yin deficiency type responded better to acupuncture at distant acupoints.
