Objective To investigate epidemiological and clinical features of patients with clonorchiasis sinensis infection. Methods The epidemiological, clinical, laboratory and treatment data of clonorchiasis patients in Department of Infectious Diseases, Second Affiliated Hospital, Harbin Medical University from 2002 to 2004 were retrospectively analyzed. Results Sixty-eight point two percent patients had a history of eating raw freshwater fish and shrimp. Patients with occupations as cook, fish stock man, fishing man and fishmonger accounted for 22.6%. The transmission route was not clear in 9.1% of patients. The common clinical manifestations were abdominal pain (60.3%), fatigue (52.3%), diarrhea (33.0%), anorexia (69.3%), jaundice (23.9%), hepatomegaly (59.1%), splenomegaly (8.0%), dizziness (20.9%), fever (5.7%) and biliary colic (14.8%). Twenty-eight point four percent were asymptomatic. Other findings included liver dysfunction (70.4 %) and eosinophile granulocyteosis(69.3 %). Negative rate of stool egg of clonorchis sinensis after treatment with praziquantel or albendazole was 91.9% or 86.5%, respectively. There was no significant difference between the two groups ( χ2 = 0.561, P = 0.454). Conclusions Clinical manifestations of patients with clonorchiasis sinensis are complicated and often accompanied with liver dysfunction. Clonorchiasis sinensis is often misdiagnosed and should be paid much attention.

With the deterioration of environment, and the excessive collection of wild resources, the wild populations of Myla- bris phalerata Pallas are less and less, almost extincted in many traditional distribution areas. It is necessary to breed M. phalerata artificially for sustainable utilization. Food preference of adult M. phalerata is the key to its provenance screening and domestication in the artificial breeding. In this paper, the food preference of 3 geographical populations of M. phalerata was studied. The results showed that the food preferences of adult M. phalerata in different geographical populations were different. The adult M. phalerata in Wuming preferred cucumber flowers, gourd flowers and melon flowers. The adult M. phalerata in Tianlin preferred cowpea flowers. And the adult M. phalerata in Guangzhou preferred cowpea flowers and gourd flowers. Gourd flowers were the most attractive food for the adult M. phalerata of 3 geographical populations of M. phalerata.

Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2006;0(13):-
Congenital heart disease with left-to-right shunt easily lead to pulmonary hypertension.Currently agreed about its mechanism:shear stress induced by high pulmonary blood flow stimulus pulmonary endothelium,to start regulation of genetic transcription,to initiate a series of molecular biology and pathophysiology changes, and finally to lead to pulmonary vascular pathologic remolding.Nuclear factor(NF)-?B is a kind of nuclear factor with multiple biological effect and play an important role in pulmonary vascular remolding.NF-?B signal can be actiacted by high blood flow. Its target gene products, for example, vasoactive mediators, cytokines, make pulmonary vessels difficulty to maintain the normal structure and cause pulmonary vascular contraction and remolding, thus, pulmonary arterial pressure increases.
